  1. Thin at forward?? Is that a Tkachuk joke, Daniel??? I would make the deal. Pronger's slow start is an anomaly. The people I know in the Oiler's organization say he's doing everything right, the puck just isnt going in for him..... Tkachuk.... well, who knows with him?
  2. My apologies again, guys.... this working thing sucks.... Assuming that the two remaining players can get their picks in on time...... 3. LOL... put yourself down as the correspondent for FCP?
  4. The NHL has several secure sites: there is a site for league governors/gm's I dont know the URL, but I can find out for you if you need it.... there is a Media site www.nhlmedia.com which is for us fancy pants accredited NHL writers (and anyone who can fool the NHL into believing them there is a secure NHLPA site for the players only.... another one for team reps..... one for the officials..... man, there are tons now that I think about it..... something you're after in particular monkey?
  5. LOL... dont worry fellas... the mistakes he's making are contributing to his scoring..... his goal on Saturday night.. which was a nice shot and a nice goal.... came when he jumped into the slot to take a pass from...... His defence partner, Kaberle, who was below the Thrashers goal line... if he misses, or the shot is blocked, it's a two on oh going the other way- it was a HORRIBLE read on his part, and there is NO WAY he should have jumped in there.... the little things you cant see on TV.....
  6. Actually, it's happened a few times before.... the last one I remember was when the umpire had a massive heart attack and died at home plate on opening day a couple of years ago. And the decision to stop the game was made at NHL head office...
  7. Ah, if you guys only knew how badly MCabe was playing right now DESPITE all the points.....

  10. that was a clean hit. anytime someone makes a big hit and someone gets hurt people think its dirty.domi is lucky stevens wasn't on the ice. as for the tough guys being nice, domi doesn't fit there. that guy is a real dick in person. There's no way you're thinking of the same elbow I am. I was at that game. Not a clean hit.... no chance........ dirty dirty dirty..... and, yes, Domi is a dick in person....
  11. One of the cheapest shots of all time: Jim Schoenfelfd, coaching the Sabres to ref Don Koharski after a bad call against his team, caught on cameras beneath the stands at the Buffalo Aud: "GO HAVE ANOTHER DONUT YOU FAT PIG" Now THAT is a cheap shot!!
  12. There are all kinds of examples of his awful coaching that are readily visible on the ice.... and, again... public forum, so I have to be relatively careful.... but I can tell you that the stories INSIDE the dressing room about his lack of.... well, EVERYTHING..... are ten times worse than what goes on during the game... He gets outcoached regularly, and his normal pattern of skilled coaching during the game consists mainly of bitching at the refs for every icing, offside, and penalty call they make. And for the record.... Don Cherry was right..... Quinn DID run up the score against A
  13. Yeah, if Quinn hadn't decided last minute to throw Belak into the line-up (after preaching all week that it's so tough to change the line-up when you're winning- I wonder if this means he will leave Belak in until they lose?? HA! right..) Anyway, no Belak no fight... A couple of Thrashers (Savard and Exelby) both tried to get Domi to go... but.... hey, he's a scorer now, can't be fighting.... As an aside..... just to further prove the point on how bad a coach Quinn is: Five minutes left in the game, 4 goal lead, on the power play- almost every coach in the NHL would throw Ponikarovsky
  14. Lets see.... scalped tickets for the Leafs..... 250 each...... two fines for disorderly conduct..... 250 each....... seeing a monkey fight at a hockey game..... Priceless.....
  15. I'll be there too, in the press box..... and I will take all bets that there isn't a single fight tonight..... :-)

    help!!!!

LOL... Nedved.... I only remember him cos we share a birthday. His cup of coffee was cut short by being told he was too small to ever play fulltime in the league. He went back to the Czech Rep, and kicked around there for a while. Last I heard, he was in the DEL (German Elite League). I agree with you, Monkey, he looked like one of those guys that could do something..... And Bohonos? Two words: HEAD....CASE..... LOL.... cant say more than that in a public forum.... Isn't that move called a Lonny Bohonos? Gruven, what happened to Zdenek Nedved? The guy seemed to have so much poten

    help!!!!

Sadly, for Fleury, because of a huge Games Played bonus in his contract AND the two way salary system, this will be Fleury's lot in life for this NHL season. Too bad....
  18. www.hockeydb.com find ANY player in any league..... Invaluable for a good game of 'whatever happened to'

    help!!!!

Jocelyn Thibault has fought injuries his whole career. This new wide open play greatly increases the chances of injury for goalies. I said before the season started on a thread on here that he would get hurt and.... voila...
  20. Yeah, and Tucker is on the limp.... Belak is unlikely to be in the line-up (and SHOULDN'T be!) Allison and O'neill can both scrap but you don't really want them too... Oh, and Tie Domi fancies himself too valuable an offensive player to be involved in fisticuffs. Particularly after McGrattan re-arranged his face.... My prediction: No fights, few hits, and a 5-3 game.....
  21. Yeah, actually that was a freak accident, I remember that: Mush skated over centre, dumped the puck, and as he released the shot, he caught a rut and fell head first into the open penalty box door. It was U-G-L-Y..... Funny, too, like most tough guys..... a real nice guy off the ice.. funny thing about him. I used to hate him with a passion, because he played the game with a dirty streak and no talent. Then I was watching that playoff game against Dallas when he played for the Oilers, and if memory serves me correct he crashed into the opposing team's bench's door on a check, and was convul
  22. fter this week, you better hope the Sens juggle the lines.... cos you done used the whole trio, Spit....
