  4. Anyone trying to get on the cruise for the PPM V???I'm wondering whether you have to be 21+ or just 18+. I looked all over party's website and it doesn't say. I know the last poker stars cruise, there were lots of 18+ players.
  5. Wow. Turn fold is horrible. The only way you make this turn fold here is if you got a good read on the guy. i.e this guy is the tightsest guy ever. He never raises unless he's got the goods and only plays premiums hands so he's got aq, k's, or aces here. Well if that's the case then you made another huge mistake. You called preflop. So, either way, this hand was horribly played.
  6. PP has avatars??? Seriously?
  7. Explain to her how you don't gamble. You're an "investor". Give an example. i.e. Poker is like betting $2 on a coinflip where everytime it's heads you get payed $3. etc.Show her examples of successful poker players. i.e. DN, etc. Not players like Matusow ^_-.If she doesn't comply, learn from Rounders and kick that girl to the curb early and save yourself the trouble. But, if you really like her, then give up poker.
  8. 3rd out of 1000+, 2nd out of 600+, 2nd out of 500+ all in one week
  9. I think this really depends on your read of the player. Will he 3bet that flop with a draw? (probably). But will he bet that river with a busted draw? Is he a bluffer? If he's capable of 3betting with a draw and then betting on the river with nothing then I have to make that call with the big pot. But all you can really beat here is another busted flush draw. I doubt he would 3bet with a str8 draw there (well I don't really doubt it at 3/6, but you know what I mean).
  10. depends on whether you are referring to NL hold'em or Limit Hold'em. Big difference in games.
  11. It works fine. I've played on a labtop since I started. No different than a regular comp except you have better mobility. Wireless makes things so much easier. When you're at home you should have an extra monitor to hook up to your labtop (a cheap one will do fine). That helps a lot .

  14. Wow. Very interesting play. Looks like this new DC is outplaying DN now. 15. Dreamclown: this game might not last till 8KidPoker: thats ok.. you can quit whenever I dont mindlol
  16. LOL... a bunch of nobodies on the waiting list preventing DC from getting back on table
  17. DC never got mad... Pls don't make stuff up.However, DN has been hitting a lot of hands. DN was owning DC tho. DN pulled the "flop call, then turn lead bet oop and 3bet" with the best hand several times. Very nicely done. Everytime he seemed to know when DC was going to raise and got in the 3bet.
  18. First off, I REALLY do think That's awesome that you think I'm a d1ck and you're cool with that. Secondly, I wasn't being condescending to him by saying that. I honestly meant it. I found I improved my game far more by simply thinking situations through by myself than having someone tell me what the right play is. First, by thinking it through yourself, you understand where it comes from and why it's the wrong play. Second, it develops a good habit of thinking over a certain play you made after it happened and figuring out why it was right or wrong. I know that the point of posting here is to
  19. Haha, wow. You're a dick. That's awesome.I wasn't calling him stupid. I'm simply stating that this play is stupid. I've done it before in the past. There's nothing to be ashamed about. We all make mistakes and we get better by learning from them. Anyways, I think That's awesome that you think I'm a d1ck because the word stupid showed up in a sentence I wrote. Maybe, I'll substitute it with the word dumb next time.
  20. It seems to be 6 handed in which case calling this raise in position wouldnt be that bad.3-betting is pointless, AJ plays pretty well multiway.I really can't tell if you're being sarcastic or serious, but in any case I'd like to hear your argument for how aj plays well multiway.
  21. a little late to put sw drzebra. Remember sarcasm doesn't come through the computer very well ^_-. Anyways, ugly play imo. No value here. Seems more like a "I wanna run all these weak players over! cuz I CAN and I'M BETTER THAN THEM!!" type of play. But that's just my opinion.
  22. If you reason it out... just think about your turn play... you'll conclude that raising with the intention of showing down really gives you no value and is rather stupid. Do the math on the possible situations when you raise on the turn for a SD or just call down. Thinking things through is more important than having someone tell you what to do, so i hope you go through it yourself.
  23. I don't like this play at all considering the position of the preflop raiser, the texture of the board, and your hand. I don't mind doing this play every now and then to mix it up, but honestly, at a 3/6 game i found that getting tricky was completely unnecessary and ended up costing me bets. I think your giving players too much credit for reading into what your doing. Also, the texture of this flop is really not good for you. What can you have beat when he raises from that early a position (and he's tight)? He may fold jacks and lower and maybe aj.
