That's why Doyle, Chip, Johnny, Daniel, Barry plays something similar to HORSE in the Big Game...cash games with horse would make no sense, cash games with dealers choice would be awesome, and I hope fulltilt adds them soon -
Blackjack is and will always be -EVAgreed. PS new tournies are pretty nice. But I'm impressed with the stuff PP has been doing as well. Blackjack has been good to me. -
I understand maybe making that play on the button, trying to steal the blinds, but UTG??? it was still about 3 -4 hours away from making the money, what's the point of bluffing most of your stack like that?
I uh...I...I sensed weakness. YEAH! That's it....no, wait....I uh, had a feeling. No, I was trying to make a play, that's it. Doyle said that the key to no limit was to put a man to a decision for all his chips, so, uh...yeah. I'm good.

gg, see you the next time i play one of thesebusted..tried to squeeze with 66 and I got called. folds to the CO who makes it 350 the previously mentioned loose calling station called the raise from the button I have 66 in the BB and I only have 2500 in chips, the pot was 850 so I pushed, the CO folds and the button immediately calls w/ JJ. bleh. btw. exact same situation came up 2 rounds before when I only had 2k .. CO raises 400 loose dude calls SB calls the flop comes AQx and it gets checked till the river, loose guy had J8 CO had 22.. so .. I guess i shouldve pushed it then instead :-)..oh well, off to UB. -

1) When the flop comes 3 of the same suit, someone rechecking their cards and then making a call most probably means they are on a flush draw. By the way, never do this, always make sure you remember your cards BEFORE the flop comes.2) Heavy breathing when they go all-in. Most of the time, if you someone has the nuts, the look relaxed and their breathing is normal. There are exceptions of course.

If they don't start it at this time, it would not end until tomorrow when the sun comes up.Bah! Damn the west coast! I'm still at work. Good luck to you. -
It started 10 min ago. Good luck to you all. When does this start? I might have to teach you folks a lesson......or get my ass handed to me in the first round. -
My 5th try on these events. I'll be very pissed if I still can't cash today. Who else is in it?SN: Amélie

Minimun raises are inexcusable. Every time I see someone do this i'm thinking "donkey". I understand doing it headsup when the blinds are high. But in a 5-handed table it will accomplish nothing except building a big pot you won't be able to get away from. Most people with Ax will call that raise, especially the blinds, then what are you going to do when an A flops?

It's already dumb enough to think like you do, but to actually post it here? Humanity is doomed.
-
Yeah, he was wearing the rings and the 2003 World Poker Open main event bracelet. Actually, he was very polite and wasn't condescending at all.
-
Exactly
yes but he impressed his hot date, as well as all of the other players at the table, which is more important to him than a measly $200 I suspect.Sounds to me like he sucks. He managed to talk to guys out of calling when he had the best hand. -
So last night I was playing the $200 NL at the Bicycle Casino and around 2am I see David "Devilfish" Ulliot walk into the casino with this hottie and they decide to take the 2 empty seats on my table, which already had NBA journeyman center Olden Polynice playing in it too.Anyhooters, Devilfish's table presence is tremendous and I did get to see how in a totally difference level the real pros are. In one hand he flops a set of 3's and on the river, with a board of 3 5 6 A T with no flush possibilities, he bets $100 into a $200 pot, and while the other 2 players in the pot are thinking about calling, Devilfish says "well, I think you got an A7 that you are not too happy about, and I would say this other guy has AJ". They both smile and fold right away, one showing A7, the other showing AQ.Good times...
-
I'm out too. Limped with AJ from MP, 4-way pot. Flop: A K 5, 2 clubs, i bet close to pot size, guy behind me calls, i put him on a flush draw, BB calls too. Turn is another 5, no club, i bet 1400 leaving me with 1700, guy behind calls again, BB goes all-in, I call because i don't have many chips left, plus I figure no one hit a set because of the two 5s out there, and AA or KK or even AK would have raised before the flop when there was 3 limpers. So even if someone had AQ, we would just chop the pot. Sure enough, BB had AK.Played 3 of these, haven't cashed once, sad....
-
Queens full i guess?just gave a guy a massive stack....I shouldve been able to lay down myAA .,..but I didnt and Im bust.AA in EP I raise it to 250 big stack to my immidiate left re-raises the minimum,, so I put him on KK, button cold calls (AQ? AK? JJ-10's?) I make it 1200 hoping the big stack would push his k's ..he calls (so now i got him on Q's maaaybe J's) so does the button. the flop is Q rag rag two to a flush. I bet 2500 so i'm left w/ 7,500 ish he smooth calls..that really scared me but whe can I do? the pot was already 7k on the turn the board pairs and I think about it and just decide to push...I dunno if I couldve played it differently? I couldve bet 4000 and been left with a 3 k stack..I guess. but im not sure. ok, im ranting.. off to another tourney i guess. -
I'm going for the revenge too!! SN: Amélie
-
I'm out. Had close to 10K, lost a 12k pot with AKs to QQ, then lost a flopped set to runner runner straight, and finally JJ vs KK.
-
Chip count is 8k right now, had only 1 good hand so far: AK and doubled up when i was down to 3500
