  1. yeah it's too bad they will lose to the Saints first or get blasted by Indy or the Pats in the Super Bowl. WHO HAVE THEY BEATEN? Answer: ****ing nobody. They lost to Pitt no matter how much you might want to believe you can dominate a game and lose by ten. And they should have lost to Baltimore (a team that is getting ravaged by the AFC). But hey they swept the Lions and the Green Bay sacks allowed. I cant wait to wager against Brett Favre against a good team. The NFL this year is all about haves and have nots and the Vikings have feasted on have nots. Most of the WINNING teams in the NFC are wildly unimpressive.edit: Minnesota's wins: Lions, Lions, Packers, Packers, Browns, Rams, Seahawks, Ravens, 49ers. 4 of those wins came against teams without a pulse! And you could make a case Seattle belongs in the no pulse category too. You could make a case the 49ers are pretty awful since they are 4-6 in the NFC West. So the only quality wins are a home defeat against the ravens where they blew a giant lead and should have lost if not for a FG choke job and a sweep of a tremendously flawed Packers team. Both the Packers and the ravens proved the Vikings secondary can be had.Look at that again. Green Bay is the ONLY TEAM MINNESOTA HAS PLAYED WITH A WINNING RECORD. That's a pretty amazing statistical anomaly. If they can win at Arizona and home against Cincy, then I might start giving that gaudy record a bit more weight.
whoa whoa whoa...i didnt say anything about winning the SB or beating the saints/colts/pats...i was just responding to your comment about the steelers game...i posted the stats...vikings clearly outplayed steelers on their own field(toughest place to play) and the steelers dont get away with that win without the blown calls in the 4th quarter...you cant deny this...i agree with you about them having an easy schedule up to this point...i guess well have a clearer picture once they play @arizona and vs bengals in back to back weeks...if they do win both those games, youre gonna have to admit theyre for real...
  2. <-------Agree. The NFC is a bit of a joke compared to the AFC. The Vikings have played one great team, Pittsburgh, and lost with Brett Favre looking remarkably like the can't avoid killing his team Favre from last December. The Saints might actually be awesome. I don't know. They have not looked very good the last month. Miami, not a powerhouse, made them look awful for a half until Brees came alive (and the officials handed them 14 points! God, I am still ****ing pissed!). But who have they beaten? If they beat the Pats, I am on board their bandwagon. There is a reason 11-5 did not get to the playoffs in the AFC last year. The AFC is brutal at the top. Indy, SD, NE seem to be good year after year after year and the odds are Pitt rights the ship. I think it says so much about the difficulty of the AFC that Baltimore is 5-5. Put them in the NFC and they are at least 7-3.The Colts have earned that 10-0. They are definitely the #1 team in the league right now by accomplishments.
LOL, did you actually watch the game? the vikings dominated the steelers...DOMINATEDsteelers were extremly lucky to get out of there with a win...everything went their way...there were 3 bs calls by the refs in the 4th quarter...1...the "tripping" call that took away a TD from favre that would have given the vikings the lead in the 4th quarter 2...steelers had the ball in the 4th quarter, 3rd and 5 and the refs call "defensive delay of game"? lol, it was so bizzare the announcers had to look it up in the rule book to get an explanation...3...the big catch rice made in the 4th quarter that was called out of bounds (overturned)yet, after all the blown calls, the fluke fumble in the red zone that gave the steelers a TD(10-14 point swing)favre still had the vikings in position to win the game...and if that ball doesent slip out of taylors hand, the vikings win the game...Favre had a descent game and that interception was not his fault...i love how all these haters always refer to favres collapse last year, like its bound to happen again...i guess his collapse last year during the 2nd half of the season had nothing to do with his injury, hes just old and he sucks :-pif the vikings and steelers happen to make the superbowl( doubt steelers can get thru Colts/Pats but you never know), the vikings will DESTROY the steelers on a neutral feild...here are the numbers from the game: vikings on the left and steeleres on the right1st downs... 21 14total plays... 77 50total yards... 386 258passing... 297 152rushing 89 106penalties 11/78 yds 3/15yds :club: turnovers 2 1possesion 36:58 23:02
  3. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Sacramento!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(Go Warriors, too)No way Portland ends up 5th... Even if the Blazers blow their 20pt lead to the Thunder, all it means is the *Nuggets* have nothing to play for in Portland and start 5 stiffs for the final game.. No real biggy. Too bad the Hornets didn't show up against Houston tonight.. sigh...
not sure what you meant by this...if blazers lost today they couldve easily finished 5th with spurs winning their last game vs hornets...and denver hasn't locked the 2 seed yet...rockets can get 2nd with a win in dallas + a nuggets loss to your blazers.(btw, blazers can still get 5th)(if i misread or misunderstood youre post, my bad.)here are 3 scenarios...the 1st one is what im rooting for(as a laker fan) the 2nd one is the one most likely to happen in my opinion..and the 3rd one is the worst scenario for blazers(easily can happen):i wanted to do every single scenario but that would take too long...(div winners in bold)rooting formavs>rockets...hornets>spurs...blazers>nuggets =2...nuggets3...blazers4...rockets5...spursmost likely to happen imomavs>rockets...spurs>hornets...blazers>nuggets=2...nuggets3...spurs4...blazers5...rocketsnightmare for blazersmavs>rockets...spurs>hornets...nuggets>blazers=2...nuggets3...spurs4...rockets5...blazersand if the rockets beat the mavs in scenario 3 you guys still get 5th...spurs would end up 4th...the way the hornets have been playing lately, i dont see them winning in san antonio...basiclly...if you guys dont beat denver, you guys are going to end up 5th imo. (cuz i dont see spurs losing to hornets at home)
  4. care to make a conditional futures bet?Lakers are still favourites to win it all right now. bookies have them at 3 to 5 (pretty sick actually) to take it all.so...IF Lakers play Cavs in finals AND both Kobe/Lebron play all the games in the finals. If any condition isn't met we'll call it a wash.Give me 2.5-to-1 on Cleveland?we could do the same for Blazers but Roy/Lebron and even money odds.let me know
where did you see that line? lakers are +180 on bodog right now and they opened at +215 on greek this morning...what kind of odds would you lay me if i wanted to bet that lakers sweep the cavs in the finals? :club:
  5. Yeah, your ex post facto analysis is spot on. I am going to be on the Jaguars pretty heavy come Sunday. Good luck, though. I've been an auto-fade all year in the NFL, though.
Reverse line movement now....Cliffnotes on this game:Line opens up online @ ten -3 +105Line opens up in vegas @ pkline in vegas suddenly jumps to -2.5 same day77% of people jump on ten -3Reverse line movement to ten -1Vatche can't hedge cuz he's obviously gonna get middledGreek takes the game off the boardVatche gets fukrd out of 500Wang enjoys his EZ money if he can still find jax at +3:Pedit...greeks got the game back up...still at -3 but it changed to +110...i think im gonna hedge even tho ive never hedged before...ive never seen the bookies love 1 side so much.
  6. yeah, that was my impression too. But then, I started looking at some of the statistics, on the betting lines and stuff.. and when like 65-70 percent of people are betting on one side, and the line doesn't move. Something has to be going on. It's not like the bookies don't know which way the bets are going, or anything. They know people really like one side.. but they still aren't moving the line.. There can't be any other explanation than the bookies think they have an edge.
ya, makes total sense... which means im gonna have to suck out to hit my parlay. :club:
  7. i was under the impression that bookies never have a rooting intrest...i thought their sole purpose was to balance the action and suck the juice, and i never believed in "trap lines" or anything like that...after reading this thread i started thinking about it and im having 2nd thoughts now...yesterday, i did a 2 team parlay...lakers -5 1/2 and titans -3....530$ to win 1,550$i told myself, "omg easiest game ever"...i thought lakers were gonna blow them out...turns out i was completely wrong and ended up getting extremely lucky with a back-door cover... i had the exact same thoughts about the titans...and not just me...everyone i know and their mothers are pounding titans...well, the line opened at -3 and its yet to move??? and whats scary is that its not "just -3" its -3 (+105)so all mighty wang, did i get suckered? does jax have good value? whats your opinion on this game?thx

  8. I did have the best hand all in :(Busto 4th after an 1-hour long 4-way battle where the short stacks' all in always won (including A9 > AA). Thanks for the rail and support everyone!Edit: Didn't see the other posts earlier as I had it as outline view somehow. Very good game sennin you played great! Yeah I think we got unlucky a couple of times at crucial times. We'll get them next time :)Hey Vatche where you've been?! Hope all's well!
this is truly crazy...while i was driving home tonight i randomly thought of you out of nowhere...my exact thoughts were "havent talked to seac in a while, wonder what hes up to, hes probably not playing much poker, too busy being a dad"then i bring up FCP and the first thread i see has your name in it.....freeeeeeaaakkkyyyy!!!
  9. Did you see the welts on sara's back - I seriously doubt it
agreed.looks like shes gonna end up teaming up with t bag(shes gonna need t bag cuz hes established himself as pheifer)...t bags gonna want her help to take out michael, and theyre gonna come to some sort of agreement.2 of them are gonna be the wild cards and try to take out everybody in sight.
  10. Anyone enjoying this season as much as me?
its not as good as the 1st 2 seasons, and if there wasnt a writers strike, i have a feeling season 3 wouldve been just as amazing as the 1st 2...still love it tho...even if they find a way to keep this show going for 20 seasons, ill never stop watching...im too much of a fan boy at this point...plus i have a man-crush on mahone. :club:
  11. I like it, but it got off to a bit of a clumsy start, due to the Tancredi thing and the writer's strike, I thought. I was surprised to see Whistler get shitcanned on the first episode, but I was happy to see Gretchen was still alive and is now back in the mix.
ya, i was shocked as well, but i guess they needed to kill off whistler to give t bag a reason/way to be around.
  12. Well I basically missed all of last year so I'm doing a double take at Bellick/Sucre taking time out of their escape so that Sucre can hold his baby. Then Mahone is all buddy/buddy with the Linc/Michael/Tancredi.Now it's like the Magnificent 7 with the addition of the Asian Computer Dude. At least they didn't have T-Bag join the crew.Whatever happened to C-Note? Was he killed off?
nah, he agreed to testify against mahone and in exchange he got his freedom...he's with his wife and kid living hapily ever after...this was end of season 2...you should really do a recap, maybe watch the last 2 episodes of season 2 and all of season 3(only 13 episodes)i cant belive you stopped watching cuz sarah was gone :-p
