Hero has 9d Td (straight, queen high). Outcome: Hero wins $20.60. It is very rare that I am limping in preflop, but I will once in a while to change things up with strong or drawing hands. Please feel free to pick apart all streets of the hand. I think my re-raise on the flop was a little weak, but I feel good about my bet on the turn and river.I took a little grief about my play in the chat after the hand, but over all I liked how I played it. What do you guys think? was it donkish?

  4. thank you all for opining on an unconverted hand, why should anyone convert?you all suck!seriously.
I did not realize this was such a large issue, no one has complained before. In the future I will put effort into finding a converter and posting any HH in a converted format.
  5. This is what happened:trapshot120: raises 990 to 1290 and is all-inInferno: calls 980 and is all-in*** RIVER *** [Kc 5s 4s Kh] [9s]*** SHOW DOWN ***trapshot120: shows [Js As] (a flush, Ace high)Inferno: shows [Ks Jh] (three of a kind, Kings)trapshot120 collected 3210 from potLuckily I put him on a draw and made the call, unfortunatly he hit. I wasn't so sure this was an easy call, thanks for the advise everyone.

  6. Ditto. You HAVE to call this in a $4.40. The play is so bad in those. As an aside I made a final table of one yesterday and ended up finishing 3rd! :club:
Ok, I hear what you are all saying, this is low stakes. Would it change anyones answer if this was a $100 tourney with 180 entrants?
  7. I don't see why he wouldn't reraise on the flop with a stronger hand. Unless he has so played trips and hit a full house (unlikely). I call though. More likely he missed something/has the king with weaker kicker.
I agree, that's half the reason I put him on a draw. The other half is the push on the turn.
  8. Any and all critiques on this hand and how I played it is more than welcome.PokerStars Game #6641519303: Tournament #33758203, $4.00+$0.40 Hold'em No Limit - Level I (10/20) - 2006/10/15 - 10:38:08 (ET)Table '33758203 11' 9-max Seat #2 is the buttonSeat 1: trapshot120 (1500 in chips) Seat 2: Inferno (1490 in chips) Seat 3: hounddog55 (1380 in chips) Seat 4: Potsdamer (1480 in chips) Seat 5: BBRIAN1 (1500 in chips) Seat 6: E-HUT (1400 in chips) Seat 7: Andibundi (1500 in chips) Seat 8: jrpqwerty (1500 in chips) Seat 9: ac000000 (1750 in chips) hounddog55: posts small blind 10Potsdamer: posts big blind 20*** HOLE CARDS ***Dealt to Inferno [Ks Jh]BBRIAN1: folds E-HUT: folds Andibundi: folds jrpqwerty: folds ac000000: folds trapshot120: calls 20Inferno: raises 50 to 70hounddog55: calls 60Potsdamer: folds trapshot120: calls 50*** FLOP *** [Kc 5s 4s]hounddog55: bets 140trapshot120: calls 140Inferno: calls 140*** TURN *** [Kc 5s 4s] [Kh]hounddog55: checks trapshot120: checks Inferno: bets 300hounddog55: folds trapshot120: raises 990 to 1290 and is all-inInferno:.........No reads yet since it is only the second hand, but was fairly certain I was up against a flush draw, although I was a little worried about being up against a better King.So what's the play here? Do we give it up since it is so early in the tournament? Or call figuring that we must be ahead in this pot?

  9. not necessarilyI play within my roll but I am still pissed about losing, especially through a string of bad beats.mental attitude and tolerance has some part in this also.
I agree completely. When I am running bad/not playing well, I will just play 0.02/0.04 tables for a couple days just to loosen up and relax. Even at those stakes, a few bad beats and $5 lost can be upseting. The mental beating you give yourself can be brutal sometimes.
