  1. I probably just call the raise here. This is a hand I don't mind seeing a flop with even if its multiway. I'm thinking there's only one A left out there at most, so I let the others come along and hope to win a big pot here. You really want to play a pot heads up with this hand. Especially with having position on the orignal raiser, YOU HAVE TO RAISE. Stacks sizes are also important here and if we can commit UTG on the flop or not.just read ChamonyX post, he is always right
  2. repot, to get heads up with as much money in as you can. YOU WANT TO GET IT ALL IN HERE
  3. nice hand, -ev missing out on implied tilt odds!
  4. def. raise pre flop. 1. value2. limit range of hands by taking out blinds3. position, more likely to take turn off for free if needed.
  5. 200BB for limit, 15-20 max buyins for PL
  6. check fold, lead on turn is horrible............u can't beat anything
  7. bet 1/2 pot on flopbet 2/3 on turn, YOU have to build pot, someone will not do it for you. Dont worry about "getting action" u will get it more often then not at that level.
  8. Anyone have any advice with respect to large PLO tourneys? I have had success in PLO tourneys, but most range from 100-200 people. Today is event #5 on dise masters, feild should be 700+. Are there any big adjustments I should make? (i.e such a large tourney with no antes)
  9. still unsure about scoring, is it a total of all your finishes? top 5? top 10?
  10. I think adding a $50 PLo8 would be perfect, as well as a $20 stud hi/low
  11. nice work. Great idea, I am in. I know its late, but is there any chance for a PL omaha hi/low event. And maybe a stud hi/low event?Only 1 split pot game is kinda week IMO
  12. curious to who else plays these. My favorites: the Friday $50 at stars (2 of them) the daily $100 at party (2 of them daily) the $33 rebuy 7k guaranteed party the $150 at dise, (1 time a week)anybody know of any bigger PL08 tourneys? like a dialy $200??????????
  13. I have had some good success in PLO8 tourneys lately, with 5 final tables since new yearlimping is big mistake. I dont recomed playing that hand at all. From any position. Unless you make pot raise with it from Button or cutoff on steal hand is pretty much worthless this deep.Like AceJack said, playing hands that include and A2 A3 are huge. you had some chips you should use them as advantage. Like holdem tourneys stealing blinds is key. In PLO8 is a great to steal not having worry about splitting pot. Ohh yea, FOLD on flop, no need playing big pot with bottom 2
  14. the calling 2 bets cold on flop is the questionI think its easy fold. All you have is an open ender (could even be drawing against wrap)I dont play a lot of limit hold, is it correct to call 2 bets cold out of position with just 2 overs and opender?(in this case 2 overs dead, but just wondering)
  15. This is from an old post by DN. He talks about Barry's lack of skill in LH and who he thinks are the top LH players in the world. I found it interesting that he brought up Ray Dekargani's name among so many other great pros.In fact, I would stake Joe in limit hold'em against Barry anytime. I'd also stake Jennifer Harman, Todd Brunson, Howard Lederer, Phil Ivey, John D'Agostino, Erick Lindgren, Erik123, David Oppenhiem, Ted Forrest, Ray Dekargani, John Hennigan and several others in limit hold'em against Barry. I think it's one of his worst games.
  16. Well, I lost the hand history so sorry if results are sloppy. >>> TURN <<< [Th 3c Qh] [5h] MarcosMyFish: checks moneytoburn??????????????? moneytoburn checks. My thought procces being that by his raise preflop I know his most likly holdings are hand like A2xx and quite possiblely A23x. I think you have to pot the turn to make him pay to draw for lowWhy? we have the low draw as well, why not let him make the low and quarter him for all his chips? >>> River<<< [Th 3c Qh] [5h] [8c]The river ended up making me the nut low, my oppenet came out potting it ri
  17. I am a little confused as well. Wintermute, could you clarify your flop play with this hand? (If you didnt see, I posted mine earlier)

  19. I think this hand has many ways to which can be played.First off, After flop you have a hammer lock on the hand. He procedes to check raise to take the lead. You then re-raise the min??? Why, Are you trying to just build the pot?I think better play would have been to smooth call the re raise on the flop, let him lead out on turn, then jam him there. I think that is the best way to get all his $$ in the the pot.I really think the mini raise hurt, as more often then not mini raises in shorthanded PLO8 scream strength.

Ritschi had been limping 75% of pots. He had about $400, I had $300.What is play here...... easy fold? call? or raise?
  21. I like the action pre flop and on the flop. You are getting your money with great odds to scoop. The turn is very bad card for you, I dont mind the lead but after he raises I would call, check/fold river. What were you trying to accomplish with river bet? Why did you call after the raise? He clearly has either A 4 or 4 7, both of which you can't beat.
  22. I play it same way, with scooping potential of hand you are loosing big equity for not getting as many extra bets in.You have to jam, only 5 cards hurt your hand (unfortunalty 1 came up) IMO you played the hand rather weak tight.
  23. Yes, I have put in many hours with rainaruby. She is very solid
