Tourneys. Nuff said.
-
I can't find that rule.
-
lol, not much of a guarantee then, is it?read the rules. if they want, they don't have to pay the guarantee if they dont get enough players -
Try contacting support, this might be a bug... I'm in the tourney too, just noticed the pool seems to be off...

Big fish in a small pond. Before you can truly be good, you need to learn to stow the ego and that there is always someone better.I said that I had 300 BR on one site, like I said let me tell you again, I am 24 I have not had a job in 3 years, Ive been making my living at poker and at foxwoods....I think I have never played with anyone better than me in my life. I have gone broke, I have lost 10k at blackjack. Im a power poker player who makes power plays in huge pots. I am the best out there, I dominate every table, Ive won 19 straight sessions, I will be in a 10k event and cash within 6 months. I am FCPs best player, I will be on tv and join Daniel with FCP... YOu will all be my fans soon enough.J -
Showing your hand doesn't violate the rule. If the other guy had seen it before and helped with the decision, it would.sure, but the other guy had already shown his hand to someone, thus violating the same rule. was he looking for the guy's read? who knows. -
A hand is not dead in a cash game if you deliberately show it.Since you asked the guy to stop and he didn't and you asked the dealer to tell him to stop and he didn't, and the guy continued to be an *** for the sake of being an *** he got what was coming to him. You could have called the floor to tell him to stop, but in no way is it your responsibility. You were breaching ethics, but in reality his hand should have been declared dead anyhow because he had deliberately shown it to another guy.He lost. You won. -
If I have a runner change a few racks of 1s into hundreds for me, I'll leave a chip on top.

750 or something like that, buyin was 69+6. Thanks!how much did sixth pay out? and what was the buy in? congrats on ur cash! -
You don't have to do either. If you put the right number of chips in, the action is inferred. The only notable exception is the single chip rule (if you put in one chip of a large denomination, you must say raise or it is a call).I also have never played in a room where poker dealers pool tips. That happens frequently in pit games, but I've never seen it in poker.I don't like the fact that I should have to emphatically say "call" or "raise" because when you speak, and inflection in your voice could be giving off a tell. I prefer to stay quiet and utter as few words as possible when I play poker. -
How do you figure?Tell your brother to hold on and call the floor. If you had done so the pot would have been rewarded to your brother without you having to yell out his cards.
Ever played live before? One of the fundamental rules of poker is keep your mouth shut when you are out of the hand.dont listen to these retards that fat ******* wants to show his hand so that everyone sees it then its show one show all he fked himself there. and even so hes like what 35-40 yrs old probably? how many times has he been told not to show his goddamn hand during play u think? he doesnt care so fuk him. -
Out 6th, oh well, got too short to have any leverage.
-
He had the 10 of spades, not the ace.I think it would be different if your brother didn't have the third nuts(4-2 spades being second and 7-9 spades being first). He was going to call either way so you didnt affect your brother's decision which makes it not as bad. Say your brother had 7-4 I can see why the guy would be pissed. Also the fact that its your brother and you werent just some random guy makes it worse, like ur trying to team up against him -
Down to 8 now. Just lost a pretty big pot, so I'm getting short, but wish me luck.
-
I would absolutely not have done what you did. Of course, I would have called a floorman over after the second time he did it, so he might not have done it a third time. Talking during a hand that you're not in is REALLY horrible etiquette and he was quite right to be mad at you (though, he's a dumbass for allowing other people to see his cards while someone is being put to a tough decision).

The guy you were up against was right. If you show someone your cards, you have to show the whole table.I had something happen recently and I was wondering what the ruling is on this. I was in a heads up pot in a NL ring game. I kept firing at a low board with high card ace ( i had A5o). The guy called me down, but folded to my bet on hte river, and mucked his cards face up. He also had A5o. My friend was sitting to my right and quickly flashed him my cards, cause I had outplayed the guy, I dont show them to anyone very often though. The guy who lost got all pissy and yelled..."show one, show all." I mucked them anyways and said thats only if it went to showdown, the hand was over. The dealer didnt say anything. Was i wrong, or did I have to show them? -
Congratulate those guys. They are co-asshats of the month.

Your play was fine, just bad timing. I had a guy yesterday in a tourney raise all in from the small blind, I had KQ and called. He had AA. I couldn't figure out why he raised so much, but I guess he figured it would look like a steal to me and loosen my requirements, which is exactly what happened.

Not if the stacks are deep and/or the players are weak. KJs is a difficult hand to play, but flops like A Q 10 can hit so many different hands that you will almost always get paid off (especially by two pair). In a game with a bunch of bad players, I almost always try to keep the pots small. I'd prefer not to take the lead with a hand like KJ because it is very easy to get trapped.BTW, at the next available opportunity, I move to the other side of the LAG, especially if he raises a lot of hands preflop.Against some opponents, I actually might move in on the flop to make it look like a steal. This sounds like a live game.If the standard raise is 15, you want to limp with KJ and fold to any raise and wait for hands in which you know you're ahead. -
A lot of cardrooms have a third man walking rule where no more than two people can be up from the table at a time.

I agree with a lot of your list, though I wouldn't put Limit Holdem above PLO as far as variance, they aren't even close. Also, NL can have really high variance, and I think that limit actually might have lower variance (I think the reason that we believe limit has high variance is low limit hold 'em, but I don't think that the variance is necessarily that high).Rank them, 1st/top being that of "least" variance that shoudl be experienced by a top player against average players...and try to average full ring/short-handed versions together when you make your decision. I'm interested to see what everyone else thinks. My rank:Omaha Hi-LoStud Hi-LoNL HoldemStud OmahaLimit HoldemShyt on your neighbor -
