Lack of good Personal Hygine....

Kind of like Michellin did to F1 this last weekend....it's not good for either cause when things like that happen. I don't think we need an IPF but that's because I play here in Vegas and Kansas City....I don't feel qualified to speak on games outside of those locations, so I'd have to defer to some more "Well Traveled" poker players to get a good read on this situation. I'd be interested to hear what Harry Demetriou has to say on it tho.....

I agree with the OP, I really hate to bet the best hand. All that does is make me last longer in these darned poker tournys....(SW) The thing that really surprises me are 1) people took this thread seriously and 2) the OP isn't banned yet for his racist remarks.

Mostly talks about poker rooms in "International" settings. While poker varies greatly from poker room to poker room, things here in the US are loosely standardized (even that's not really a given). But now take that international, England, France, Germany, Holland, Australia etc. rules can get bent and twisted very easily. Many people are upset at the payout structure of the WSOP, they think that it's pays to far down and doesn't reward the winner as much as it should. He had business ventures in LA this week. He mentions it in a Phil Gordon Podcast.... He's doing a TV Show for Ultimate Bet, a Charity/Celebrity Poker Tourney and he was supposed to be on "The Best Damn Sports Show" earlier this week. It's Josh Arieh, it was in his blog entry about a 2-7 triple draw cash game he was in after busting out of one of the WSOP tourneys....The villian pat's the table (the sign for standing pat) and then josh stands pat and then the villian asks for his draw (out of order and after he supposedly stood pat). It's the sames as past WSOP events. You get as many chips as the buy in. 1,000 buy in, 1,000 chips. 2,500 buy in, 2,500 chips. Main event 10,000 buy in, 10,000 chips.No DN can't make any excuses. That part hasn't changed, it's field size that has. He may be pressing a bit to much...but that's only speculation on my part.

You have to put the right view on this. In the WPT events, you start out with 10,000 chips. In these events you only start out with 1,500. I think the sense of urgency is high with larger fields and less chips.

Just write them an I.O.U. I am sure they'll look at you and say you are good for it.Harry Demitrou put up a post on this last week. Search for it...It talks about Cashier's check or bank transfer. It also says that you can "bank" some money with them and then draw from it to sign up for other events.
