At least $12,000, 20,000 would make your life a lot easier though. When I first started playing for a living I had enough of a BR, but not enough set aside for living expenses. There were times when I went through down swings and was a few bad sessions away from going broke. Luckily i came out just fine, but that is not a feeling you want to have, makes playing very difficult. Down swings are brutal, I don't reccomend playing full time until you have beat a game for enough to live off of for over 1 year. Daniel made a very bad call against E-Dog. It seems as though Daniel never folds, he hasn't made a big laydown (that i have seen) in HSP and been correct. The call against E-dog was awful, the only way he could have the best hand is if E-Dog flat called twice to set up a big bluff on the river. There is a 0.01% chance of him doing that with that board. E-Dog know's DN coulda had a big hand there, and he also knows Daniel never folds big hands. DN has made many awful calls in HSP, and it has cost him. And yes I do know he has ran incredibly unlucky, but he had no reason to lose as much

If garuntee 5 pro's at the final table it isn't a poker tournament. Winning a tourney is about all stages of the tourney, you can't garuntee anything except the amount of starting chips each player will get and what the buy in is. You can't say by default theses 5 pro's are at the final table, everyone else is playing for 4 spots. Possibly the dumbest thing i have ever heard. Only a DONK would say something ridiculous like that.

You are an idiot, not one of your ideas could work without ruining the tournament. It wouldn't be as big of a deal to win if 5 pro's were garunteed to make the final table, or there was 200 entrants. The huge field, huge money, and the diverse group of players make the M.E. what it is. Not everybody wants top watch just tops pro's only, the fact that an college student (or anyone) can pay $30 online and wind up making big money is a big part of why poker is so popular today. This tournament isn't going to change durastically anytime in the near future and it shouldn't.

If you play a decent amount then you should have no problem clearing the bonus. your given 3 months to clear it, and it should take no more than 2. I cleared it in a month, despite everyone saying it takes too long. I would reccomend full tilt, and no website is going to give a $600 bonus that can be cleared by low limit players quickly. They would lose too much money and the bonus would no longer exist if it was just given to you.
