  1. Not sure if it is Gold or not, but it is definitely someone the pros think is a huge donk. When he shows up, there are instantly 4 or 5 'red' names on the table within minutes.. I've never seen all the sharks show up so quickly. If it is Chad Brown, this would make sense. I've played a lot of stud with him in the past and he would certainly be out of his element against them in that game, and I imagine most of the other games.
  2. I have never seen a short-handed "max 6 player game" per se, but at some of the higher stakes you may find that the tables never fill up, particularly during off times. However, at anything less than 10-20 NL or higher, the tables will almost always have a full 9-10 players.
  3. If you're planning on playing poker most of the time and are only there for a week or less, stay at the Rio. Convenience, decent rates, etc. If you're staying for the entire month+ rent a house or something. If you are planning on spending lots of time not playing poker, then stay on the strip.
  4. He seem to do very well in Tunica. Obviously the food. Conversion time?
  5. What is B2B? What are the blinds for the PL stud game? Sounds interesting! Thanks.
  6. Is there one available anywhere? I heard this was an amazing tournament performance.Thanks-Jeff
  7. Anyone else going for all/most of July? I am booked at Rio from July 7-Aug 10, but thinking if there are a few people doing the same, or people looking for more roomates at a house, that would probably be a hell of a lot cheaper and more fun.
  8. Sounds like a hell of a job. Now hook me up with some golf while I'm out there for WSOP month!!!!
  9. I'm not sure how you'd define a 'big winner' over a 'moderate winner', but I'm +$32,000 cash games and +$69,000 tournaments over the past year in part-time play (I have a business and full-time job). So I am a big winner by my standards. But maybe I am just riding some upward variance curve .
  10. I know absolutely nothing about your play obviously, I actually think your %cashing rate is sustainable, but getting 1st or 2nd everytime you cash like you have been the last while obviously isn't.I hardly play online tournaments other than the big ones on dise anymore since the cash games are so juicy, but your numbers don't seem out of the realm. But probably not a great hourly wage as others have indicated .
  11. Am I missing something or do you have like $3000 in winnings? Not trying to insult, just from the reaction it looks like you are posting some awesome results, so I'm not sure if I am reading tournament reporter wrong or what I am doing.Cheers.
  12. Who all plans on playing in events this year? Would be great to meet up for a bash during then.
  13. Here's a thought - assuming he has a read that this guy is a TAG player capable of re-raising and then folding with his tournament life on the line, he probably figured there were four hands he would call with, and he happened to have one of them. He probably built his stack up in the first place making plays like this. I agree he often appears donkish on final tables, but there is no question he is doing something right to consistently make his way deep.
