I swear I run into this character a ton in NL cash games, but only occasionally in STT & MTTs. I don't always deal with it well and sometimes end up becoming too tight vs that player. So far all I've found is that one good check-pop with a decent-good hand at some point usually puts a little doubt in their head that a check automatically means weakness.I guess that is more apt to work in ring than tourny though because of the number of pots you'll be involved with them. I think CB with AQ/AK on a missed flop and just getting smooth called is one of my least favorite feelings. I usually just check-fold the turn, but the "Stopper" is just going to prey on that if looks like a pattern.

JDags is a beast. This guy is all over the net playing the biggest stakes for any game and he's like only 23. I really like his style and I never see him on the WSOP. He's been on WPT and the US Poker Championship but never on WSOP.

If you watch one of the first 2004 WSOP main event shows, you can see Dags sitting to Moneymaker's left. He chuckles a few times and looks on in horror at the play Moneymaker makes to bust out. Hopefully he plays a bunch of events this year, it would be interesting to see how they present him on TV after watching his online play for quite awhile.

Just busted out of the Freeroll in 19th place when AKs ran into Aces. That thing is such a grind. I kept doing it though, as I've cashed three times in the last week and a half. I caught a cold break around the bubble, with AQ sucking out for a flush against AK. I looked at my stats, I only lost one showdown all tourny and that was the one that put me out. I only saw 14% of flops, which is lower than it usually is for these things (around 16%-20%). I've been playing really well lately, especially considering the kind of players you have to wade through.
