my first trip to vegas and where to find hold-em
Dick Danger replied to compuease's topic in General Poker Forum
The Orleans is my first stop every trip. -
You'll get a high only flop about 25% of the time. I want to see the flop on the cheap with that kind of hand.

Actually the O&A show can be entertaining, and you did seem to be laughing along while Rogan was making an ass of himself. The main problem are these whack bag douches that think O&A give a rat about anything they think. -

question regarding post flop raise
Dick Danger replied to JaysonWeber's topic in Other Poker Cash Games
What if he was holding A2QQ? -
First off, there is no way in hell that you'll ever see me at a $200+15 SNG. But I used to think that I was a pretty good SNG player. That is until I started to keep records. Looking back at my last 1000 10+1 SNGs I was ITM 43% of the time. I was 1st in 198, 2nd in 29, and 3rd in 203, ugh. So my 11k turned into $14830, not too good if you ask me. Even if I really really really tried to get better at SNGs I don't think that I'd ever get to 65%. I've pretty much given up on SNGs. Now I spend most of my time in Omaha 8/B ring games and I'm doing much better. I'm not saying that making money is im

any good limit omaha hi/lo players here?
Dick Danger replied to strategy's topic in Other Poker Cash Games
If I have a good hi only hand that can see the flop for 2 bets or less I'll do it (I'm not playing pot limit yet). My math might be a bit off but I think you'll see a hi only flop about 25% of the time. And with a 2 card hi flop lots fo low only hands will pay off chasing a low. Drawing to the 2nd best hand can also cost you a lot. -
Seems like you're just bitter about your station in life.

4/8 at The Orleans is the smallest 8/b I've found.

So 10/20 is the smallest game that one could live on? -
How far do you guys go when you hold A2xx and there is only one low card on the flop? If I don't have a flush draw or anything else going I'm usually inclided to fold here. Any thoughts, insights, or insults?

The only thing that I don't like about The Orleans tournaments is the 15 minute rounds, other than that it's a great place to play.

Book Review: Play Like the Pros
Dick Danger replied to DanielNegreanu's topic in General Poker Forum
Today I tried playing nothing but his top ten hands, I played three hands in five hours at the table. I lost all three. -
4/8-10/20 depending on the players, online I stick with $20-$50 SnGs.

No such thing as random.BTW picture an overweight guy in a speedo with a newpaper wrapped around his (so he'd look like he was deep) yelling that at the top of his lungs to pound that into your brain.

Sunday I played at the Bellagio and I was trying to play as well as I could but I still lost $700 before the sun went down. I thought about what I was doing and I just felt like I was in over my head at that table. I did suffer a couple of bad beats but I still felt like I was getting out played. After dinner at the Circus Circus Steakhouse I sat down at there and decided to play (about 10pm Sunday night). First off they have the crappiest chairs known to man, bringing your own seat cushion would not be a bad idea. The table was full of people that had very little poker experience. The first
