  1. Why can't you guys play online? This is why online poker exists, to crush through locational barriers. Obviously it's not the same thing, but all could watch this way. Is it because Smash just wants to see if this is a fat chick or not?
  2. Do you guys all fold KQ in early position here like the previous poster? If so, maybe that's where I'm going wrong.
  3. I agree with the majority. Raise 3x BB, continuation bet, then slow down if necessary. I believe Doyle Brunson addresses your math question in SS 1. I think he says if everyone has folded to him, he is less agressive because somebody has to have somethin'. Of course, I don't agree, but I'm down about $30 in my career and he's up a few.
  4. After reading that, I'm immediately sending my picture to Jennifer Harmon.
  5. From what I understand, Phil Ivey doesn't have off days. By that logic, something else happened yesterday. Reading cardplayer it seemed like he bet and then was reraised and forced to fold almost every time. Not real Ivey-like.
  6. I need a picture from last night to make a proper judgement, but the picture in my mind says she looked hot.
  7. Raymer call- I think that call might set him up for later. I think a player in front of him may think twice about trying to steal his blinds with a garbage hand when he's projecting the image he will call you.
  8. Howard Gone. Frankenstein no longer lives.
  9. Come on. A lot of people think Harrington's back-2-back final table accomplishment is the greatest ever. If Raymer wins it all again, it's one of the greatest accomplishments ever-not just in poker. It's almost statistically impossible given the luck factor. I can't understand why people dog this guy. He is a gentleman player with A LOT of skill. Andrew Feldman stated yesterday he is the best big stack player in the game today. Yes, even better than the Golden Boy, Ivey. I am miffed by the fact that people rag on Raymer, but will defend Dutch Boyd and Matusow at all costs. Makes no se
  10. I thought we already established as a fact Dutch Boyd lied? That's not really even defendable. I don't really care enough about Dutch Boyd to continue this argument, however. Let him spin his chips all tournament. I hope he wins and keeps all the money, or better yet, open an online poker site with his winnings.
  11. Not his fault necessarily (Which I never used the word fault) , but yes, it's his responsibility to explain any loss of funds to his investors. That's just common sense, not logic.
  12. The fact is when you attach your name to a business, it becomes your responsibility. Period. Every businessman knows that. I would expect a "genius" to know that as well. The solution isn't pay back either. If I stole $500 from you today and 10 weeks later I win the lotto and send you your $500 back, am I a nice guy now?
  13. I agree. I have had issue with one of his past posts, but when I tried to criticize it in a nice way, it became a bash Daniel thread. My opinion is that a lot of people post things just to see their names and this goes from the outragously a$$ kissing to the stupid critisisms. (For example: Daniel only tipped the valet $5?) That's just a stupid criticism. Anyway, I wish him the best in the ME.
  14. I have the Wilson software currently and am not that impressed with it. All indications here is that it's not as good as PAP. Strictly for no-limit use, do you think PAP is better and would you suggest I purchase PAP even though I have Wilson? In other words, is it THAT much better? Thanks for your input.
  15. Chan is really going to be associated with this guy? I find that surprising and depressing.
  16. Couple of quick comments. First off, I can't understand how the officials running the WSOP (The biggest, most watched poker event in the world) do not have the proper blind structure figured out for their tourneys. It's a little disappointing that they didn't confer with some of the pros BEFORE the tournament started. That being said however, I have noticed everyone commending Daniel on his poise and demeanor. I like his blog because he is honest, but honesty usually brings critisism, so here it goes: A couple of posts ago he said he was going to take some time off and only play when he wan
  17. My comment was I'd like to see him do well. Nowhere did I specify he hasn't in the past. The point is, people like Moneymaker and Raymer are probably more well known to the casual player than Ivey, so, yeah, I'd like to see him do well to become more mainstream and marketable.
  18. Seems to me that when the majority of the pros are asked who is the best all around player, they all point to Ivey. I'd like to see him do well in the Main Event, though. Lately poker players are becoming more and more like other pro "athletes" by complaining about the celebrity and buy in/prize structure. Just Play The Game.
  19. A while back there was the push to make poker an olympic sport. With the right structure and game mixture, this could be exciting, but I'm sure the IOC would screw that up. It's not a terrible idea, considering some of the sports currently in the olympics. (speed walking, trampolines, etc.)More to the point, though, if you can drink a beer while playing, it's a game-poker qualifies-golf is on the fringe because you can drink between shots, but not while actually playing. You can't dink in football, baseball, basketball, etc making those sports.
  20. I am faced with a similar situation. I play a lot of low stakes sng tourneys and seem to find myself taking home second place more often than I'd like. I'm not sure if I lose focus after surviving so long or I need more experience head to head. I seem to be all in more than necessary. If anyone has any general NL advice for heads up, I'd love to hear it. I struggle even with a chip lead and usually there is a significant disparity between 1st and 2nd place cash.
  21. I gotta tell you, I think Ice has it right on the head. The tournament should only be entered by those who qualify through satellietes. This reduces the number of rich people with no skill, although they can enter satellites as often as they want, and I think this would cretae some competition among the pros as well. Can you imagine someone like Hellmuth losing 5 or 6 satellites and starting to sweat over not qualifying? That makes good tv.I realize this will never happen because of Binion tradition, but I think it would raise the level of play in the main event.
  22. What site are these lines available at? I want some of this action.
  23. Sorry to ask, but I cannot find any history on Daniel & Annie online. Anyone have any links?
