  1. I just checked that out myself. I think they might have expanded Lure and turned it into to XS which also looks pretty cool. Sorry if my advice was out of date....
Yeah, XS looks nice.Is Ghostbar good anymore? I went there long time ago and the bachelor likes it and wants to go but I dont know, do people still go there?Im not the best man, but Im definitely the coordinator of this trip.
  2. This place is overrated garbage plain and simple (no one that lives here really goes to it)...dont waste your money.Lavo is restaranty early in the night...ive never been there late though so i have no info for you there.
Any suggestions then?Lure sounds good but why isnt it on the Wynn or Encore website? I been to Tryst, we got a table but it was way in the back which kind of sucked.
  3. Bushmills, bushmills, bushmills.
I just had a 30th birthday party and got about 8 bottles of whisky and booze, no kidding. My reputation is awesome. Mostly Black Label, as thats my fav but I got a bottle of Bushmills 1608 also, Im very excited about it. Also got a blue and green label and a bottle of patron. I love booze.
  4. I wasnt the biggest fan of Troy. Kind of a DB if you ask me. Just another player that thinks they are way better than they are. He mentioned grinding harder than anyone there, getting into shit with Viffer and Rahim (not that that wasnt called for, but youre on a show and he's an idiot just let him be), and I think the exact quote was "Im probably the best producer for 100 miles. Artists love being produced by me." I dont know, he was a bit unsavory for me.Plus he reminded me of this guy:benny.jpg"I got 5 kids to feed!!"HAHAHAI'll give him this though, his raps were pretty good....

  5. Firefly!! (Not for steak, but it's the best, and the bill will shock you in the opposite way)Leaving for Vegas tomorrow actually, I'd be surprised if we don't go at least twice.
Looks good! Especially since we're right at the Hard Rock. There are just so many places to eat, its hard to narrow it down. Im thinking about trying Bouchon as well for another fine dining experience.
  6. Carnevino in the palazzo is frequently rated as the best steakhouse in las vegas. It's mario batali's place. The 40+oz 2 person ribeye is one of the best things i've ever eaten. Also, get the mashed potatoes for sure.
Its just so ridiculously expensive! Frankly, I can bring myself to spend the money but is there any bigger downer than after you've had a king's meal and youre feeling on top of the world, then the check comes and your dinner mates are utterly flabbergasted? Blaming you with there eyes at the atrocity that has been committed, that look that if they could they'd rather regurgitate the food then pay the bill?Maybe I should leave the restaurant to someone else.
  7. The Golden Steer. Trust me. Call ahead and say it is a bachelor party and they will give you a private room. You will have to adventure off the Strip, but it is worth it. On the Strip, Prime is my favorite, but is pricey. Others love Delmonico, but I had a lousy experience there (albeit I have only gone once -- due to the lousy experience).
THanks, I'll check it out. What have I got to lose? Also, I am trying to decide whether or not to drag these guys to a show. Myself and Im pretty sure the bachelor, would be into it, but Im thinking some of the other fags will think its gay. Ive seen La Reve and loved it, Im leaning towards O.
  8. PokerNews also reported:http://www.pokernews.com/live-reporting/20...post.159890.htmSo the hand is dead when "one" is said; not "zero."I asked Jack Effel:Jack replied:I then said:Of course, Jack didn't reply to this statement.
If the difference between "one" and "zero" matter to a player.... his hand should be dead anyway. What retard would yell out "Call!!" AFTER a TD says one but not zero??????
  9. Prahlad Friedman Free-rollingThere was massive confusion and lots of debating around a table in the Pavilion Room. The story goes that Prahlad Friedman was in the big blind and was squared off in a hand versus the small blind. The flop came jack-high and Friedman’s opponent bet into him. Friedman called and there was heavy betting on the turn. On the river, the small blind bet 80,000, which was more than enough to put Friedman all in. Friedman went into the tank for minutes before his opponent finally called the clock on him. The floor came over and started giving the countdown. With three seconds left, Friedman announced call and everyone at the table heard him. However, apparently the floor didn’t hear the call, continued the countdown to zero and announced that Friedman’s hand was dead. Friedman’s opponent tabled top two and Friedman didn’t turn over his dead hand. Friedman said that his opponent had the best hand. Allegedly, Friedman should have been eliminated but from the ruling was still alive and free-rolling the rest of the way.
    More ESPN drama for Prahlad?
  10. Is Jason Mercier really 23? His success and attitude, make me so incredibly jealous that I actually hate his guts. Seriously though, aside from skills I feel like his very level, almost indifferent, emotional reaction to the game helps him immensely. That you just cant teach, most people (me) I feel are too emotional about the game and that impedes development.

  11. I know Eastgate was supposedly a pro before winning but who knows to what extent that was erally serious. Like was he just an out of work guy who played a lot of poker? Doesnt matter. Point is, for someone who didnt have a life invested in it (I.E. Negreanu, Ivey, etc.), after winning $9M I imagine the prospect of grinding it out at a poker table for the next 60 years is probably not that appealing. Although he got super lucky, as does anyone who wins the ME, after that its not like winning lotto, its hard, tedious work being a poker player.

  12. I thought that getting under someones skin is kind of relevant to making money in live poker?Maybe that's just me.
I suppose. Are you a player that sits at the table and talks trash to comlpete strangers? Or tries to embarrass them? I dont know, I have a pretty long history of live poker and I would say that only about 5% of players do that. They may hide behind "getting under someones skin is kind of relevant to making money in live poker" but it seems to me those same people are probably db's away from poker as well....
  13. I found it funny that everyone seemed upset at the internet millionaire's "Tip the dealer and I'll show you my hand" routine: Sure, if you lose a pot you don't tip, but usually the offer is "give ME money and I'll show you my hand", so I thought he added a nice twist to it.
Yeah but he was being a douche about it. Sort of "showing up" the others. He flat called Daniel cheap for not tipping when he lost a pot, then threw the dealer like $500 as an "in your face" to DN. Personally, if I just lost a pot and some db told me if I tip the dealer he'd show, I'd think he was an ******* too.
