Stratosphere are beginner tournaments with a gong-show blind system. There is no play after the first 45mins. Stay away!

Most of the evening all of the major poker sites have been either down, or extremely slow including: Full Tilt, Stars, and Party. Understandably if it was just network problems in one area then just one site would be affected, but since all 3 of the sites I play on are affected (network traces done from across the country); this leads me to believe that there are hackers out there attacking the servers of the major sites on its busiest tournament night. This happened to many sportsbooks several months ago for big events like the superbowl. The russian mafia was supposedly involved, with a proce

Just felt like I had to +1 myself with a post about Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi. This guy straight up owns, 7 big final tables this year, and just took down the 2k event at Mandalay Bay for $114k, if this guy even comes close to keeping up what he's been doing lately, he'll be the next big thing (if he isnt already). Ofcourse he plays in every event, but his results speak for themselves. Ridiculous.I believe he's the best tournament player on the circuit right now, if anyone disagrees let me hear it!Also, he was at a final table a month or so ago at the 1k tourney at the Bellagio and won by

Buy $650 W$ from cashmanbrian.com and it'll cost you $618.$575 doesn't sound a lot better?+1

His rates of 80% for W$ just aren't high enough for me, rather just save them for another day and play it. $575 is a very fair deal.

Just won a double shootout for the WSOP qualifier on Pokerstars this sunday. It's a $615 + $35 and one seat to the WSOP is given for ever $11,000 in the prizepool. I however can't play in it on Sunday and want to sell my W$ for the event.Selling it for $575, so if you were going to play in it anyway this weekend and want to save $75 let me know. - Jimmy

So i was bored this afternoon and saw this $2 tourney on stars about to start in 2 minutes.. so I figured i'd play just for the fun of it. 946 players with 1st taking a whopping $384. A couple hours later id built up a decent stack and was just hangin around average, then a couple more hours later i found myself at the final table with a good shot a taking it down. I've taken down a 400 player mtt before ($30 buyin) but never one this size. Its pretty good for the confidence even though its such an insignifigant amount of money.Heres the flameworthy part, I took some screenshots nearing the en

Hey guys, been down to vegas twice now since ive been 21 and did very well at the 2/5 across the city. Im going to go down for a week (maybe 2) near the end of may just to play the 2/5. Mostly at the Bellagio, but will spread around a bit.I understand all about variance and realize that for me to be up over $1500 in just 20 hours of playing is +variance, I was wondering if you guys could tell me what a good NL player can expect as an avg hourly income off $2/5 NL.Mine is at $75/hr right now but is obviously way higher than the average if I were to play for say 1,000 hours. Is $40/hr too much

well ive been working on a steady bankroll playing the 55+5 turbo sng's on stars for the past little while and have built up a solid bankroll of about 10k. Tonight I was drinking tequila with some buddies, and then drank some more... and I was like wtf i'm good enough to play some big cash games for a night, who cares if its out of my b/r im a good player and should do ok.I step into the 10/20nl and proceed to get my ass handed to me. Got bluffed out a couple times on big pots (by people who dont care about money, the best players) and got sucked out on a few times (who gives a sh*t right?).So

Just took down a 180 person $20 SNG on Stars for a cool $1,080.Only pays $60 for 9th, the rise in payouts is huge. You really need to make like top 5 for it even to be worth it.Anyways I know you all probably don't care but im pretty happy. WOOT!- jimmy stars: compnerdparty: hoodlum09

Hey guys, I turned 21 6 days ago and have already booked my first trip to vegas. Leaving this monday for 3 nights, staying in the 1 bedroom tower suite at the mirage Its 1100 square feet so it should be enough for just me (going by myself - flame away).I want to play low-limit nl cash games, like 1-2 , or 2-5 or whatever they offer. My question is what can you seasoned vegas veterans give me for advice as to good places to play lowlimit nl cash games, good places to eat, maybe some good shows to see? How expensive the hoes are there? (not serious.. most likely) hehe. Any advice/tips you can g
