Ivey crippled, down to less than a small bet. It was a hell of a comeback though. GG Ivey, congrats got to Sammy on his second bracelet barring devine intervention.Edit: Over, bed time finally.

Awesome, another break....don't they know I have a nice little Saturday planned for tomorrow/this morning. I don't know, I don't know if I'll have enough time.

Not sure what happened yet.1Sam Farha940,000 2Phil Ivey380,000Edit:Farha Adds to His Chip LeadSam Farha just made a full house to scoop the pot. Then scoops another pot when Phil Ivey's low is counterfeited on the river. Farha now has $940,000 to Ivey's $380,000.

680k/620k, Ivey's almost even.

We're all experts at that, we should be getting paid.Hahahaha, PokerPages also reported it wrong. Something is telling me they (PW & PP) are loged on to CardPlayer and hitting F5 a lot... -
The O8 events have had some pretty sick HU matches in the past, but this is definitely the topper. Matusow/Daniel & Matusow/Scotty in 02 and 99 would have been fun to see too.Probably the best HU match in the history of O8 at the WSOP. I mean, we've got the best player in the world vs. the best omaha player in the world. -
Heads up between Ivey and Sammy.I'd kill a kid's whole family to see this final table in it's entirety...damn the Hold Em frenzy.

hahaha that is sooo clowning, I love it.One BAD MOTHA SHUT YO MOUTHIvey Messing AroundPhil Ivey raises from the button to 40k and both Kirill Gerasimov and Sam Farha make the call. The flop is K96 and Ivey bets 20k. Farha makes the call. The turn is the J. Ivey bets 40k and Farha folds. While scooping the pot, Ivey show 2-2-2 in his hand face up on the table. -
Ivey is grindin...finally a player I'm rooting for's stack rises on updates instead of dwindling. Take this down.Edit:Ivey Taking Back ControlPhil Ivey is now up to $325,000 in chips and he has taken most of those chips from Kirill Gerasimov who is now down to $300,000. Sam Farha Scoops From Kirill GerasimovSam Farha raises to 40k from the small blind. Kirill Gerasimov makes the call from the big blind. The flop comes Kheart3club6diamond. Farha bets out 20k and Gerasimov calls. The turn is the 2diamond and Farha bets out 40k and once again Gerasimov calls. The river brings the 9club and Farha leads out again for 40k. Gerasimov calls and mucks his hand when Farha shows 4spade5spade6club9club for the six high straight and 4-5 low. After the hand, Gerasimov is down to $150,000 in chips and Farha increases his stack to $860,000.

Down to 75k before the break...due to the blinds I'm assuming.15 minutes more of waiting I guess.

The turn is the 7diamond and Cabanillas fires $100,000 and Hellmuth calls. The river is the 3heart, Hellmuth bets $440,000 and Cabanillas mucks his hand. Chip counts don't look to be updated yet

You know, I've read some stupid topics over the last couple days while lurking...but this one, this one is just special.

I wish Jfarrell was back too...he made the FCP poker world brighter with every comment.2 big pair should beat a small set -
Goehring is actually quite a player, he just plays with a much different strategy in mind than most players in the big buyin tournies. He explained the math and his thought process behind the K8 call and briefly defended his style awhile back on the 2+2 forums.

It's from the short lived Clerks animated TV show...the bit at the end of one of the shows in anime style is classic.Quick search of YouTube was successful:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-aBQiQVz_s4&search=clerk

I seem to have that one blow up ever few days that costs me a buy in at 6 Max NL. I usually play my A game when I've been at a table for quite a bit and have a good idea of the texture and who to play back at. Yet I continue to have those little brain farts where I sit down at a new table and go broke with TPTK without any reads and the villian min-raises a non threating turn card. Instead of waiting for a better spot when I have a good idea where I stand...I put the blinders on, become a donkey, and push back. Yes I'm an idiot.

I know it's quite low limit, but playing against short stacks in low buy in NL seems like a leaky part of my game at times.I'd been at the table for a bit and had some notes on Villian...he was usually extremely passive and called down with a ton of quetionable hands. Over the past 15 or so hands I'd raised his BB from the SB three times and he either moved in PF or after I CB'd the flop.Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $.25 BB (4 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FCP)Button ($12.38)Hero ($40.71)BB ($10.15)UTG ($9.95)Preflop: Hero is SB with 5

Chaulk me up in the just call PF catagory...with no reads or idea on the makeup of the table I definitely can't see the point in building a huge pot. I don't want to be involved in a pot that size with a vulnerable hand like JJ, with no idea on the range villian opens with...especially 7.5x the BB. Even though live NL opening raises tend to be larger than typical online, it's rare that someone opening that large would lay down to a re-raise. The re-raise also commits hero to CB the flop pretty much no matter what comes out, whereas smooth calling makes getting to showdown on a Q 10 10 board much cheaper. I'd just rather play the hand a little weaker and fold to a fair bit of action on the flop/turn or check behind on the flop and see what villian does on the turn and reassess.
