  1. ... when you break up with your girlfriend and in order to convince yourself to let go, you tell yourself "well, it's like having 2 black aces in the hole, and there are 5 diamonds on the board, it's time to fold"
  2. Sexton needs to stop saying "he can't put him on an ace because HE DIDN"T RAISE BEFORE THE FLOP". He says that every freaking time!!!!!!!!!!!!! Does he not realize that not everybody raises hands like A3 or A6?
  3. Go all-in. Let them make the decisions. You've got the best hand and if you push in you've done your job, let them make the mistakes. You really just want 1 opponent when you have aces. Maniac will most probably call you.
  4. I play about twenty $50+5 S&Gs a day, 5 days a week. Every time my account on Stars has more than 20 buy-ins ($1100) at the end of any given day, i cash out whatever amount above $1100. I've never had to reload my account since I started playing seriously, so i'd say that 20 x buy-ins is a pretty safe number if you think you are a decent player.
  5. I'm in the WSOP shootout too, just multitable.
  6. I went out 38th with an unbelievable hand:I had about 1200 total, raised it to 300 (blinds 50/100) with JJ, 2 callers.Flop: 9 x xi get 900 left to i go all-in, got called by someone holding trip 9s.Turn: JI hit the miracle turn, and can only lose to an 1 outer, needless to say...River: 9
  7. I'm there tonight too, already registered. I'm glad I'll finally get to play with you guys. :-)
  8. Wow, I remember playing this guy yesterday on Paradise. Beat him in two $20 headsup S&G. I could see that he was very frustrated with the game, telling me that I was lucky for going all-in shortstack with A2vs KQ and hitting an ace on the flop. I didn't talk to him once though. Everytime he called me lucky was from hands in which i went all-in with the best hands and they held up.I do feel kinda bad that he is leaving the game because of financial problems. Sometimes I forget that there's a real person on the other side, some with deep financial problems because of the game.
  9. One more question: How easy is it to clear the $500 bonus from Noble Poker? How many total $.5/1 hands approximately do you have to play to clear it?
  10. What is this "upgrade promotion" you are talking about?
  11. But what's the point of calling off his last 770 with only Ace high and no cards to come? I understand someone doing this on a $5 S&G, but $200?
  12. So I was playing a $200 NL Headsup S&G at Pokerstars today and this hand baffled me. Can anyone explain to me why someone would throw away $200 like this?Table '8356948 1' One on One Seat #2 is the buttonSeat 1: Patsfan001 (1510 in chips) Seat 2: Me (1490 in chips) Me: posts small blind 10Patsfan001: posts big blind 20*** HOLE CARDS ***Dealt to Me [Q:club: T:club:]Me: calls 10Patsfan001: raises 20 to 40Me: calls 20*** FLOP *** [T:spade: J:spade: 2:heart: ]Patsfan001: checks Me: bets 80Patsfan001: calls 80*** TURN *** [T:spade: J:spade: 2:heart:] [4:diamond:]Patsfan001: checks Me: bets
