chris ferguson about to play on full tilt:
mx957 replied to closetwin's topic in General Poker Forum
CT,I lend you a piece of advice. Don't go steppin on people when you are the one looking foolish. Fulltilt has the most pro's on their site as a feature and you can always find them because their tables show up in red. Almost ANY night you can find one on...Ferguson, Lindgren, D'Agostino, Gordon, Lederer, Gowen, and several more that I can even think of right now. The forum get's a half dozen of these kinds of posts a week. It's not new and hence the refrence to you being "Fireproof". So instead of sitting back and watchin what was going on, you chose to "Flame" first. Not a good way to -
1) set pokerstars up to put hand histories on your hard drive2) set pokertracker up to read the handhistories from that location3) set pokertrackers timer to check for hand histories every X minutes that you want.

Been to Ameristar and Harrah's. I prefer Harrah's not for anything in particular. I am not to sure if Harrah's offer's Omaha but I am pretty sure that Ameristar does as they have a Omaha High Hand Jackpot on the wall so....you would assume that they spread the game. Not sure if it's just Omaha or Omaha Hi/Lo.

I didn't even catch that...and who says fish don't have money?

If I remember right Buss was all in and DN called him. The 8 of diamonds made DN's Straight and then he called the J Diamonds to give him the straight flush. The straight flush was just icing, the straight ended the hand for all intents and purposes.

I think DN also talked about playing every hand no matter what for like an hour straight (granted this was in a ring game but..) in one of his blog entries back several months ago. It's amazing how you can tilt other players with a change in your behavior.

How many hands did you play? Where you mostly observing and not playing many hands? It was probably more of a function of being involved in less hands and having a "Tight and Aggressive" table image against inferior players than reading your opposition.Just my thoughts. Not a flame, as I have heard and read that people do it from time to time....just another point of view to consider.

UTG shows [ Jd, Ah ] a pair of aces.Hero shows [ Kd, Ks ] three of a kind, kings.Hero wins 34500 chips from the main pot with three of a kind, kings.I know most people think I didn't bet enough on the flop and that's a decision I made at the time. I had a predetermined mindset before I began the tourney to not push as hard as I had in the past. I would always push harder pre-flop and after the flop and end up right around the money. This time I told myself to try and work my strong hands for more chips. It's dangerous and you get sucked out on or they catch up to you. I know it was a ri

Not really. I raised 5x the big blind with pocket Q's and got raised all in by AK. An A hit the turn and I was out in 12. I think the turn bet I probably should have bet more but the river is where I am most worried about.

Ok, I made my best showing ever in a MTT this weekend 12th out of 1752 in a $30.00 + $3 tourney on Party. I was feeling pretty good but one hand is bothering me. I think if I had extracted a few more chips I might have made it to the final table. Tell me what you guys think. Was I to tight to not bet the river? I had the K of Diamonds and the A was on the board so the best he could have been drawing to was a Q...Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t3000 (10 handed) converterUTG+1 (t10651)Hero (t51244)MP1 (t9086)MP2 (t31661)MP3 (t29292)CO (t46406)Button (t21953)SB (t19861)BB

My Name is Mr. Ngumbo,Tragedy life passed mine with my father dead, killed by wild chicken. My father was a powerful man in UngoBogo, and left a chest full of treasure. If I try to claim the chest, then I must pay taxes on the treasure and state will take away everything because bankrupt was corporation father was.I need your help. I have selected you, and you alone for this very modal deal. I you give 15% of all money in chest if you come to UngoBogo with your ATM card. We will need to create documentation for you to claim the chest. My lawyer will worry about the modalities of this.Ple

So what you want is for me to give you the digits to my ATM card? Now why would I do that?

Go To http://www.worldseriesofpoker.com They have a pre-registration section on there. It also says that pre-registration closes 1 week prior to the event so don't delay if you want to get into the June 3rd event.

Good luck, it's going to be like a minefield. Is there a cap for those events, I don't see how they can be one day events if there are 1K+ ?I thought they were predominately two day events? NO?Usually only the final table is the next day.Close what it really says is: All levels up to the final table will last 60 minutes. Final table levels will be 90 minutes. Breaks will be every two rounds. A 60-minute dinner break will follow level 6. Play will last the first day until we are down to the final table or upon completion of the 12th level (whichever comes first). Play will resume at 2 PM

Each event is capped @ 2200 entries. I think you'll be presently surprised at the turn out. I'd be shocked if each event didn't have 1k+ minimum.

Ok, I am done with this topic. Thanks Justblaze, for the record you have brought up some good stuff. I don't think I convinced you and you didn't change my mind either. That's ok.Just for the record, there isn't anything that can be done about this so to me that's where the ethics get involved. That's the reason I kept harping on that fact. Thanks again for the good debate without a personal attack.

If you look at my orignal post....that's what I said. It's ethics. If you don't have ethics, rules won't help you. If you play unethically, you don't care what the rules are.well, thats completely untrue.Ethics:1. A set of principles of right conduct. 2. A theory or a system of moral valuesRules:1. An authoritative, prescribed direction for conduct, especially one of the regulations governing procedure in a legislative body or a regulation observed by the players in a game, sport, or contest. one can ignore ethics and still care what the rules are. There is no rule to behave ethically. If

Thanks you have made me see the light. Glad you are so enlightening. If you can't engage in a good healthy discusion with some valid points ...why even bother... Oh yeah it's the only way you can feel even remotely valid. To bad it's not true though.

why would that have any relevance? The online game is significantly different from the live game in this respect. The rules are different. Most casinos explicitly state the 'one player to a hand' rule. None of the online casinos which the 'team' is playing on make any mention of this rule. In your next casino cash game, ask for the hand histories and let me know how that works. It wont. Why? because live games dont provide hand histories. Online games do. In your next live game, ask if you can play more than one table at the same time. You cant. Why? because the online game is conducive to thi

Collusion:A secret agreement between two or more parties for a fraudulent, illegal, or deceitful purpose. How, again, is what the 'team' doing collusion? The rule says nothing about receiving advice during play. You mean to tell me you've never had a buddy watching you play casually suggest a possible opponent holding, or appropriate action?AFTER the hand was over yes. Durring a hand NEVER! No.forgive me for calling you a liar. But besides that, collusion in poker has a very specific definition. Collusion is the act of sharing information otherwise unavailable to individual players in order t
