Unfortunatly It is not the modem or power pack, everything is working fine, there is some stupid number called HFC MAC ID that someone somewhere needs to know to make things work.

Well I put peanut butter all over the screen, and it didn't do anything.

Thanks guys, but still no luck, I installed the software, turned it all off unplugged it all, plugged it back in turned the modem on then the computer, in that order and still no luck.Frusturating for sure.The modem and cables are all brand new, 10 min old.

What does it mean when the cable modem power light is flashing, all the other lights are on, but the computer won't connect to the internet.
