  1. Looks like I'm going out on the bubble. This feeling sucks.
  2. Anyone in the Moneymaker freeroll? I'm in the mood to sweat someone. Also, are any other FCP'ers in round 3 tomorrow?
  3. i've always found high stakes play money much more challenging than micro stakes real money, especially in sit n' goes. Maybe they just want an unlimited bankroll to practice with. I have no idea really, but this is my only guess.
  4. I think you said the main problem yourself - you're playing way too high. It doesn't matter how good you are, eventually a losing streak is going to catch you eventually and your bankroll isn't big enough to sustain any serious losses. So, in my opinion, you have to either player lower or add to your bankroll.
  5. Flopped quads a few times. Turned a Royal Flush twice and rivered another one.
  6. Is the George Lopez with over 100k in chips the same one from tv?
  7. Nope, Canadian. I picked Carolina at the first of last year to be good (not to win the cup, mind you). I like way the team looks though, and they're all in their prime other than Brind'Amour. Cole, Staal, and Williams are a great core.
  8. If there was ever a time to bring Jimmy Howard in, this was the season. The wins will very likely be in transition with the loss of Shanahan and Yzerman, as the reigns go to younger guys like Zetterberg and Datsyuk. Zetterberg appears to be the only young player with any leadership ability. I hope I'm wrong, but to me, this is starting to remind me of the old Rangers.
  9. Playing heads up is the biggest flaw in my NLHE poker game, and since I play a lot of sit n' goes, it's costing me a lot of profits. I consistently cash, but lately, when I get heads up, I have a terrible time finishing off my opponent. As I became a more advanced player, I recognized this as probably my biggest flaw (other than, perhaps, tilt). And somewhere along the line, I corrected it and became very successful heads up for quite some time, to the point where I was considering it a strength. But then a successive run of bad beats put me on tilt to the point where I knew the smartest dec
  10. To get good enough heads up to at least win 50% of those situations. Yes, that's right, I am a terrible heads up player.
  11. Looks like the magical run might be coming to the end. With a 600 bb, Madsen is at 11,000. Unless he catches a miraculous run of cards, he'll be done.
  12. Doesn't mean he can't play either. Gotta give credit to anyone surviving this field, and he's got some chips too. I wonder what the highest cash is for an actor.
  13. Matusow dusted off about 7 grand in Omaha. It was pretty priceless as he went on a rant about how people kept two outting him and he was the unluckiest man in poker. i think he mentioned Daniel drawing a gutshot on him. lol Pretty sure he was wasted. Oh, and he said everyone in poker sucks now. It was more entertaining than television, I swear.
  14. I go through the same thing. Your bankroll is a lot higher than mine, so you probably know more than I do about this, but I think you should definitely take more time off. At least for me, when I'm on a murderously bad run, it starts to feel like there's no way I'm going to win any hand I'm in, and I can actually feel the two-outers coming (which they always do). I try to take off enough time that my head gets straight again, and I start remembering how I built my bankroll rather than how I blew off a chunk of it.
  15. People who get mad at people for sucking out on them, pulling Phil Hellmuth's "I can't believe you played that hand so horribly!" On the other side, people who celebrate suckouts, thinking it makes them a great player.
  16. Did the monkey play or did they not let him?
  17. I migh be completely dillusional, but I thought I saw Mike Matusow on two seperate days. I just figured it was an error on cardplayer.
  18. Definitely dead at the WPT. I would think at the WSOP too, since you can't show your cards on the river while pondering a call.
  19. I'm guessing the hands were checked down.
  20. Have any FCP'ers made it through day 1 yet?
  21. It was asked what the players thought of the lawsuit a while ago, and my only real input is that on the Circuit, Gavin Smith said he agreed with a lot of what the players were standing for, but like a lot of not-so-rich pros, he doesn't have the ability to stand with them. I seem to remember him implying that there were other players in similar circumstances, but I can't remember.Does it seem to anyone else like the players are suiing for something completely different than what they have a problem with? They seem to have a problem with the release form, but the lawsuit doesn't have much to
