  1. He hits players below the belt a lot, helped by ESPN editing.
  2. He's not with pokerstars. He won the attire from Gavin Smith because he never loses a pot.
  3. Got me too. He got me with the drunk one. ...hey, do you think I've been getting bluffed out of a lot of pots?
  4. Hey, the cub costume seems to be working for him. He's having his first decent event of the wsop. He should ask Gavin if he can just wear that throughout. ...imagine if he and the Bear end up at the same table. Greenstein will be so ashamed it will be priceless.
  5. yeah, it's just the sheer size of the field. Each day is as big as the 2004 series in total.
  6. I like Calgary in the west. Adding Tanguay is really going to improve them and I think Kipper erased all doubt about how good he is last year. I think the team that's going to slide the most is Detroit. Losing Yzerman and Shanahan is going to do a lot of damage, especially come playoff time, where for the last several seasons they've only been able to go as far as Yzerman can carry them. I don't think they'll finish at the top of their division unless Zetterberg supplies that emotional edge they lose when Yzerman's gone. Datsyuk's great for offense, but I don't ever see him as a "heart and
  7. Vaswani and Dags on Full Tilt 1000/2000 right now.
  8. It's not bleeding your chips away. It turns a big stack into a very big stack and puts you in position to win the tournament. You just have to make sure you're attacking the right players, and when you are, you only have to risk the minimum to steal from them, because they know if they see a flop you're betting the rest of their chips. So their choice becomes fold or all-in. The vast majority of the time, they fold. And if they've seen you call someone down with junk, they're even more likely to fold. It's been successful for me. Usually, you're never more than a 2-1 dog, and if I've go
  9. Madsen's building a big stack already. If the kid didn't play poker he'd either be a phone psychic or play the lottery for a living.
  10. You guys are harsh. If you're in a long slump, I think the best thing to do is just take an extended period of time off so you can start thinking straight about the game again.
  11. Legsarelikebutter/rober f and I both moved on to the 3rd round. I had a bunch of chips and then completely donked them off toward the end in one hand. Wouldn't have done it if my opponent had any more chips than he did. After that, I folded my way into the top 320.Legsarelikebutter grinded it out, playing really resiliently with a shortstack for most of the tourney, picking great spots to get his money in and surviving. I think the round 3 tourney is on September 3rd.
  12. At least two FCP'ers are still in with 670 left. Not sure what your PS name is Denren.EDIT: Inside the top 20 with about 360 left (320 make it). I'm in as long as I don't lose my mind.EDIT 2: Lost my mind and blew off half my chips.
  13. Joe Sebok says: "God, he's sexy..."
  14. Against loose opponents, I play tight pre-flop and loose post-flop. It's rough though, because in 4 or 5 way pots, you can pretty much throw the odds out the window.
  15. Bring on the monkey "No, you don't understand, Scott. Patrik Antonias is, like, biogenetically engineered to be the sexiest man alive... ... ... he's so hot..."
  16. I very much doubt that many, at any given time are broke. They all talk about how going broke is part of the game, but I think in most cases, they're talking about the early stages of their careers. Especially Mike Mike Matusow, who I very much doubt is actually broke. At any given moment, a few pros might be broke, but I doubt it lasts long. Besides, most "TV Pros" now have endorsement deals worth a lot of money.
  17. Everest is pretty soft. Smaller, very international, site, but it only has hold 'em. The micro limit games are filled with guys who call too much (including myself when I simply can't believe a guy would play a 3-7 in that spot). If you make a hand, you'll more than likely get paid off. But at the same time, beware that most of the players will chase cards right to their gave. That means it's your grave if they make their hand.
  18. He plans to work his way up from there. He's trying to turn 0 into 10 grand at FT. He says he turned 1 dollar into 20 grand on another site several years ago.
  19. Gavin, Dags, and Huck Seed are all playing Omaha split right now.
  20. Anyone have a list of FCP'ers playing? I want to follow them in chip counts.
  21. Although I would recommend the temp job too, you probably have a few months living expenses in your bankroll, so as long as you don't gamble that, all the power to you. The blog is awesome! I'll be following and rooting for you.
