Thanks for the help guys. Yeah the first hand is I guess standard-ish... just running bad and want to look for some leaks. I ended up folding (which is the correct play based on how I played it) But it seems like the button could be raising to eliminate me.... and calling one bet it would be worth it but not two.... The second hand. We had two thoughts....1) call and see what develops... This seems bad calling when no closing the action on a gutshot (4 outs). so what you're saying is my 100BB downturn might not be because I somehow got hit over the head with a shovel and forgot how to play poker..... in a related note.... not sure if anyone else has found this.... (might be short term results).... but still....my full ring games have improved.... I think mostly stealing more and defending more but also amping up the aggression factor....

What kind of swings can someone expect playing say.... 4, 6max tables... are we talking 50+ BB swings or 100+ swings?

why call the turn if you're only drawing to three outs? at best you have 4 outs... so you're getting 8-1 on a 10-1 call? no? i probably call turn fold river too but wouldn't the other be smarter?

I agree to lead the flop. But say it's called MP2. Do we lead the turn? how about the river? I guess i'm trying to figure out when to let a hand go..... ie: check and fold. c/c?

I'd say check behind I don't think it's worth getting C/R cause then the pots too large to fold. Any reads? VPIP% or PFR%?

Are we raising the flop to eliminate the button and possible get a free card on the turn? or is this for value? maybe i'm missing something.... I would have folded pre-flop.... is this a big leak or just because i'm not as comfortable post-flop yet...

Cypher,The information above is useful in terms of poker skillz..... But the best way to build a BR at that level is through bonuses.... Going to sites where you play a certain amount of raked hands and you get a bonus is very very EV.Microlimits.... say .25/.50 ... say you have to play 1000 hands for the bonus of 100 bucks... Let's also assume you're running well and beating the game for 10BB/100 hands.... that means you've made .50*10*10 = 50 bucks in the last 1000 hands.... but with your bonus you've made 150 bucks... BOOM. Find some more sites... rinse, repeat ......soon you

I'd like to see more stuff then just 'hats', t-shirts and books..... take a look at the competitors stores.... PP and Pokerstars.... sure it takes forever to receive it but hey...... look at what you're getting... bikes, coffee makers, tv's, books, tshirts.... Selection selection selection.....

I don't mind the call pre-flop because nobody assume you have a A when playing shorthanded and you just call.... passive I know but seems like you get paid off more. c/r flop and lead the turn (like everyone else said). I wouldn't fold the turn that's a for shizzle. With it shorthanded you VERY often have the best hand here.... not to base this on results but I'm assuming you're posting it because someone won with less then 2 pair.... that's my guess.

I'm definetly calling here (while closing the action) but I was thinking if you're calling then why aren't you raising... Cause then maybe you get to see a free river card. That's basically where I was coming from. I'm trying to sort out my leaks though....

Alright. so basically I'm overplaying my overcards and gutshot/bd flush draw. I think postflopfbg summed up the outs pretty well. Although, if you did bet and get raise it's a simple fold but you may pick the pot up right here (not likely though). What about if the board is changed to be a little less coordinated....say the 2c instead of the 9c. Then you're overcards have more value correct? Sillyps. I'm gonna leave work early to go read the overcards section of SSHE before I play tonight. Actually I just wanna leave work early.
