There's a big difference between online casinos and brick & mortar ones. Online casinos don't have to worry about limited square footage, or paying the cost of dealer salaries and benefits.Really... I'm trying to point out that you seem to be overlooking online poker and it's contribution to poker popularity. In most European countries you won't find a good profitable b&m room for cashgames. So many players are starting off online and might play for months and months without even playing live a single time, so a vegas cardroom closing down doesn't make a difference.Christiansen, is th

Hehe, the setup actually looks much like the Partypokercracked website, and that ebook is a ripoff. They consulted marketing folks? I can design a better website than that in less than an hour, and I only did a year of webdesign and business IT.Who knows, perhaps it transforms the reader into a dominator of poker but I'll put my money on "probably not".

I agree. I primarily play cashgames online as well and I don't see online poker rooms replacing their tables with slots  With advancements of technology I can only look forward to what internet poker will look like in say, 10 years. Who knows, maybe we'll all play in online 3d cyber-rooms when slotmachines have conquered earth.

Why I do not Like On Line Poker - Bad Mannered Idiots

Worst are the people who are trying to give lessons at the table, especially when they're wrong."YOU CAN'T CALL THAT I POT BET, YOU WERE 4 to 1" They're mostly guys who've just started reading their first book and feel like pro's when they share their uncomplete newfound information. Even though trying to teach your opponents how to play is.. errr.. less than optimal strategy? löl. -
Dangerzone when you've got less than 10x sb and bb. Depends on how aggressively the blinds are moving up as well. Especially in online tournaments you might only have 10x the bb and still be above average stack when you're near final table.

You get much more valuable information just buying a couple of books. I can't really recommend any DVD's unless you're a true beginner.

There's a simple rule of thumb here, 300x bb(big bet) bankroll. Some manage 250, while others feel more secure with 350. Ex, $600 for a 1/2 fixed table. This is for FL, I'll assume that you're talking about FL. If you think you have great poker skills you should just try and play some lowstake NL in which you'll be able to protect your hands better. + I built my bankroll up from low limits much faster by playing NL, varies from person to person though. If FL frustrates you then go with NL.Just be warned that if you're infact not a good player you could end up losing a lot more due to leaks at

No idea what it's like over there. Fortunately, in Europe they don't know what to do with it, so it's not taxable.

Yup, I read his book called Hero Of poker or something and it had lots of stuff about Fungimentals n stuff. who cares about mushrooms im trying to LEARN POKER HERE. -
Wouldn't you be better off mailing pokermountains support

I think it's sort of a basic hold'em book as it has nothing in there for no limit and pot limit (in terms of near optimal play). Nothing conclusive about short handed or tournament play. You'll learn almost all you need to know for a good _solid_ 10 player fixed game (and this is all you'll get), if you play INTERNET high stakes you'll need to be a bit trickier than the book suggests. You can go on and read more advanced books after this. It's a good book I recommend for beginning and average online players, I always recommend that people learn hold'em by playing full fixed limit ring games b
