  1. Not entirely, he was holding on and if I remember he was next to be voted out each time, but when they merged he won EVERY immunity challenge therefore getting to the final 2.
no, he wasnt "holding on before the merge"...he had a strong alliance with the chef and tina(the eventual winner)....they went to the merge 5 on 5, and back then, if there was a tie in votes, whoever had more votes cast against them total throughout the whole game from the begining would lose the TB...colby had 0 votes going to the merge and he risked his own ass by putting the target on himself...he tricked the other tribe into thinking he had a lot of votes casted against him before the merge...the tribes stayed true, no one flipped, and the other tribe sent 5 votes colby's way...after that, colbys tribe had the numbers up 5-4 and picked off each member of the other tribe one by one...he made to the final 3 with the chef and tina...he won the last immunity challenge, and brought tina with him instead of the chef(who everyone hated)...
  2. Exactly what I wanted to talk about. Colby has to be one of the worst "famous" players. He has sucked in both all stars. He sucked at strategy in his original season, he was just good at challenges. YOU SUCK!Candace was stuck in the middle, but she really chose the wrong side. She could have went with Rupert and Sandra to the final 3, and now Russell is probably going to take her for a ride. She was in a perfect position with people from both sides telling her what was going on, and instead she chose to chase Russell around camp and make it obvious that she was the flipper. She sucks.Props to Danielle for fighting for that clue back. Semi-props to Amanda for stealing it, obviously she should have kept it though. Check your morals at the door.I hope Russell ****s over Parvati in the near future.
i agree that he sucked in the all stars, and so far hes sucking in this one, but he was very strategic during his original season...and he's gonna turn it around in this one and make it to the end, SO YOU SUCK!! :club:
  3. omg i cant believe colby told amanda to give back the clue, it doesnt seem like hes trying...cmon colby, get your act together!and sandra is a helluva player...also, like gallo said, the only reason she didnt vote parv is because she couldnt convince candice to vote parvcandice is just an idot, does she really think russell is going to take her to the final 3, loland i have to agree with everyone on the idol issue, its getting ridiculous.

  4. Yeah, really.I was reading about Lebron's elbow on ESPN.com and this was one of the reader comments, which might be the greatest sentence ever:Lebron wasn't faking fans are stupid was it your arm did you see how bad he missed nobody misses that bad showing offf look twice, and you'll see he rushed it why if he was showing off? I like that lone comma in there.
    lmao
  5. Great episode. Can't believe no one mentioned this yet.Amanda sucks so bad anytime she has to talk. It is her fault, 100%, that Parv didn't play one of the idols on herself. Amanda is so damn wishy washy and couldn't do something as simple as look Parv in the face, with conviction and tell her without a doubt, "The Heroes are all voting for you!"Once she saw Amanda's face, Parv knew she was full of shit and hatched her plan to give them both away. She went with her read and was dead on.Granted, if she plays one and gives the other to Jerri, doesn't matter but if Amanda is convincing, she probably just protects herself and keeps the one Russell doesn't know about still hidden. When Amanda was talking to Parv all I could do was flash back to is the final tribal when she was a bumbling idiot. That being said, I love this show so much. This season has surpassed all expectations imo.
its not that cut and dry, parv telling amanda she has an immunity idol made things a little complicated...she couldnt just...look Parv in the face, with conviction and tell her without a doubt, "The Heroes are all voting for you!"so she was trying to confuse parv by saying "were not voting for you" and by saying "just play it, just play it" amanda is an idiot for thinking that would workediti agree with you, amanda did mess things up...she shouldve told her tribe, "parv told me she has an idol, we cant act like were voting for her" and the heroes couldve come up with a new plan.
  6. i think he's sketchy on other sports but he's pretty good on basketball
this is the same guy that said no team had a chance to beat your cavs last year...:)and now he's tweeting about how ORL at 8 to 1 is a "sucker bet"...thats a GREAT GREAT GREAT price...realisticly, its either going to be lakers, cavs or magic this year, how can he call 8 to 1 a sucker bet...magic were 6 to 1 to beat the cavs in the ECF last year, he called that a sucker bet too...
  7. Bill Simmons had some stat before the year started about guards and how they usually start to crash once they hit the number of games that Kobe's played - he's a warrior but he's got a number of things wrong with him this year - finger, back, kneeThis whole playing for the USA team is so stupid - I'm not willing to trade one good NBA year to win even the olympics - playing 110 games a year and then playing all summer is just stupid
look, i hate BS with a passion...but i have to admit, he is very entertaining...even tho i hate what he has to say most of the time, i take the abuse and read/listen to most of his shit...as far as credibility goes tho, he has Zero...im not trying to hate, but the guy says some stupid things sometimes...so his stats/formulas, observations or whatever else he comes up with doesnt mean anything to me.
  8. I think he will still play at a high level, but not at his usual high level, which is what he would need to do to be better than Lebron, who is still on the way up.I'm not anti-Kobe; I love Kobe.MVP Odds as of December 18, 2009Carmelo was the favorite, followed by Lebron, then Kobe/Howard.You bet a lot on sports, right? Can you look up MVP odds as of certain dates on other sites?
i havent come across a site that has that kind of info, that would be sweet...on the site i use(theGreek), Lebron opened at +285 and kobe at +300 if i'm remembering corectly, and carmelo was around +500...theGreek only had this bet up for a few weeks, then they took it away...i highly doubt carmelo opened up as the favorite on that site mentioned in the article you linked....the article is written in December...kobe and carmelo came out of the gates fast, so maybe a denver fan or a random gambler started betting on carmelo on that site... with futures like this, all it takes is one degerate idiot to drive down the price drasticlly...so i wouldnt take that +175 price on melo too seriously.example...brazil opened at +550 to win the world cup on theGreek...this bet has a 500$ max per day unless the price changes(for the moment)...so i bet 500 at +550 on brazil, refresh price changed to +500, then bet another 500 at +500, refresh and price changed to +450, bet another 500 at +450 refresh and price dropped to +350...this was months ago and the price is still +350 on theGreek, but Brazil is still +500 on the other sites...
  9. You must live in LA.Lebron was player of the month every month this year until March when he missed some games.
heh, born and raised/lived in LA my whole life :Pthat doesnt change the fact that kobe was #1 on the MVP watch before he broke his finger :)lebrons had a hell of a year, and i'm not saying kobe wouldve won mvp if he didn't break his finger...i was jsut using that tid bit to say that i dont think he's on the downside of his career...hopefully he gets healthy this summer and he will show the world that he's no where near the downside of his career...he still has 5 years at a high level IMOEDIT...How much am I going to have to transfer to your Stars account to get you to stop talking like BS...I'm about to puke all over my monitor. :club:
  10. Nah, Kobe is on the downside of his career. He'll start to defer more in the regular season in order to save himself for the playoffs.
FYI, kobe was the scoring leader and #1 on everyone's MVP watch before he broke his finger...him playing hurt doesnt mean he's on the downside of his career...we will never know how lebron will do with a broken finger and a shitload of tape on the finger of his shooting hand or any other kind of significant injury because he wont play in that kind of condition...he's too concerned about his stats and his image...i"m not saying kobe is not concerned with stats and his image as well, im just saying that his stats suffering or looking like "he's on the downside of his career" isn't enough to keep him sidelined...
  11. http://www.cbs.com/primetime/survivor/vide...e&play=trueTyson says it was a very close call to making the decision and didn't know what he was doing until the walk to tribal, credits Russell on a bold play. Also, Jerri notes in her vote for Parv two weeks ago that Parvati came to her offering connections on the other side. Russell and Parv tried their best, I think this Tyson thing was the last shot, a hail mary, and it worked. Not dumb luck, not 100%, but still really awesome. http://www.cbs.com/primetime/survivor/vide...e&play=trueRussell explains why he gives idol to Parv
intresting thing about russells video is its shot before tribal council, and he doesnt seem worried at all...he's talking to the camera like there's 2 options, either he gives the idol to parv and saves her and keeps his numbers strong, or he keeps the idol for himself and "parv goes home"...the 3rd option of him going home is not mentioned...after watching that video, i feel more confident that he thought all 6 votes were going to parv...if he was planning on taking a huuuge risk on a crazy play like you guys think he did, wouldnt he be panicked or worried? wouldnt he mention the likely possibility of going home? maybe he does but they chose not to show us that, i dont know, but he just seems so calm and comfrtable in that video, like the possibility of him going home in the T.C. comming up doesnt exist...
  12. Why would he single out Tyson? He just wouldn't. He didn't have any reason not to go to other alliance members and plant the same seed he planted in Tyson's head. There's so much that goes on that we aren't privy too. It's possible Russell overheard the split voting plan and knew who was going to vote for whom. Then he targeted the players voting for himself to try and get them to change the vote. Who knows. I'm not saying this happened but the episode played really well with what the producers decided to show us. Don't forget, they can edit and tell a completely different story than what actually happens pretty easily. This is hardly 'reality' tv but instead an unscripted drama with parameters and a hard outline. Giving immunity to Parviti was a calculated gambool that shows how in tune he is with the other players. After pulling off this miracle of sorts, flipping Jerri and getting rid of Rob is just superb play.
or , Giving immunity to Parviti was a calculated gambool that showed how off his assesment of the situatuion was... :club:
