  1. No worries. I'm working on it with him. He has us all paid up for dinner (pre-bar tab, anyway) with MC, so we'll just need to handle the bar tab. So you boys who a) drink a lot and 2) are still jonesing to play CCR, you'll probably get your chance that night if you want.
  2. I had QQ in an MTT very much facing this same exact case (same type of opponents). I folded because it was late ITM and the $ for each payout level mattered to me. I ended up seeing an AK vs. JJ and my QQ would've held. The winner of this hand busted the loser and ended up beating me HU thanks to a 4:1 chiplead at the end. I was happy with 2nd but realized after that I would've easily won the tourney if I'd played this hand. Anyway, I posted the hand afterward and everyone agreed (before knowing the outcome) that I should've RRAI, simply based on EV, the stacks and the ranges of the villains.I
  3. Don't know if everyone realizes, but Copernicus having to miss dinner and our poker tourney after would be pretty much on par with nutzbuster having to miss our golf outing. He's been hugely involved in the process of putting this all together and him not getting to enjoy the fruits of his labor is just the ultimate suckout. He will be sorely missed on Friday.Cop--thanks again and get well, man!
  4. I, too, played Memorial Day and had way more bad shots than good.I was still good and pissed at losing to the two worst sore winners (and losers) I have ever called friends, so I went to the range tonight.Completely wasted the first bucket swinging as hard as I could while repeating the words, "Swing it out, b*tch" after each wretched shot. Then I calmed down. The back spasms forced the issue. When I resumed with the second bucket, I tried to focus on my biggest problem...extending my arms.Soon, I was swatting some pretty good ones. Never in the desired direction, mind you. But far enough to fee
  5. I'm on the road to Vegas in 54 hours, and I can't stop my leg from shaking. It is very possible this could be the most unproductive week in my entire career.
  6. I don't know, but if you find out how, PM copernicus. He's our mobney$ man now.Oh, and saw your post on the clubs. I'll check your tee time (I'm in a later group), but I'll make sure to have 'em there for you.
  7. QFT...so much so I posted it in the other thread about SNG ROIs, as well. Thanks, flint.
  8. Just saw this from flintsword in another thread on how to pronounce ROI. I think it's an excellent point...
  9. I'll try to give your question some love, since I struggle with a similar dilemma as an SNG player primarily. Many here will say the sample alone is not enough, and I would agree. But if you're a casual player like me, playing 1000 SNGs would take, well, a really long time. So taking another angle, if your ROI is 20%, presumably your net profit is ~$110, no?(660-550)/550=20% ($550 being your cost of 100 $5+.50 SNGs)If that's the case, I would say don't move up just based on your bankroll. Your profit is only 10 SNGs at $10+1, and this is definitely not enough to play at this level regularly.
  10. Jeebus. That's awful. At this rate, someday we'll all just shuffle around and growl/mumble/bark at each other.
  11. Keys have been struck in similar patterns before, but I'll do it once again...I <3 BG
  12. Holy crap, I had to look that one up. Do people say the whole phrase or do they pronounce the acronym as a word?
  13. Sweeet...who's the luckbox now? Seriously BG, I'd like to give the Vokey a try that morning and I'll only keep it if I can show it the same love it's gotten used to (i know, fat chance there). Thanks!
  14. Your first Arnold Palmer at the course is on me if you let me hit this club a few on the range.
  15. FWIW, I have NEVER EVER heard anyone pronounce it "roy." Always "arr-o-eye."Also, a little known fact that ROI actually has an infamous past, ala KFC. In medieval times, just like "Kitchen Fresh" was once "Kentucky Fried," "Return on Investment" was once "Rank of Inequity," a realistic, if not somewhat cynical, measure of how favorable (or not) a trade, bartering agreement or transaction was. Of course, in those days, ROI was measured not in %'s but in hard goods. For example, the decision of a pillaging warrior to take the single-but-somewhat-homely daughter of a beheaded foe would have an ROI
  16. Chrozzo...you're not renting clubs unless you want to. I've got a spare set I'm bringing...Ping irons, Taylor Made driver and 5-wood (Bubble Burners), with a standard issue putter. Plenty of tees and golf balls as well. They're yours if you want them.
  17. <beat><beat><beat>LOL!“Dolphins are intelligent and friendly… intelligent and friendly on some rye bread with some Mayonnaise." - Cartman
  18. Everyone has a purpose...Theirs is to make me mobnies.
  19. As your probable cart partner (or worse, your opposing cart driver in our foursome), I applaud this decision.
  20. I am down for this...:invitingmyselftojoinyouface:
  21. Despite a plethora of slurs, surprisingly, I didn't.Whatever someone said: It's not a stereotype if it's true.
