Your line looks good to me, but I get scared easy. I'm putting villain on a set here a lot of the time, but not enough to raise the river after a 3bet turn. Then again, what possible hands could he have that beat us that 3bet pf? AcKc, Ac9c? Does AXs 3bet against a steal from sb a lot at this level?

Take this with a grain of salt, because I don't really play too much NL, but I hate this fold.If you're going to call this preflop, (which I think you should) why would you fold to a lead out on a great flop like this? It's very unlikely he has a 9 or a set, and I think overcards lead this often enough that you should call/push. Esp. shorthandedWith regards to bubble play, shouldn't you be more/same aggro @ bubble, as opposed to trying to fold into the money?

Hero checks? I don't think you get called by anything that you beat here, and I think all flushes will call.

It looks ok to me. While BB may think you are FOS, given the overcards on the flop it is more likely that he hit one of them. You're hand is extremely weak, so it seems like a fold.

MP is a huge donkey, limps w/ a lot of crap pf, bluffs all the way w/ nothing, seems to call down when raised. Prefaced by saying I'm a newbie.Hand 1: I play the same. Extremely connected flop, I assume I'm behind and c/fHand 2: I fold the turn. Even getting 11.5 to one, you only have overcards, which might not even be clean.Hand 3: I fold the river. What could villain possibly have that you beat?

I think betting here is good? You probably would have heard from an ace here already, and theJ board doesn't seem too draw heavy, so it's not very likely a missed draw that will fold to a river bet.I think you get called often enough by second pair/ worse in order to bet this.

I think raising the flop is a good idea. If the player is a loose passive and 3-bets, you are probably behind, and may be able to lay this down on the turn (depending on the strength of read as well as pot odds.)I don't know, though, because I find it really hard to lay down overpairs.

Preflop looks OK to me.Turn is somewhat read dependent: Bet/fold is ok against a loose passive player who doesn't bluff raise. Check/call is better against aggressive players. Check/fold sucks. Why give him credit for a K? If checked to on a dangerous board, a lot of players will bet with nothing.Read replies:Is bet/call better than check/call? I think too many people are misunderstanding the OP.1.) He is NOT playing 10/20 with a $1k br. He is saying that he buys in for $1k, which is an insignificant part of his br.2.) He feels he can make a larger profit at higher limits. He has played at small stakes, not necessarily as a losing player, but thinks he can win more at higher stakes, and won't have as many suckouts.3.) Table selection is the key. He's playing at tables with crappy players, and not a lot of good players.GL to OP. Have fun playing 10/20.I'll keep grinding out micro-limits where I can actually win.
