I think they are starting at 6 eastern but there is a half hour or so delay so it may not be up just yet.

Just won a 213,000 dollar pot. Sick.Got it all in on the flop with quads, had the guy drawing to a running straight flush.Phil Ivey gets it in goooooood.

Why did they give you 40 bucks? I haven't recieved any email and I play on Party nearly every day.
-
I haven't played full ring for quite some time but when I did I almost always raised with it. Folding is the safe play and you don't lose much but like Actuary said it's more fun to play hands.
-
I rarely bet fold myself but I've been thinking about when to work it in and this spot seemed like a reasonable spot so I gave it a shot.

Very interesting responses from everyone. As Screech said this decision is pretty player dependent so there are probably plenty of ways to approach the hand. I'm not really sure which is best actually but it's interesting to get the different viewpoints.I'll post the results in white in case anyone wants to respond without seeing them.Villian had A6

Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (4 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cxPreflop: Hero is SB with A , 7 . 2 folds, Hero raises, BB calls.Flop: (4 SB) K , 6 , 7 (2 players)Hero bets, BB raises, Hero calls.Turn: (4 BB) 2 (2 players)Hero checks, BB bets, Hero calls.River: (6 BB) 2 (2 players)Hero bets...Final Pot: 8 BBRiver is a bet fold. Is this any good? And if it is why? Because I pretty much decided to do it on a whim which probably isn't the best. With a safe turn and river I figured he might have a king but probably would be hard pressed to raise with it but if I checked he would b

It's been said but I just call the turn check raise. I call it down incase he has something like 910 or if he is very loose and limped in with 103 or 93 suited. Unlikely hands for a limper but I've ran up against players who play pretty much any two cards and peel with any pair so you never know. Most of the hands check raising here have you beat, better two pair or a flopped straight are possible. If the river is a blank and he checks would you put him on a big draw at that point and bet? I'm not sure if I would bet or just check behind.
-
I think I just call...but that makes me feel like a *****. Still he has shown a ton of strength and both 88 and 44 are reasonable hands for a limper UTG. He could have also have QQ and hit a set on the turn...the way he played the turn is tricky and almost makes me thinks he has that. You can always hope he is just a maniac and going nuts with two pair or even less but I think I just call to be safe.
-
Can someone explain some of the things to look for when trying a stop N go? I've always felt that I've never really used them much at all and am not sure the appropriate time. The only time I can think of is when I bet get raised with a possible draw so I just call to see the turn and if it doesn't hit I fire again. Other than that I don't use it at all.
-
I'm with everyone else on this one, check/call. Bet and calling I think is OK against certain opponents who you think could definitely be raising two lesser pair but I think check call is standard.
-
I just check behind. It's a pretty terrible card and if he was just calling down with KQ or KK then you're done. If he was calling you down with a low pocket pair or a bad jack take note and make sure to value bet more against him.I also fold preflop.
-
I'm throwing that one away. Taking preflop and flop action into account UTG could easily have AK or AA, although that would make for all the aces out which is a little less likely. And even if UTG is just screwing around SB has woken up and I'd put him on two pair or a set....maybe I give people to much credit though.
-
Flop: I almost always bet with open trips, even on a draw free board low limit players always find something to chase and I like to make them pay. I don't think slowplaying is terrible though...I just tend not to do it, I like to build the pot if possible, if everyone just folds well then whatever.Turn: Plays differently if you bet most likely but as played on the flop I play this turn the same.River: I play it the same but this is where a read is handy. If you know this guy is aggresive preflop and will raise with AJ then you can put some more bets in because he limped, pocket 4's is a c

You don't want to bring people in and try and get a pot started with a big draw? Do you try and raise to isolate and then take a free card? I'm not saying I think it's a bad play, in fact that would be my standard play but I think my line is also good. It is, as I said my standard play would be to raise, calling and then three betting is pretty rare.Like Zach said I think I do pick up some fold equity with this move, if the raiser has a weak or marginal jack he may let it go, if someone called then 3 bet against me I'd be think a set is pretty likely.

SB is a donk who will call down with quite a few hands, he could easily have an nine, eight or five. No read on MP, I put him on a straight draw but haven't played many hands with him.Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (5 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cxPreflop: Hero is BB with 9 , 8 . I don't raise preflop but I don't think its terrible. Flop, turn, and river are all very standard and 100% correct as far as I can tell. Exactly how I would have played it.

Sounds very cool, looking forward to starting this thing up.

I'd be willing to give it a try, sounds like fun and would certainly be good for my game. -
are party poker 6-max tables for real?
RiverSense replied to Breaking Liberty's topic in Other Poker Cash Games
In order to play the 6 max tables you have to be very honest with yourself and be disciplined to take some bad beats and stay level headed. The players there are awful and the tables are very profitable but the swings can be terrible. If you're running bad expect to be down a pretty decent amount, you just have to be able to work through the beats and the suckouts and keep putting the money in with the best of it.Best of luck.
