  1. well, i finally had my 1st winning session in 2 months at live poker...granted, i haven't been playing much, but after 10 losers in a row, it felt good...i misplayed quite a few hands...but wanted to knw what y'all thought...my reads are minimal, usuallly loose and crazy, weak tight, or tight/agg....when this hand comes up, i just bluffed the woman in the pot 3 hands ago with a/4 suited on a 3 5 8 10 k no flush draw when i fired all 3 streets....k on the river gave me the ability to get her to fold....i think she flashed 8/9...anyways, i'm in bb with kk....utg foldsutg + 1 foldsmp calls $5 (has whole table covered, extremely loose agg, but is soo predictable, checks his made hands on the flop, and throws out ridiciulous overbets for bulffs...)mp + 1 foldsmp + 2 calls $5 (lady whom i was speaking about...dont know her really yet, but i saw her open limp with a/5 off and won when she flopped an a...seems weak tight..her stack is about 150)hijack foldsbutton calls $5sb calls $3hero raises to $45 (my stack is about $520)mp calls $40mp+ 2 calls $45flop - $145k 10 10 with two spadeshero bets out $60mp raises to $200mp + 2 CALLS all-in $105 ishhero??Now, i have about $400 left...and I'm thinking there is a good chance that mp is on a bluff...if i call, the side pot will be about $170....if mp is on a bluff or flush draw, i can let him catch up or let him try to take it away on the turn or river...if i just shove on top, i take away his bluff (with a decent side pot, and money behind, i think he has to go for the side pot if he's on a bluff right??)... i think the mp +2 made this hand messed up for me...if she had a bigger stack and just called, or shoved, it would have been much easier....but if mp is on a flush draw/straight draw, then i doubt he's folding to my shove...If mp + 2 wasn't aggro, i probably wuld just shove and hope to get called my a case K or some j/10 hand...or even k/10 hand....but knowing that he would just call my bet on the flop with a 10 or a boat, i think he's either on pure air, a flush draw or a king....i have no clue what mp+2 has, and i wans't even thinking about it....lol...thoughts????more mis played hands to come...

  2. Read it wrong. That being said, :club:, one of the downfalls to posting at work.Thought the rest of my post still stands.Bet more on the flop and bet the turn and avoid this whole situation.
lol,.....how did u know i was at work????? or were you talking about yourself too? but yeah, i meant over the raise...
  3. imo, i think you need to shove this flop...i think there is enough bluffs in his range (especially since you saw him call down with aa previously), and on top of that, the board looks good to to him to bluff the flop...unless you have a big pp, which you do, you most likely miss this board with your 3bet range and would fold to a raise...as played, i most likely fold on the river - looks like a value bet, but it could be thin value from a j...i think it's close......but like covair said, i'm just learning..

  4. yah i would say i would wait for at the very least 10 buyins before we bump open another table, 12 would be much better. i mean 6 BI's on 2 tables it takes like 3-4 coolers a session and we are dead in the water, and if you are playing aggro and getting good value from your hands should be a possibility.
you know, its crazy sometimes...i deposited 100 the last time i played online, and went straight two 2 tables of 50nl 6 max. in about 6 hands on 1 table, i got it all in, a6 suited on all suited board...had nut flush, against a set of twos...next two cards were k,k..lol. ggabout 10 min later, on my last table, i built to about 75, and the only person at the table who covers me, we get it all in preflop, with my AA against his JJ...and the river is a Jack.(hurt so much more coming on the river)..so yeah, varaince is a bitch...i made perfectly good decesions, and got my money in as good as you could possibly get it..so if i were you, i'd have at least 20 buyins...and i wouldn't jump into the 50nl game with 280...
  5. Rumsey,In live poker, villains are WAY more likely to call a 75 dollar bet on the river when they have ~200 left, than calling a 200 dollar bet. Online might be different, but I think you're a little off base in live scenarios.
this is completely true....re loading or topping up to max isn't common at all...to them, they are still in the game with part of their buy in......we've all heard how someone was down to 50 and grinded it back to 500 for a winning session in live...
  6. It's kind of a tough spot pre-flop considering how deep we are. Raise/calling is probably okay...though I might tend to raise/4bet/fold depending on what I thought of the player. I think usually once you get to that flop, you need to usually c/f or maybe occasionally c/r. Once you've c/ced the flop, c/ring that turn would be an all-star play since it'd look so strong...and it'd probably force me to fold anything worse than a set. The one difficulty with c/ring the turn is my sizing will make that sizing a bit awkward.
I felt like a donk once I saw ur hand, I felt u played it perfect and extracted max Val. I should fold pre or the flop the very least....
  7. Apparently. =)I suppose pre-flop and turn are fine, but I think you're going to have a tough time making this flop call against me profitable.feral_cow_icon.gifv1.24Converted by a herd of feral cowsHEM/Full Tilt NL Hold'em $0.25/$0.50 - 9 playersBB Steny1: $33.75 UTG slcseas: $152.60 UTG+1 Bleed-Out: $45.75 MP Nuts888A: $69.50 MP2 kugolfer: $69.85 HJ shynepo33: $117.60 CO Hero: $122.60 Button MattyG89: $81.15 SB willnotbetilt: $35.05 Preflop: ($0.75) Hero is CO with :ts: :5c: (9 players)4 folds, shynepo33 raises to $1.50, Hero raises to $5.00, 3 folds, shynepo33 calls $3.50Flop: ($10.75) :qh: :D: :jh: (2 players)shynepo33 checks, Hero bets $6.00, shynepo33 calls $6.00Turn: ($22.75) :D: (2 players)shynepo33 checks, Hero bets $13.00, shynepo33 calls $13.00River: ($48.75) :D: (2 players)shynepo33 checks, Hero checksHero showed :4h: :3h:, shynepo33 showed :club:: :D:, Hero won $46.35
I had a feeling that was you...i'm not really at that level (or even at 25nl level), but i've been trying to clear bonus, and figure higher rush limits would do it...i see that you were multitabling like 4 tables of 50nl rush right? that's crazy to me...i should have folded the flop? or cbet? how would you have played it? i was going to 3bet that turn, and shove river...but i decided against it...it probalby would have worked right?
  8. I def. 3b bigger with the SB in there.I guess I kinda see how the flop is standard as c/r is only folding worse (most likely), and getting called/raised by better (definitely). Did you ever consider c/f? What was your plan when you c/c the flop? A 10 is obviously the best card to come, but would you get paid? The Q (imo) is probably the 2nd best card, and even then I don't know if you can be too happy about it.All that aside, since we're at where we are, I probably just take the passive route and c/c the turn and river. If he checks back the turn, then a b/f on the river seems right (unless you have a really good read). Most players love to check back the turn when they fill up.
If it bricks on the river, and you bet and get raised, do you fold here most of the time? I think this is the biggest leak in my game right now...paying off when i have a really good, but not great hand...i would check the turn, and then bet river, and knowing me, pay off a sizeable raise hoping i'm up against a/k or a bluff...i always get that feeling i get value raised too light/bluff raised online too much
  9. i really think you have to bet fold here, and expect to be good ALOT of the time....most players (in the 1/2 games ive played) would not check when they hit their flush on the end there....especially with you having the betting lead since the flop, i would assume they would expect you to check the river (for example, say first to act has the flush, he will expect it go check, check,check....and u check behind)...unless you're seen as some aggro who will bluff the river against 3 other players....did you check behind and win the pot and started cussing yourself out for not betting?the range you put them on in your post above, decreases drastically when it gets checked to you...unless these 1/2 players u play with are prone to check raising the river with the nuts (or when they think it's the nuts),.or i could just be wrong..my 2cents

  10. Be careful, jumping up in stakes to clear bonus or because you're fed up with the donkish play at micro stakes are both good ways to deplete your bankroll very quickly.
i definitely agree..but i think i'm disciplined enough to know when im outclassed..in a way, i'm just taking a shot really, and if it doesnt work out, 5nl or 10nl will always be there...i only have until the end of july to clear my bonus, it's about 500 left, so i need to get started..
  11. Yea, for some reason online you will see some crazy shit like the 6/7 hand happen. Just don't tilt off when it happens to you. What goes around comes around online. I play the shorter stack tables, so there if they have a big hand they are putting it all-in PF/Flop, so you kinda know where you stand earlier in the hand, but there are alot of calling stations that will call and catch with crap. I just mentally try to keep track off what they have when they showdown and how they played to classify them better. Afer another week or so bump up to the next level. You may have better luck there. I tried playing the 5nl, but stuff like you are seeing drove me nuts. The 25nl has worked out alot better for me. At least there they don't play quite as bad and they know when to fold 8/3 off OOP prelfop to a raise instead of flatting all the time, and then catching on the flop. That shit drives me nuts...
yeah, i'm going to start playing 25nl later this week (all you full tilt 25nl players, start licking your chops...big fish coming..lol)..besides of just getting fed up with not caring about the stakes, i realized that i'm not getting my bonus money cleared...pots rarely reach $1 rake, which i need it to..
  12. Or TT or QQ or even AA.The check-call flop, check-raise turn there is a very strong move and is typical of big hands. On the turn what could he possibly be playing that Hero beats? If you are going to call the turn check-raise, then I call down the river. The only thing that river card changes is Hero now beats QT and 33 is less likely. But 22, TT, QQ, and AA are still just as likely as they were before and Hero loses to all of them.
you must be very familiar with how micro stakes rush poker goes...cause i couldn't fathom how he had qq...or even the next few hands where a diff villian had jj..
  13. what was your plan on the turn? were you planning to bet fold?as to your interest in limping early, before you write someone off for being a total donk notice what they are showing down from these plays, loads of bad players limp to try and keep people in. I mean how aggro where you, if you were the pivot of the table trying to trap you by being passive isnt that bad a play. you got to remember to think to try and read into the play. I mean some just suck and do this for no reason other then they just do, where as some try and do it by trying to (im not saying i agree with it or like it) do it by using some leveling. Stay mindful. but yes most suck, but dont just assume
this was rush, so it wsn't that i was insanely aggressive or anything.....he showed up wiht QQ...QQ!!!!...edit** and no, i never assume a player is bad because he open limps, as bad as it may be...i sometimes do it...but when it's with a big pokcet pair, from ep, and they get an opportunity to re-raise, then i have no choice but to assume they are bad...i dont see the logic at all... (unless they know they are behind as in this case...damn super users...lol)...
You think AA is remotely possible? QQ too? LOLI haven't played poker in a few months, and I haven't played 5nl Rush ever, but I have a very hard time believing that the game has evolved in such a way that AA/QQ are believably played this way. I can count on one finger the number of times I've seen AA limp/call preflop.Because of the bolded, this river is the nuts. When villain bets $1 into $6, it looks like a blocking bet. So if he has a butchered FH, good for him, but I'm charging him the max for when he has QT and some random shit like AQ. If we assign him TT/22/33/QT, and I'm discounting QQ because this is the stupidest ass way anyone could ever play QQ, then we're 56% on the river. I assume he is never folding for when we raise, and I say that's a fair assumption. Give him QQ and we're 47%, but surely if he's capable of playing QQ this retardedly then he can have a hand like AQ sometimes, too, in which case our equity is tremendous. This hand might be different were the cards to develop in another order, like 33T, because an UTG limping donk has some 3s in his range (like A3o/K3s whatever). But no, not here.
He showed up with QQ!! QQ!!! I thought it was either q/10,. or 33/22..and maybe 10...once the 3 pairs up, it feels like the nuts unless it's 22...lol...
