Plus, if your a good defensive defenceman on a team that always matches lines, you will have a low +-. If you line up against Ovechkin, Crosby etc, and always play with your own teams 3rd line, you will have a low +- even when you are doing a good job.

I feel that the Canadiens should have tried to get someone with a different style of play than Poulliot. Even if he turns his career around, he plays a similar skilled/soft style that the rest of the Habs top 6 play.
