anyone like donk-betting the river?EDIT: NM, didnt notice the board double paired with the flops TP.
-
Yes, call the raise instead of 3-betting, and then raise the turn instead. No, keep posting.
-
Yes. You are almost always ahead here. If the A hits, and he has one, your getting paid off anyways. But if he doesnt have an A, and one hits the board, hes going to fold to your c/r. So get some of his money in the pot now while you are likely ahead.

I dont like a raise/fold to a 3-bet, because he will fold to your raise without a heart, then you miss a bet that you would have gained by just calling down. Fold to the turn bet, or call down. Call down IMO.

You limp AK/AQ from UTG??incredibly weak.
-
Preflop - depending on the villain, I may have raised, checking is ok too though.Flop - Lead, 3-bet if raised, call a cap.Turn - Lead again, call if raisedRiver - Lead if you still have the lead in the hand, obviously 3-bet if raised. c/r if you gave the lead away on the turn.***reading replies***I suppose I could have just quoted Zach here, it would have been faster, for me. And his advice was written much better, im not very good with words, lol.nh.

I like checking the flop, if SB folds(like he did), raise the continuation bet.
-
3-bet preflop. The action for the rest of the hand changes. As played, I don't like the turn c/r.
-
Preflop - Im not sure, I think its closeFlop - I like a c/r for valueTurn - I like itRiver - I leadnh.
-
I definately raise/call the turn.

I do have to agree with Zach here, I've played with Actuary once or twice, and I feel like ive learned more there then at a strat table.
-
Well, obviously the flop 3-bet isn't standard, so you thought you could make a play at the pot. So I can't argue you for that, as it depends on the opponent and nobody here knows the opponent. But, once he calls the turn, you know hes coming to showdown, so why bet the river?

Is raising 77 UTG standard? -
Sometimes I Just Don't Know

I don't play no-limit, i just lurk here once in a while trying to learn the game, but the villain is representing the TJ straight here. I don't see what he is betting the flop, and c/r the turn with that you beat. Again, the stack sizes are important here, but without really good odds, I dont see us beating anything. I'd fold, but again, take my advice with a grain of salt, as im just a limit player trying to learn NL. -
Whats the difference these days on party, the games are freakin rock gardens.

Why would you ever call in this spot? We are very vulnerable, why not protect with a raise?
-
I call it down personally.
-
Your right, but your not good here 1 in 13, unfortunately. lol.
-
I dont like raise/fold, by raising the only thing thats going to happen, is you will fold any of his hands without a heart. So, im torn between calling this down, or finding a better spot and just folding it on the turn. I think I call this down against an unknown.
-
You think im better off folding on the flop Abba?I had a BDFD, so does that swing this from a fold to a raise?
-
Yea, I read his book when I first began playing, what a waste of time that piece of trash was. He plays waaayy too tight.

mid offsuit broadways are the biggest money makers in holdem..........When your opponents play them.
-
flat calling here is weak. raise for value.
