  2. 8500 at First Break. Chipping up slowly, don't think I've had a hand better than AJos. play is REALLY weak (as expected).
  3. Maybe its harder to donk off 3000 chips than 1500.

  5. Why not just push the turn?Seeing as your the short stack, I really don't see how you can get away from this hand. I dont know, if I have 10k behind me instead, I probably check the turn instead, fearing two pair, trips (the only think we beat otherwise is maybe TT+ or a draw). I figure with AJ+ he would have raised preflop. I'd probably raise to 2.5/3 BB, and fold to a push PF. We're short, but I'm not sure we're in push or fold mode yet.
  6. Don't mind preflop, I hate the flop call as well. If he's really playing this way with a lot of hands, wait until a made hand to burn him, blinds are only 100/200: you have plenty of time.
  7. yes, sorry for not making it clear in OP.

  13. Can't host. Would be interested though, from Mississauga.
  14. Was he usually limping PF? Sometimes I might try to trap here against an overly aggressive player, but considering the coordinated flop, I probably lead out for about 1200. If you don't think he'd limp with a high pocker pair, I push the turn on any non-dangerous card if he calls the flop. If he pushes back, I probably go broke (again assuming he's been limping into pots frequently and its unlikely he has a high PP here). Although you are on the bubble, the structure of the 45 turbos are so top heavy that if you can get a large stack heading ITM, its really advantageous as opposed to crawling
  15. In the turbos I think you just have to be a bit more aggressive (not more loose, just more aggressive) and be more willing to steal. If you build up a decent stack, you have a really good chance of a top 3 finish just because by the table the FT comes around, its mostly filled with weak-tight players who don't compensate for the blind structure. The blind strucutres go up incredibly quick though, and by the time your down to the final 3 or 4, its pretty much a push or fold AIPF fest unless you have a big stack. As for the difference between 3.40's and 1.20's, not much. I find the 3.40's to a b
  16. Assuming that the payout structure doesn't deviate a whole lot from most online tourneys, I'd lay it down. Your most likely either in a coin flip or way behind. Let the BB take the risk and wait for a better spot.
  17. I would shove the flop. Especially considering how loose he's been, top pair is good most of the time here.
  18. In this situation, I probably check behind since you really have no idea where you are and just try to get to the river as cheaply as possible. Of course this opens him up to bluff pushing on the river with overcards and putting you on a tough decision. I guess the real question is whether you think villain could have called the flop raise with overcards. If not, youre most likely way behind. (For the record, I hate these situations)
  19. I guess a better question than would be where do I draw the line on the edge I need to have to call off my stack early on in one of these things? Right now my ROI is ~70% (probably inflated) in a sample size of about 100.
