Typical gesture, last night he starts Toronto kid Kevin Weekes against the Leafs. Weekes responded with a great game... now, if he can only keep Jagr and his Czech posse from imploding. Didn't bode well last night watching Straka stand on the Leaf blue line with the play still in the Rangers end, screaming for a pass....

Stan Fischler CAN be an idiot, but he's also agreat journalist. I don't agree with the exact statement, but I WOULD agree that, if Herb Brooks did the same thing for the Canadian National Teams as he did for both the U.S. teams and ESPECIALLY for the good of hockey in the U.S., he woul dbe a shoo-in for theHHOF. And the selection committee for the HHOF IS almost entirely Canadian. And, heck, we canucks just don't like americans, right? (TOngue firmly planted in cheek). I believe Herb Brooks SHOULD be in the HHOF, as a builder if nothing else....

Toronto's record in Buffalo in the past five years is abysmal. I asked some of the guys why, they say it's the short travel, and the hotel sucks. They're never in the right mode playing in Buff. And their record shows it....

Pre game skate starts 45 minutes before the scheduled game time. He will be awed by just how big these guys look on their skates.
