that sounds good too..so...ahem...results? i know there wasn't much thoughtful or helpful discussion except for a few posts...but im damn curious..loldid the girl have air (busted flush draw)?I just call and lose to 7s full, glad that I didn't hit a 4 -
i think you have to call. ...i'd be surprised for her to turn up with a hand that beats you. utg looks like he has a 7 or mid pair, or a busted flush draw ....for her, she either has you crushed, but probably not...maybe ace/7?i suck, so whatever
-
goddamn,..way to go Toronto..even though i know he isn't the BEST poker player in the world (he is up there though), i always root for him....ever since the Freddie Deeb bluff years back..

For heads up, shouldn't you be calling the river on the 2nd hand at least, unless you have some read? Even the 1st hand, i can't bet fold that river unless i know villain never bluff raises the river....I mean, it's heads up...not that i know..

wow, guess i was wrong.....i discounted bluffs cause of his raise size..also, cause the way you played the hand, it didnt seem like you had air..so if we was going to raise, it would be pushing you off a made hand (such as you A/q)...i know u had the top of your range, but even if u held just an ace, or 44-77, you'd probably call his raise right? about a previously made hand into a bluff...he doesn't have much bluffs here though...right? i mean what else would he have that was a made hand into a bluff?I called in the other hand and won. Villain had Q9 for a busted gut-shot.In this AQ one, it was an odd spot. I felt like he could be turning a previously made hand into a bluff. Thought about it for a while and called. He had 22. -
I dont think this is a bluff at all. But I do think that his value range that you lose to that would raise on the river is close to the amount that you beat..does that make sense? Assuming he raises kk,aa,qq, some random hands that have an 8 like 8-9, 8-10 vs 99-jj, kq, aq(chop), 77-44...i could see all these hands raising the river for value (maybe not all)..but even the Ax hands may raise hoping you hold similar and feel they can push you off...anyways, i think it's a call since you're getting over 2 to 1. is this analysis way off?what happened with the other hand before that cobalt?Another day, another Rush reg raising on the river...Your converted hand, now with more cowbell.Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em $0.25/$0.50 - 9 playersUTG: $52.65 UTG+1: $102.90 MP: $35.50 MP2: $50.20 HJ: $131.00 (Hero)CO: $153.20 Button: $152.05 SB: $106.15 BB: $17.85 Preflop: ($0.75) Hero is HJ with (9 players)4 folds, Hero raises to $1.50, CO calls $1.50, 3 foldsFlop: ($3.75) (2 players)Hero bets $2.50, CO calls $2.50Turn: ($8.75) (2 players)Hero bets $6, CO calls $6River: ($20.75) (2 players)Hero bets $15, CO raises to $39, Hero ?We don't have much of a history. I've seen him around but no notes. If timing matters, he pretty much snap-called the flop and turn and deliberated a bit on the river. -
i meant to add yours was more entertaining..sorry that you lost your sense of humor in the "accident"what do I win? -
yours was more helpful..lol..why do they call it a neg-o?F. you beat me by a minute and your reply is waaaayy better. -
I think it's a call if he knows you're a reg... (and if he's a reg too)..if he was some 1-tabling fish like me, then i'd fold..So here's kind of an interesting spot. Villain is probably a somewhat LAG (not maniacal as far as I know) Rush reg from the UK...Feral Cow Poker Hand ConverterFull Tilt No-Limit Hold'em $0.25/$0.50 - 9 playersButton: $25.80 SB: $54.05 BB: $50.00 (Hero)UTG: $54.75 UTG+1: $93.60 MP: $47.10 MP2: $54.65 HJ: $33.35 CO: $16.70 Preflop: ($0.75) Hero is BB with (9 players)7 folds, SB raises to $1.50, Hero calls $1Flop: ($3.00) (2 players)SB bets $2, Hero calls $2Turn: ($7.00) (2 players)SB bets $5, Hero calls $5River: ($17.00) (2 players)SB checks, Hero bets $10, SB raises to $45.55, and is all in, Hero ? -
what is a neg-o? and who is kobe2odom8? rrumsey?

does anyone think the villian does not put hero on nowhere near a hand as strong as trips and thinks a shove will get hero to fold most of his range? results?
-
i felt folding was too weak preflop...even though i narrowed his range to 4 hands, which i only beat 1...a 3 bet and c-bet would have been better...i shouldn't have called the turn, but i was so confused...he checked river when it bricked, i shoved and he tanked forever and folded qq face up...
-
i think u should have led the turn...if mp has a set, wouldn't he normally raise the turn? (i say normally, because i think he showed up with a set here, and that's why you posted the hand - maybe)...but anyways, i think that because if u have aa/kk, you're gonna most likely call a raise(well, most ppl would) instead of folding...his overcall seems so a/j ish that's hoping you have some sort of missed a/k and will foldi'm wondering what he showed up with...

huhLOLhand day today? No wonder you have been running bad. -
Should i be betting the flop/river in this hand? Should i fold turn? Let me know your thoughts....3 bet flop? The preflop raiser is a loose player, but he will not make a big raise preflop without JJ+. I'm pretty familiar with him. he wont even raise that high with a/k. I saw him raise to $25 with two limpers previously with 99, and to $20 with a/k first to act. Pls keep in mind. The bb is a loose player, and pretty straight forward after the flop. I was pretty sure after his turn check he didnt have the ace...but do i take that chance on the flop and bet? also, with the preflop raiser's check on the flop, do i assume he doesnt have an ace and bet? i felt he would check aa and kk here just as much, as well as jj..in fact, i felt like he would check his whole range to be honest..lol..only a/k he'd bet, but i did not feel he had that because of the preflop raise amount... i got so confused, even though this should be simple...i dont like 3betting before the flop because i'm only beating jj....anyways...2 limpers for $5villain raises to $40 ($550 stack)hero calls $40 with QQ (stack is $350 - i know, i should buy the max, but i've been running bad)bb calls $40 ($500 stack)everyone else foldsflop ($132)a 10 3 rainbowchecks all arounddo i bet here? turn 5, no flush draw, all 4 suitsbb checksvillain bets $70hero?

i dont play omaha, but shouldnt u be raising the turn for value? only A9 beats you..in limit, shouldn't u at least raise and check call river if u get 3 bet on the turn?edit*** i meant 3 bet turn and then check call or check fold river if 4 betedit**** actually, it looks fine

????and i dont see how the pro doesnt raise here...he can easily fold to a 4 bet

i think he fires again with his air, especially when i just call...he'll sense weakness and decide that he wants to try and take it away...but it's close...he was very very aggressive...and didnt seem that good either...any K, 10, or made hand gets his money as well when we callso only draws are the one that doesnt benefit from calling.....i think it's close, cause maybe 1/2 the time he doesnt fire with his air...i chose to call..cause i figured he would fire again on the turn even if he had a draw, but he didnt...oh well...

U ever make that topic rrumsey? I'm gonna start my trial this week, and also get hem. I believemlast time I checked it was 30% off with a dc membership , even on trial .i will wait for this from you before i get my 7 day trial...thanks rrumsey in advance -
really? i think he has hard time calling a pot size shove of $230 -$250 on turn with just an open ender (well, what appears to be an open-ender)...my image is not bluffy or loose, though i doubt he was paying attention....then again, i've seen worse calls...but had i played the hand the way i thought i should have played, do you think that would have been the best way to go about it?Honestly, it just looks like one of those "hands"Almost sounds like even had you upped your bet sizing on the flop, he still wasn't folding the turn. -
well, i know he'll call with a j, but against my villian's 99, he definitely would've folded..he was very close to folding (incorrectly i guess) to my check raise on the turn...Reminds me of a 1/2 hand I played in my last vegas trip. Basically same preflop action and flop. I fire nearly a pot sized bet. Turn bricks, I shove for a pot sized bet and he insta calls with QJ. -
why is it a quick muck if we hold Ad?instabets live usually indicate strength, or the opponent perceiving himself to be strong... I agree knowing if you hold the Ad helps this decision bc if you do it's a really quick muck... and noticing that the straight draw got there, it's a muck... the fact that i've yet to see a value bluff live makes me think it's a muck...i mean i'm all for picking off draws with A high, especially the nut no pair... but everything seems to be leaning against you -
lol...no it wasn't...i called flop, instead of shoving...i checked turn, he ckeced behind (after turn bricked)river bricked, and i bet like $75 (stupid bet)..and he folded showing a flush draw...both of them had a flush draw...i felt like i missed out $200 extra from shoving the flop...but i guess in the long run, checking is better since we expect villian to show up with air most of the time...

ok, i'm pretty sure i know what i did wrong in this hand...it was pure bet sizing...i'll basically tell you how the hand played out, and what i think i should have done...i'd appreciate any thoughts...hero is in bb with a/k diamondsutg foldsutg + 1 calls $5 (stack covers, but only slightly)mp foldsmp + 1 calls $5mp + 2 foldshijack foldscutoff foldsbutton foldssb calls $3hero raises to $35 (stack is 330 - no auto top off, sorry)utg + 1 calls $30everyone else foldsflop $8010 J 8 with two diamondshero bets $50 - THIS IS MISTAKE #1 I BELIEVE....i think i should have bet pot or even a bit biggerutg + 1 calls $50turn $1804 offsuithero checks - THIS IS MISTAKE #2...had i bet pot or bigger on the flop, i could shove turn..but now, with about 245 left, for some reason i felt it was a bit of a big over bet, and i thought if i checked, villlain could make a smallish bet of $70-80, and i could shove over it..and collect his turn bet and have good fold equity, and if called, i have decentpot equity...regardless, i still should have shoved utg + 1 bets $120 (didnt expect him to bet that much)hero check raises all in $245 (i feel so screwed at this point...like i can't fold, but i can't just call...so i hope maybe, just maybe he'll fold an underpair or some hand that has a bit more equity than me)..at this point, villain hees and haws..."i have too much invested, i call"..with pocket 9's...river bricks...i set up an awkward pot amount on turn...i'm beginning to see these things that i didnt use to notice at much....what y'all think???

why would chip denomination have anything to do with it?
