I still think it was one of his best BLOG's it was fun to read. I bet the guy DN lost some money too was not complaining at all. Also If I was sitting there with only $200-$500 dollars I would love a guy raising the pot like that. That would teach those damn limpers to stay away from there A Rag Off-Suit and keep them from playing 2 cards just because they have a name..."But it’s called the Flat Tire, I had to play it.Also, it will help me get paid off on my really good hands and teach me to play solid poker. I know DN could break me in a straight up game, but playing like he was I know my mone

that was a very good post on this subject.I appreciate a dealer that can come out and say it like it should be and not say how much of a cheap ass you are if you don't tip.I don't like tipping a crap dealer and I usually wont, but if I like the attitude and energy of the dealer then I am more than happy to tip after each pot I take down and maybe kick them something extra at the end of there session.

whats the skill to luck ratio in poker??
THIR13EN replied to THIR13EN's topic in General Poker Forum
When you say there are names at the top every week. It’s because these guys play every week. You think the same amateurs play every week and as many tournaments as the pro's? The amateur players do not have the money or the backers to play in every tournament, like the pro's do.You think there are some guys who have been playing in the WSOP for the last 20+ yrs and we have never heard of them? Are they just are not skilled enough to win 1 or make a final table? There really is no other game in the world were the "lesser skilled" player can beat a "higher "skilled" player. Only games that this -
was the wpt the downfall of gus hansen

I think he likes the image the WPT has given him. I read or seen somewhere he said he likes that people thinks he capable of making the same raise with 72o or pocket aces. DN even said that its a scary image to have at a table, a guy that will call your raise with basically anything, also that he's capable of raising, or even re-raise you with anything. -

whats the skill to luck ratio in poker??
THIR13EN replied to THIR13EN's topic in General Poker Forum
It is not 100% skill and that's for sure. If this game is 100% skill then how come lesser players can beat a more skilled player? You won't see that in basket ball, an amateur unskilled player will not beat the highest skilled players. In Poker an amateur could get lucky and beat out a pro. So my point is; there is luck involved, I am just wondering what is the ratio. -

Do any of you think that if someone was fronting your entry fees and you played in tons of tournaments that you could make a final table once or twice? -
whats the skill to luck ratio in poker??
THIR13EN replied to THIR13EN's topic in General Poker Forum
WHY....?So is Joseph Hachem the most skilled player in the world right now? -
In your own opinion and backed with some good points. What is the skill to luck ratio in poker? Is it all skill and no luck? Is there only luck in Tournaments? Is it all 50/50? Do cash games take more skill or luck? If you were playing in tons of tournaments a year like the "pros" would you be able to make some final tables too?

Chasing a gut shot is a bad idea. If you do decide to chase, make sure it’s the highest possible straight. Also make sure that there is not a flush, full house, or even a four of a kind on the board. Because if someone is drawing for a Flush, that takes away one of your outs. If there is a pair on the board, then you could be drawing completly dead. Also you can chase if it is checked or a very small bet is made into a large pot. Mainly, you should only chase if you think you can break the guy if it hits.

I liked him, Even though he had a big mouth and talked some crap. I thought he was still able to show respect for another player. When Jennifer Harman made a good call he knocked the table and showed her respect. I thought his little all-in move was pretty stupid, but that’s all it takes is one bad move.

Has anyone read the article in ALL IN magazine, with Phil Hellmuth? He seemed to have great amount of respect for DN.The reason I post this is to find out if anyone reads the poker magazines and to hear what people thought about Phil Hellmuth after finding out that he respects the guy most of us admire.

which one would you pick????daniel n. or shana??????
THIR13EN replied to teneight's topic in General Poker Forum
You can buy pu$$y like Shana any time you want but a weekend with DN and friends would be priceless. And stop insulting gays. You can buy time with DN; did you forget about his poker challenge? Just because you can buy a real cubic zirconium and act like it’s a diamond, does not mean it’s a diamond. So maybe you can buy some quality pu$$y, does not mean that you are getting Shana pu$$y.I agree with him, whoever doesn't pick Shana is a gay. It is not insulting to call it like it is. -
I think there is more to it than that. You need a table image one that says you dont give a "F". You need a mullet or even a realistic wig will do. You must drive a camaro/trans am. Stay on micro limits and whenever someone raises your blind say something like "Oh this guy is working hard for the money" and every time someone verbally says check, say check out these guns, then begin to flex. Also change up your play, start folding pocket AA to a raise (which really people on this site suggest??), stop putting players on hands, you must play any hand that has a nickname and call it out when you
