Why Is Gambling Illegal Under The Age Of 21?
mx957 replied to GambleToWin's topic in General Poker Forum
As well as kids are handling responsiblity these days...the age of adulthood is going up. Some states are now moving the driving age from 16 to 18. When I was 18 we could drink beer but hard liquor was 21, not anymore. I do agree with the argument that if you are old enough to fight for your country then you should be afford all the rights of adults. 16 is way to young. Some kids are adults at 18, some at 21 and even some never get it. Our society is playing to the lowest common denominator so naturally the age keeps going up. Instead of holding the bad apples accountable for their bad -

Shhhhhh!! Don't wake the kid up, he might actually get his own sarcasm! -
GG Chucksty 55th is awesome! With the player to his right all in for 118,000, ChuckSty moved in over the top for 207k. The player in the big blind thought long and hard, wanting to make the call and even going as far to say out loud that he would still have an average stack if he lost.He ended up folding and ChuckSty was heads up all in preflop with his 99 against AT.The board came AA588 and ChuckSty lost a race along with a majority of his chips.A few hands later Tom "ChuckSty" Rau was officially eliminated in 55th place for $14,128.

Not many people know that Omaha and Council Bluffs are neighbors (seperated by a river and State line). Since the casino is in Council Bluffs, you might have led with WSOP Council Bluffs and gotten more favorable responses.I am working on attending. We'll see how it shakes out closer to the event.

Ok, My vote:For a Stars avatar I'd go with #8 or #5 (I like the green but I like blue better). For a shirt I'd go with #4 ANIC. That's pretty darn good stuff!!!!!And the s7s name is awesome.....edit: Oh and qyayqi - those are great as well, just not sure how well that would transfer to a shirt or avatar.

Is your Anus Chapped?

The might let you get away with it once, warning the second time and penalty the next time. Depending on the Tourney Director that is. If you look at the rules of poker you'll see that acting out of turn can induce a penalty.

I seem to always get a paper cut from the Ace of spades. Does that make me weird? And believe me when I tell you a paper cut in that region smarts!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes UB isn't the best in customer service.

I think you lost it on the flop. Either push or fold on the flop. The call on the flop sets you up for a tough turn card which will most likely be a brick. Either try and take control of the hand or fold it.

Darn it, I would have thought that DN would be smart enough to put the name of his book on his website. Going to http://www.fullcontactpoker.com I was so disappointed that I didn't see in the lower left hand corner of the web page a reference to his book, man he should have made it a link to......SW!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll keep it short, but Steve, Adam, Jamie and the rest of the group helped me out alot. My game still isn't where I want it to be but that's my fault and not theirs. I haven't spent as much time on my game as I'd like but with the tools, knowledge and information that they have assisted me with, I can still say I have learned alot and I now have the skills to keep moving forward. Thanks to everyone and I am looking forward to the trip to LA!Ron.

The Min. Amount Of Poker Money Before You Can Call It A Bankroll
mx957 replied to Dratj's topic in General Poker Forum
A bankroll is a bankroll. Size doesn't matter, Limits don't matter. If you play for the proper +EV at the limits your bankroll allows then you'll be a winning player. I don't need to get into a bankroll size comparison for me to judge if I am a better poker player than someone else. It comes down to playing proper +EV.It always makes me laugh when I see someone say "let's go to a headsup table and I'll put my bankroll against yours" If you have a six figure bank account, your initial bankroll would be large, that still doesn't mean your a good player.I like the post Actuary put in the QQ -
Ok, if this guys website is legit here is your answer:I've noticed that in some cardrooms the dealer mixes the cards face down on the table before shuffling every hand, while in other rooms they do that only when the deck is changed and maybe on player request. What is your opinion on this? The action you describe is called scrambling the cards (as in scrambled eggs). On a blackjack table, this same action is called "washing the cards." The deck is spread out face down on the table, and the dealer slides them around using circular motions to thoroughly mix the cards. The old standard shuffle s
