  1. OMG.That is the best game ever. 1) It was the best cover ever for me, since I had seattle +3.5, I finished the weekend 8-0-1, my greatest football betting weekend ever 2) the packers got literally cheated by a call in what will be the most infamous blown call of all time. I couldn't be happier to see the team I hate most on the planet cheated. Oh the rage from packer fans literally arouses me. 3) this will be the catalyst for the real refs to come back.

    it doesn't matter if you love or hate the team that got fist****ed like this, the fact that you're happy to see it happen is pathetic. a blown call of this magnitude seriously calls into question the integrity of the game. missing the original call is one thing, but to have it reviewed and still blow it is just unbelievable. the only thing i can possibly agree with you on is that it might actually speed up the process of getting the real officials back, because for god's sake these morons need to get the **** out of the nfl and back to footlocker as soon as possible

  2. What's up suckas?

    So I made this post already in a new topic, but I thought I would share it with my homies here (considering the thread I made will most likely fade into oblivion).

    A few days ago I got the idea to develop a new card game. Why, I don't know, but I ran with it. Here's the basics that I've come up with so far:

    Dealing the Game

    -Played by 4 people, split into 2 teams

    -You start by dealing out all 52 cards, one a t a time, to all 4 players.

    -Next you choose 3 cards to pass across the table to your partner

    -Played in games of 8 rounds/hands (each player deals twice)

    Playing the Hand

    -The dealer leads for the entire hand

    -You can lead with any card of any suit

    -Following players must follow suit, and if they cannot, they must follow the color. If you cannot follow color or suit, you can play anything you wish.

    -Points are tallied like baccarat (if you haven't played baccarat, essentially it is totaled to 9. Anything over 9 is reset to a single digit. For example, 3 + 5 + 8 = 16, so the score is 6)

    -Number cards are their value, 10s and face cards are 0

    -Your goal is to get as close to 9 as possible, so as an opposing player, your goal is to stick the player with the lowest total you can

    Scoring

    -Each hand is scored after all 4 players have played. Points are awarded based on the hand total as follows:

    1-5 = equivalent points (1 is worth 1, 2 is worth 2, etc)

    6 = 7 points

    7 = 10 points

    8 = 15 points

    9 = 25 points

    -If the hand total is 0, the opposing team scores 10 points

    That's what I've got so far. If there's already something out there similar, I've never heard of it, but I could be wrong and this might not be new at all. I've been working on programming it into my computer to try it out, without any real strategy on the computer's part other than to boost your team's score and limit your opponent's score, and it's kinda fun. I can imagine that playing against actual people dramatically changes things though.

    If anyone has any suggestions or anything to improve it or de-complicate it or whatever I'd be happy to hear it.

    Also, it needs a name, as I am not creative enough to come up with one.

    After posting the thread I saw my kickass +1 signature, and thought "Hmm, +1 is a great name." Clearly someone has to come up with a better name.

  3. First off, this has nothing to do with poker at all.

  4. o_O that's a really long time to wait man.I'd be pissed too. I'll be praying.
    thanks manjust as an update to anyone else who ever reads this thread anymore (because i don't care enough to start my own "omg i might have cancer" thread), i had an appointment with my oncologist earlier in the week and she basically gave me the rundown on what she was thinking. essentially, if i have a tumor in my lung, it could very well be the cause of my calcium levels being elevated. at the same time, whatever it is, it may be evidence of something spreading to the lung, and could be originated elsewhere in my body. we've already done a bone scan which came back fine and the ct scan didn't show any other areas of concern, so there is an outside possibility that there could be something wrong with my bone marrow. so i get to have a bone marrow biopsy done on june 14th, which i am definitely not looking forward to. giant ass needle in the hip bone is -ev. at this point i just want these doctors to find something so i can get it treated/put my mind at ease...i swear just knowing would be a nice relief.i'll keep you guys updated
  5. got some new info on my medical condition...recently had a CT scan, and got the results back yesterday. they found a 6mm "indeterminate nodule" on the upper lobe of my right lung. basically this could be a benign tumor, scar tissue of some kind, or the beginning stages of lung cancer. my oncologist scheduled a second CT scan for the end of July to see if the spot is growing or whatnot before doing a biopsy to check for malignancy. i'm being given very little info on it at this point, and get to wait 3 months for any real answers.as a side note, i am not now, nor have i ever been a smoker, though i have probably spent about 90% of my life around smokers. if i do indeed have lung cancer i think i have the right to be pissed.

  6. And then they didn't even split the votes as planned.
    because jay hung himself...after troyzan tells him the way to keep their asses alive, he runs and tells the girls that troyzan is using his idol, which clearly makes jay the top priority. there was no reason to split the votes heavy towards troyzan anymore since jay pretty much volunteered to go home. these guys are just plain bad at survivor.
  7. so i am apparently a bit of a medical mystery...about 10 years ago i went to my doctor because i was having these dizzy spells, and the blood work he did came back showing that i was hypercalcemic (too much calcium in the blood). i had to go in a couple more times for retesting and follow up testing, but before we ever got around to figuring out the root cause, he packed up and bailed to florida. anyways, about 3 yrs ago when i was super depressed and lost a bunch of weight, my mom panicked and figured i must have cancer, so i got some more blood work done, which of course came back hypercalcemic again. more tests and follow up tests later, still no answer. of course, i wasn't feeling any symptoms of anything, so i just stopped scheduling bloodletting appointments.about 5 months ago i had to get more blood drawn, and naturally the results come back that i am still hypercalcemic. this time, my doctor decides he needs to refer me to a specialist. my enocrinologist tested me for just about everything known to man when it comes to hypercalcemia, and found absolutely nothing that would be to blame. his latest "update" on my case was pretty much him just saying he gives up.today i went to my family doctor (i have strep throat, go me!) and he asked about my condition. after telling him the specialist was clueless, he decided it is now his mission to find someone that can figure out wtf is wrong with me. so friday i get to do a full-body bone scan, and the following thursday i get to see an oncologist (even though he's fairly certain i don't have any sort of malignancy).i'm fairly certain that my calcium levels are just reflecting my excellence levels.

  8. instant karma ftwsaw the merge thing coming, but was hoping that there would be an immediate vote (because how awesome would that have been?)...when jeff told them they would be living on the original beach, i SO thought he would say "but only 11 of you will be going there, and with that, its time to vote" oh well, at least colton's stupid ass is gone

  9. Is Creighton a city or a misspelled slur? 8 seems ironically appropriate but not good. I should post more.... Nah, work is fun. Ima work.
    creighton is the team in omaha that bandwagon fans around here jump on during basketball season because NU is awful
