Agreed here...I was thinking along the lines of cash games where reloading is possible. Bluffing in tournaments is MUCH more difficult to do online.
-
I feel the biggest transition between online and live seems to be thinking everything through...in other words...SLOW DOWN.I mean EVERYTHING. There is no need to rush like in online...don't get the clock called on you everytime...but take it easy and let the action come to you. Some things I started to do:--Calculate the pot when the action gets to you, not before. --Preflop, don't look at your cards until the pot gets to you.--As always, when you bluff, don't do it just to bluff...and unless the table is exactly right...bluff about a third as much as you would online.--Don't be so afraid to

I remember one time I got Pocket 5s twice in a row then Pocket 8s the next...and hit a set on the flop 3 times in a row. That must have been pretty odd.

Once again, DN openly states "I just spent 50k to see if I'm playing good" I think it was pretty obvious he was beat, I was wondering how he made such a freakishly good read.
-
Sorry, I should clarify...I know DN knew he didn't have the best hand...I was just trying to understand his read. How he verbally called out that Sexton had KK. And thank you for your help with the hand action. So I guess my read would have been A-5

going off of memory...i saw it two days ago.DN-- Q 2Sexton - KKI know DN flopped bottom pair with all low cards...2-6-7 maybe?? I don't remember the turn, but I know the river paired the board.By now I am having a hard time remembering the action besides the post flop bets which were:Flop: DN bets little more then half the pot...Sexton callsTurn: Both checkRiver: DN bets 25k...Sexton raises to 75kDN looks at him funny, then says "What do you have Kings?" but pays him off just to see them. I just looked on Cardplayer and didn't see the hand in the Live Updates so if anyone can help me rememb

I agree with Try...flat call is good because of the amount of chips both of you have. By flat calling it would look like a KQ or Pocket Pairish hand, so if the A or K hits your implied odds would probably go up depending on what he has.On the other hand, if you still needed some info on the guy...seeing how he reacts to raises and whatnot...there probably wouldn't be a better time then now considering your stack size and level. But no...I don't think folding was correct in this situation

I'm sure most everyone on here has seen the TOC event by now. Now I know Daniel is great, and I would call myself a pretty experienced player with a little better-then-intermediate knowledge (we can make that a word right?) of the game, and I have wrapped my brain around it for a couple days and still can't see how he called that hand. If I was in that spot, I would have been lost because Sexton played it sooo unorthadoxed. Granted we didn't see every hand, but even Matusow had no idea what he had. (Again showing why he isn't nearly as good as DN) If I HAD to guess it would have been the A

What Do The Following Players Have In Common?

I've only had sex with four of you. -
I personally don't think it's that bad of a play, even in some lower limits...you'll find people who kind of know what they are doing, and will be able to fold...if you can pinpoint these people then I'll sometimes go for it. With that said, and in this instance, it was evident after the flop...let alone the turn...that he wasnt too scared of the nut flush, I would of given up on the betting after the flop and if he pushed, just waited for another spot knowing he will be willing to call when you really do have the goods

Okay, so I've been getting into Omaha for the last six months or so, and have what I would call intermediate knowledge of the game. I pretty much dabble in the lower stakes on-line in Pot-Limit Cash games. The last couple times I have played with a guy who would raise preflop everytime, but was a decent player post-flop. By continously raising, he would get most of the table on tilt because of their inexperience, and seriously cleaned up all three sessions I saw. We've all played these guys in Holdem, but I had never really dealt with it in hold 'em. I guess what I am wondering is how mor
