500 raked hands before you can take it out. I guess that's ok. I have a hard time getting my head around how they make mo ney giving so much of it away.

Why do these threads have to fill up with up with such nonsense. I would appreciate some moderation at fcp. What could be a great forum is full with so much crap. I also see that some people misunderstand proxies. Has anyone tested external proxies? Oh, and MAC addresses in IP packets are specific to the computer nic card, not the router. If they blocked router MAC addressses, they'd pretty much only get a dozen customers or so. I'm wondering if anyone has played from a university LAN or similar. Are you also blocked from playing the same table in that environment? (And I would apprecia

none of the cheaters mentioned proxies yet

posoo,You are trying to make an appeal to children. Some of them may be able to vote legally, but their behaviour is clearly that of kids in an unmoderated playground. Until the principal comes and hauls them into the office, I wouldn't expect them to change. You might recall the old saying about teaching a pig to sing. Never try it. It wastes your time, and annoys the pig.

It's disgusting to you? This is poker. Maybe the golf channel has something more to your liking.

is having only 1 name at the final of the main event
jill_idle replied to Barry @ Gutshot's topic in General Poker Forum
The viewing audience would actually prefer an unknown win it all. They want to imagine seeing themselves in there. They want to imagine that they too could go up against a name, and beat him. So we do need some names at that final table. Only 1 is disappointing. Actually, he doesn't even count as most people don't really know him. But to see a table full of unknowns, knowing the 'pros' were already busted out, ain't so bad. The viewing public will still get what they want. The underdog wins! -
Raymer has really maximized his 90% luck
jill_idle replied to edingerlaw's topic in General Poker Forum
You guys are trying to quantify a subjective experience, and apply it as a general rule. Good 'luck' with that. The percentage of luck vs. skill required to win will be different for every tournament. It will depend on the number of skilled players entered vs. the number of unskilled players. Even with that, the relative skill level of each player is also an important variable, and will change from tournament to tournament. You need to have a skill coefficient on each player, and I'm not quite certain how you would determine that. Then you need to multiply the average of the coefficient -
yeah, well, mine's bigger, and I'm not even a guy

He didn't plagarize anything. He never represented it as his own. And I'm left to assume he doesn't know the source based on what he said.

He's not so much a match to the sesame street count in my opinion. Plus, Count Chocula is a funnier count anyway. Perhaps the sesame count is a cousin or something ..If I was Barry, I would get a t-shirt made that says "I am NOT Count Chocula" and wear to the wsop. I wish I resembled a cartoon cereal character. Did Jessica Rabbit ever endorse breakfast food?

If you want to comment about someone's play, it's completely reasonalbe if done in a reasonable way. Commenting about their appearance in a negative way shows little class. Associating the negative aspects of appearance as a reason whya player would 'suck' is downright stupid. In this pseudo democracy, people are more or less free to speak up and show the world just much of an idiot they might be. I choose to not pay much attention to them. But that Count Chocula thing is funny! I choose to say it with affection, like calling someone who is hairy a 'wookie' using sexy sultry tones. So com

You would be wrong... the correct play in this instance (paired flush draw) is to get as much money in the middle as possible ON THE FLOP. As long as you don't put him on a set... more than likely, he is gonna have top pair, strong kicker here, which is fine, because on the flop, you have the lead with 14 outs. You will win in the long run by being very aggressive w/ strong draws like this one. Not only that, but you have fold equity, which adds to your equity. Well played, and good luck.edit: w/ large stacks, I would say you should just raise a substantial amount... (the pot), and check

I would have checked, and called a reasonable bet. If I haven't made a good hand, I tend towards being a little more patient. If the fairly tight villain keeps upping the bet on the turn and the river, and I haven't made my flush, I'm outta there! Bottom pair against this villain as you describe him is a losing scenario in my opinion. If I made the flush on the flop, or turn, well I'm not telling you what I would do in that case. Lest we play each other!
