  3. hey, can anyone help me with this? I'm thinking about buying a laptop for college, but i cant find one that will run two seperate monitors. I'm looking for a decent laptop that can run two monitors at 1600x1200 res. So far all I can find are at least $2000, which is a bit too expensive. Does anyone know what I should be looking at?
  4. I folded and he asked "AQ any good" . I didn't think people played that bad. I obviously have a lot to learn about NL cash. I'm glad I found this huge leak early because I have made quite a few tight folds recently, which I now regret.

  7. HiiiiHas anyone played at the Indian Casinos around San Diego? Me and my friend are planning our first casino trip next weekend (awww cute). Anyone know of casinos around the area that have:a) reasonable rakeB) low stakes- probably all of them right?c) might not check my ID
  8. Thank you kindly, sir. it worked.
  9. How do I do it? I live in the US obv.
  10. Silly how? We are still ending up all in against any hand that beats us, but there's a slightly greater chance a hand like 88 or 99 will put us all in. Or if the opponent is exceptionally passive we may be lucky enough that he flat calls us with a weak ace and we can check down to the river (Thus keeping us alive in the tournament).
  11. Dude, that was not a "great read" it was a lucky read. I'm sorry to bring your fantasy to an abrupt halt, but you probably are not as good as you think you are. There are many hands he might have here and one of those is a draw. Against that you are ahead. Against everything else you are way behind. You played this hand horribly. You were lucky that all your chips went in as a 60% favorite, rather than drawing dead with a 7% chance to tie.
  12. I disagree. We are not going to fold better hands by pushing the flop, but we are more likely to get action from a weaker pp if we bet about half the pot on the flop. The end result: If we bet half the pot we still get all in trailing the same range of hands, but by betting half the pot we have a greater (albeit still very small) chance of getting all in against a weaker hand.
  13. this is really difficult. I'm inclined to risk letting him catch up for the sole reason that if we make a continuation bet of even as small as half the pot we really can't fold to a push (getting like 6-1 and the possibility he has a lower pp). Then again, rethinking it, there's a decent chance he will throw out a bluff on the turn if we check behind so I really don't know. Actually I changed my mind. Let's bet about half the pot on the flop and make a crying call if he pushes.
  14. Minimal read on the opponent. All I know is that he hasn't done anything crazy or out of the ordinary in the 8 hands we've played and he seems slightly passive.Oh yeah, and what converter should I use for absolute? 15. People offering free steak, but it turns out just to be a spelling error.
  16. FPS. Reraise to 3000 preflop. No need to make deceptive plays at this level.
  17. I don't see a decent player donking up AA or KK like this preflop. The hand doesn't make much sense when we assume he's a pretty decent player. I am always hesitant to put any sort of extra read on someone just because he seems to be tight aggressive. It's a horrendous fold given the pot odds. Yes, I do think we see might this play with a weaker hand like TT more in tournaments than cash, but I would still call in a cash game if I didn't have a really really good read. My brain's turning to jello discussing this hand ad nauseum (sp). Everyone has said that you should call, except for one
  18. You would have to be a complete donkey to fold the river. You only have to be ahead 13% of the time. You're giving him way too much credit if you think he has trips or better almost 90% of the time.
  19. It would be extremely weak tight to fold TT on this flop, and I would expect very few players at any level to make that fold. Based on your read he is tight agressive. What range does that put him on preflop? My guess is Ak, AQ, JJ, TT, maybe 99 and lower pocket pairs. I don't expect him to call with AJ. He has shown very little strength and a bet of 1500 is very weak. I don't think he has anything more than a pair because he would have bet more with a hand he was really confident about. I think he most likely has TT and is throwing out a blocking bet. Honestly, I think you are ahead
  20. He only has to be ahead 1/6 times to make a call correct. Villain could easilly be making a blocking bet with TT, 99 or 88. Unless Scott has played thousands of hands with this guy it doesn't even approach being read dependent. It's a mathematical insta-call.
  21. That fold is disgusting.
