  1. I made a thought out call and won with ****ing jack high people. Enough with this dead horse topic. Back to my 2nd place finish. This story plays so obv. Bob is legit. Fcp is legit. Player qualms are legit. Repetitive conversations are lame. That said the point about anything that infers dn "might show up" needing to go is spot on. The prize issue is legitimate circumstance...the notion that dn might pay is just false advertising.......now back to hero calls itt plz
QFT. Doubt MSP's superuser account is legit tho.
Nah I don't mind. If I was facing a world class bubbler like myself I'd want to get me out too :club:.
    FYP :ts
  2. Posted by request. Soul read obv. If you will (he still defeated me btw), what was the thought on the river bet size? It seemed you had set the table with a perfect PSB, equal to effective stacks. Then you fired out a 1/2 bet on the river. Just very curious. Good game all. Great heads up buddy. Enjoyed it, even in defeat.PokerStars Game #55439663106: Tournament #345122700, $10+$1 USD Hold'em No Limit - Level X (400/800) - 2011/01/05 22:40:10 CT [2011/01/05 23:40:10 ET]Table '345122700 1' 9-max Seat #5 is the buttonSeat 1: seacucumber1 (46401 in chips) Seat 5: MaxStPolish (25599 in chips) seacucumber1: posts the ante 75MaxStPolish: posts the ante 75MaxStPolish: posts small blind 400seacucumber1: posts big blind 800*** HOLE CARDS ***Dealt to MaxStPolish [Js 3h]MaxStPolish: calls 400seacucumber1: checks *** FLOP *** [2h 4s Ac]seacucumber1: checks MaxStPolish: bets 800seacucumber1: calls 800*** TURN *** [2h 4s Ac] [Kd]seacucumber1: checks MaxStPolish: bets 2400seacucumber1: raises 4375 to 6775MaxStPolish: calls 4375*** RIVER *** [2h 4s Ac Kd] [Ks]seacucumber1: bets 9775MaxStPolish: calls 9775*** SHOW DOWN ***seacucumber1: shows [9c 8d] (a pair of Kings)MaxStPolish: shows [Js 3h] (a pair of Kings - Ace+Jack kicker)MaxStPolish collected 36450 from pot*** SUMMARY ***Total pot 36450 | Rake 0 Board [2h 4s Ac Kd Ks]Seat 1: seacucumber1 (big blind) showed [9c 8d] and lost with a pair of KingsSeat 5: MaxStPolish (button) (small blind) showed [Js 3h] and won (36450) with a pair of Kings
If the river card didn't pair the K I would've been more likely to put a PSB for maximum pressure but I thought it was a bad card to shove on. I imagined that your most likely holdings were Kx, 4 or Q high so I thought the 1/2 PSB would work as well as a PSB if u didn't have a K (and when you do I would lose less). When you called I was almost 100% sure that you had a pair of 4 only to find out that I got totally pwned :club: (would've been even more hof if I had J5o instead :ts) GG all and great HU battle Max!
  3. I don't mind lowering the buy-in but I don't think that will increase the number of entrants significantly. If we could get DN to play once or twice a quarter I think that will generate more traffic both to NegO and FCP (especially if it's also advertised/promoted/approved by PokerStars). Perhaps DN could play in the TOC at the end of each quarter like the old days? Also in favor of 8 Games over HORSE.

If it were an hour later I would be more likely to play. But then, no one else would have a chance to win, so maybe that's not "good for the game".
Register in advance and you should still have 50~66% of the starting stack (if it remains at 3k) even after an hour worth of blinds. This would allow you to play in NegO but with a 1/2 to 2/3 stack which should give the rest of us a better chance. Win-Win situation imo :club:
  4. The $50 for 3000 VPPs is up in the VIP Store already and I did my conversion.
Wouldn't it be better value to play the 6-man 280FPPs hyper turbo SNGs? As long as we finish in the top 3 places about 5 out of 10 times (which is the expected value of a randomized placement out of 6 players), the hyper turbo should be a better value I think.
  5. well i'm not zach :3h i found this spreadsheet cuz it was the second google result :club: and boem jackpot great spreadsheet :ts only got one problem with it and that is the hour thing :5c still couldnt figure out how i must do it :/
    stop leveling, zach
Obviously this can't possibly be Zach since his post with four sentences only contained 1 typo :4h Great spreadsheet indeed though and I have been using it for 3+ years.
  6. Just received the following e-mail today:Thank you for writing to me regarding Internet gambling. I appreciate you taking the time to contact me on this important topic, and I welcome the opportunity to respond. There is no doubt that the Internet and related technologies have had a remarkable effect on the U.S. economy in recent years. The flow of commerce on the Internet has enhanced American industry's ability to distribute goods economically and efficiently. The continuing development of this technology in California has provided hundreds of thousands of new, well-paying jobs, and I am committed to strengthening online commerce and preserving and expanding this vital job base. While the advent of the Internet has its benefits, I believe the same cannot be said for Internet-based gambling. Internet gambling has become too easily accessible to minors, subject to fraud and criminal misuse, and too easily used as a tool to evade state gambling laws. I understand your thoughts on internet gambling, and as you may be aware, I have supported legislation aimed at curbing Internet gambling during my tenure in the Senate. For example, I supported the SAFE Port Act, passed into law as Public Law 109-347, which included the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006.Please know that I have read your letter with interest and value your thoughts. While we do not necessarily agree on this particular topic, be assured that I will certainly keep your thoughts in mind should this issue come before me during the 111th Congress.Again, thank you for your letter. I hope you will continue to keep me informed on issues of importance to you. If you should have any additional comments or questions, please feel free to contact my Washington, D.C. staff at (202) 224-3841. Best regards.Sincerely yours,Dianne FeinsteinUnited States Senator

  7. Earlier today the House Financial Services Committee held its hearing on the Internet Gambling Regulation bill introduced by Barney Frank. Amongst those who spoke at the hearing were bankers, casino proprietors, a law enforcement/anti-terrorist consultant, and Annie Duke (who represented the Poker Players Alliance). For those interested, the Poker Player Alliance's website has a recording of the hearing:Poker Player Alliance
