The LAM are just that, they hate to be raised and will move all in. the ST players don't really scare me all that much, There are actually less of them. The CM are just players looking for runner, runner and they love there flush draws, but will call down with Ace high. I would say at a table of ten (there will be 2-3 tables) there will be 4-5 LAM and 3-4 CM 1-2 ST and I. I do really well in are normal 1 table with just 1 or 2 extreme personality type players, but this will take some skilled gear changing and at the right time.
There is a big home game tourney this Saturday. I have a few strategies I would like to hear from everyone. Let me give you a break down of the players. LOOSE AGRESSIVE MANICS, CALLING MACHINES, and SUPER TIGHT. A few actually have credible poker playing abilities, but the majority fall into one of the three descriptions above, minus the ability. I just want to know the best strategies for playing against these three main types of players. The ST player does not intimidate me, but I don't want to have one on my right and a CM on my left and on his left a LAM. That will leave me on the short e
Really, I do not think these people are fish. It is smart to bet big like that so when a fishy finally bites with his big AJs, the better will be in position to take a larger pot off the fishy when the board comes out ragged. Now, true you can sit back and wait for aces (which no one will pay you off for) or start getting in there and playing back at them with raises or start calling them with your less than premium hands. It will seem like you have your big AJs, but you have 47s. So really, you get to play two hands. When the flop shows big cards bet into his bluff, when the board hits your s
This topic reminds me of the conversation they had on reservoir dogs, no not the one about Madonna song live a virgin, but the one about tipping the waitress. I have to say, he has some very good points on why not to tip. I really hate tipping everyone in the casino. Come on, this place is worth more than small countries and I am helping them grow larger. I have to tip min of a $1 to everyone I come in contact with. I order a sip of coke $1, I want another $1, I win a pot that I risked $20-$50 dollars BOOM $1-$5. I think tips need to be reserved to the employees that go beyond what they ar

What is everyone's thoughts on tipping the dealer after every pot won. I do tip the dealer after every pot I win, but I dont get irate if someone else does not tip. I just wonder how this trend came about? Do dealers actually get offended if they dont get a tip? Really they played a little role in that players big win. I also think that if you tip the dealer when he deals you a good hand, that you can curse at him when you lose a big pot. (I figure take the good with the bad or dont get anything at all.) LET ME KNOW WHAT EVERYONE ELSE THINKS, I ALSO WOULD LIKE TO HEAR FROM DEALERS.
