  1. Dear players,Duplicate is sadly bidding farewell to its players. Caught in the middle of the global financial situation the company is not able to continue to provide service. We are a small victim of the global financial crisis.Regretfully as of the today, October 5th, 2008 we are closing our service. We thank our players for being with us. Hopefully at later time and in a better economic climate Duplicate Poker will re-appear.Sincerely,The Duplicate Poker TeamCustomercare@duplicatepoker.comDuplicate Poker

  2. Pretty sure your problem can't be solved with the given hardware. You will need some sort of video capture device for the laptop. The USB ports on the DVR don't output video I believe.http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16815306013
Have you or anyone you know tried this?
Replace your DVR with a real Tivo.Re-record the programTransfer it to your PCrecord the program
    Not an option
Buy a video camera.Press play and record at the same time on your TV and video camera, respectively. Upload to your computer./end thread
Wait I have a video camera, it is a Hi8 model though. Said program I want transfered to a digital file is 4 hours and 42 minutes (this might be a problem).
What's the model number of the dvr box? Can you get pictures of all the ports on the unit? Does your laptop have a firewire connection and/or any type of video input? The usb ports on the dvr box will likely not be of use here. The tricky part is getting the file off the box. When you manage to extract the file, you'll have to do some processing on your laptop. More details if you get that far.
It's a Dish 522 DVR Laptop has USB and S-Video inputs.
is there an easy way to get through message in yahoo groups? it sure doesn't seem like it.anyway, i found this guidein their links. looks like you get to take the hdd out of your pvr box.
    What's the HDD?
