  1. pwned is gayit is a mispelling of ownedfrom 15 year olds playing first person shooting gamesyou can see why it is gay
Thanks, youve cured my curiousity. Its very gay, and I'll never worry about these dumbass abbreviations again.
  2. I thought by betting the turn, it makes it look like I'm stealing.Just makes it look like you flopped a flush. Raosing the flop looks like you're stealing.Glad you got paid off, I'd never play it that way.good luck.
I dont agree that it looks like he flopped a flush. The guy just showed some weakness and now youre making a weak bet 'to steal'. An overpair or AK may well raise this bet. If he has AK, he may not call a flop raise anyway (unless he holds K :club: ). I like the flop check, hoping for another bet on the turn, he'll probably put you on the A :D and try to chase you out by not giving you good odds to call. As already said, I think that I would have bet a little more on the turn though. All in all, you did get a nice pay off and my not have had you raised the flop. In this situation its tough to know where youre at and therefore know the correct play to make. PS. I dont like calling a raise with A6s in that position.
  3. I think of these 'eating bets' as a competition, like any other competition. Playing football, boxing, and sitting at a poker table for 40 hours arent good for you either but those things are competition. I hate to over eat, I feel terrible, but a challenge is a challenge, and if its doable and not too detrimental, I'm likely to take it for the right price.

  4. Were you prepared to push it on an all-unders flop?It looks to me like you're up against QQ or KK. AK...well, I guess he could have it, but I really hate his weak preflop re-raise. If he has AQ, pay him off for being an idiot. He'll eventually lose it back to you.I don't really like committing 1/4th of our stack preflop with JJ, though. One thing I've discovered in 1/2 live games. Players love to make huuuuge raises preflop because they're scared to play post-. You end up getting players making it 17 dollars and then refusing to let go of their hand.At first, I fell into the, "it's the standard raise" trap, but then I just started playing my own game, raising to 6-10 preflop and going from there. Yes, I tend to get more callers, but the pots I win are big and the ones I lose tend to be small.
Youre not giving him AA? Let say AA, KK, QQ, AK, AQ, and what the hell TT (It is a live game and its not that crazy of a range). He's almost dead v. KK and drawing to 20% v. AQ or diamonds. So lets say its a win roughly 2/3 for 2.5 to 1 on money plus a fold equity. Seems like a good bet to me.Is this math/thinking correct?
  5. I really hate the bet the pot button just because. I don't like betting the pot every street and when I played full tilt .25/.50 betting less than the pot was intrepretting as weakness a lot of the times (but not enough of the time that I could really use it as a feign weakness type play). I really hate it deep in tourneys where a 1/2 pot bet should be sufficient but you will always run into a guy who is going to take it as weakness because the standard is bet the pot.(This is just on top of the fact that is already stated, "donks not giving good prices to draw")
I freaking hate the bet pot button for this exact reason. Some donk thinks you're weak for betting less and overbets a BS hand which you now call and either price him or yourself in for whatever comes. You end up having to always bet at least the pot to show strength, typically I prefer to show strength strong or not, so this button doesn't help me when Im faking weakness. I wonder why, in the genius of poker websites, they implemented this button in the first place. The cynic's answer, I'm sure, will be, 'to make bigger pots' but is that really it or is it just a big mistake?
  6. Does anyone know which other websites are skins like FCP? And since these are skins, which is the main host site? Can I have different accounts with each skin?(Couldnt find this on the net anywhere. Sure FCP doesnt want us going elsewhere, just curious though.)

  7. Does anybody else find it hysterical that the website is called 'Full Contact Poker' and sports a dude with a black eye yet you can vote someone off a table because 'they weren't playing nicely with others. Waaaaaaaaaahhhh!'LOL

  8. What is the concensus as to how large a raise to fold to with a PP PF? I play middle and low PP's pretty standard, limp early and middle, limp and sometimes raise late. I usually call smallish raises in position and fold to double raises for the same amount. Incidentally, lastnight I open raised (4-5x BB) in MP with JJ and the BB tripled my bet, I folded. I think it was a situation that being in position was actually being out of position, so Id need to flop a set or be prepared to call or raise a big bet to an all under board. Thoughts?

  9. Call me weak-tight, but I do not call raises with AJ, unless there's a lot of callers... then I play it for the straight, the flush and 2-pair minimum. What could people be raising with that you are ahead? AT?AJ is a trouble hand.
Absolutely. But I probably make the call knowing that I am walking on thin ice. If you flop your A or J you must play fast with the ability to dump it later. Or just fold and wait for a better spot.
  10. Honestly I dont like your play very much. It is exactly that play why you hear people say things like "AA..either you win a small one or lose a big one." I usually play AA fast under the pretense that I absolutely want to avoid losing with it exactly because I am such a PF favorite. Why give away your +ev? I dont mind limping in early position but once the raise I think you should reraise. The most money stands to be made vs. other PP's. I know this post may be construed as weak tight but I must say that my win % with AA has definitely increased with AA since Ive stuck to this approach. And increasing pots won is certainly my objective.

  11. Ok I know I'm not the OP, but I'm setting a groundrule:If you come up with a new tag, it has to be a NEW tag...not one where you just re-arranged the letters to say the same thing as someone else already did, or changed a hand it mentions, etc.
Are you referring to my AQNOGOOD?Well it has a completely different meaning. Allow me to explain. AKNOGOOD is cynical and hates the world. AQNOGOOD loves the world and is promoting solid play. Now your enlightened.Maybe you can enlighten me. What's PWN?
  12. Cool Interview. Thanks man, (sup Balloon?)The HU match looked ........a little awkward between them. I dunno, the past and everything. Evy looked sorta sad and D looked a little uncomfortable. Oh well, I'm sure they are good friends. :club:
I thought DN was very condescending throughout the entire match. I dont care if we were friends that would piss me off, especially on television. He was criticizing every play and telling her 'what she should have done.' It was embarrassing, even if he was absolutely right, its not the point.
