I think that's a bad idea. What attracts a lot of people to the game is the fighting. I personally couldn't care less if fighting was allowed or not, but if the rule changes are designed to get more people to become fans, the fighting rules are headed in the wrong direction.

I am a big fan of the new rules. I think the NHL is going to need to make the games more exciting (more scoring) for casual fans to want to watch it. The lifelong fans will enjoy it no matter what, but the league won't survive without the casual fans. My only concern is that the new emphasis on scoring will turn the NHL into Major League Baseball, where homeruns are more exciting than seeing a pitcher's duel for nine innings.I for one prefer to see a great defensive game than a great offensive game.

The entries will definitely go down soon. In the next two years I see the WSOP Main Event attendance to be about 4,900 and 4,400, respectively. After that, it's back to the good old days where that elusive thing called skill will win out.I hate TV poker players.

He would have raised AK preflop, so you can be sure he doesn't have Ak. You can be pretty sure he either had Q9s, Q8s, or possibly JT,Q10, or KQ. I wouldn't want him to see 4th street without paying a heavy price, because there is a chance he has A-rag of spades and could hit a king for a higher straight or a flush if he has a flush draw. That is a good flop for you, but it is dangerous as hell if someone is playing back at you.

Which bonus is easier to clear playing .25/.50 and .50/1 three tabling?

Nvm. I got it.Level 12, hardest level yet, lol.

11=hardest level yet. The source code has nothing in it. The picture is an oven, but wtf?

Thanks Dutch!

Haha. You are the next Stu Ungar? You should see how shitty a hand you can win with against him.

I don't like leaving, either. Today, I made 30 bucks in about 10 minutes at a .50/1 table. I could have quit right there up about 20 bucks for the day, but I didn't and I kept playing. I played for about three more hours and cashed out about 10 dollars down, lol. I guess shit happens.

Eh. I guess you just ran into someone who knows how you play, or he is a cheater.

Dutch! Please help me with 8.

Got to level 8. I figured everything out for level 8, but how the hell do I download that song?

I stand corrected.

Eh. Fold. With that hand you are trying to flop a flush draw or a flush. You got no piece of that, so fold. When your plan for a hand doesn't come together, you need a new plan. Your plan was to make a flush and you can't do that, so fold and move on.

I see what you're saying.I'm just trying to say that if you think you are a good enough player to deserve to be voted in, then you shouldn't have any trouble playing your way in. I say there are a few players that should definitely be in, and a whole bunch of others that are difficult to put into a top 25. I say some people should be guaranteed in, and the rest of us should play the qualifiers for the other 15-20 spots. I definitely think that I am one of the top 25 tournament players here, and I should be in, but not too many people know me well enough to vote me in, so I will play my way in.I still vote for open tournament, but I feel confident enough to not be scared about a qualifier.

www.pokerchipmart.com has good chips if you are on a budget. They aren't the good clay ones like you would see in a casino, but most people don't want to spend the money to get the good ones. I have played with most of the chips on that site, and I prefer the 9g "Real Clay" ones. They are pretty good to feel and they sound awesome. If you don't care about the price, go with some very nice (.80-.90 a chip) clay ones. For cards, Copag and Kem are the best by far. I like my Copags and the replacement card program has come in handy for me. Go to www.ontiltcasinogear.com for a good deal on a T-Shirt/Copag package.

I agree. I don't think that post count or popularity should matter. All of the people on this list are great posters and are also great players, but some people are much better at tournament poker than they are at cash games and others are better at the opposite. If the tournament isn't open to everyone it isn't truly a forum vs. forum tournament, it turns into a "student council vs. student council" tournament. Remember in school, who always one the vote? The popular kids, not the kids that wanted it the most or deserved it the most. I say open tournament or a qualifier.People that are saying that a run of bad luck would prevent them from winning the qualifier aren't thinking about the fact that you could just as easily have a run of bad luck in the real tournament and therefore be useless to the team. If someone wins the qualifier because they are running hot, I would rather have them in the real tournament so that they could continue to run hot.If people are getting cold-carded, then they probably won't get much done in the real tournament, so I say run 3 qualifiers and take the final table from each of them, or make it an open event.
This is a terrible list. This is the reason it would need to be a panel.Renae? Nikki? Why? Because you want to have girl represntatives? Other than that I don't know why....Show me some tournament results. (I have seen Marion do well)Jweb said he won't play, and doesn't play tons of tournaments anyway, although I want him there if he wants to be.Wrto admits he hates tourneys and doesn't play a lot of them.Smash also never plays and isn't very good at them.I don't hear about XxEddie playing lots of them, but I don't know for sure. AllinBluff, while a good strat contributer, and one of the people I talk to on this forum, doesn't play a ton of them either. Although I know he knows what he's doing, and probably plays more than he used to.And some omissions that should be in there. DDudley, LAPoker, PogueMahone, X3000gtX.
Probably Hoosieralum as well.
I think I remember seeing PogueMahone own the first few Negreanu opens, - probably a good choice, probably LApoker as well. Here are some I think (pardon my bad spelling of names) should go, granted some might not want too: KDawg Zimmer Custom36 XXXeddie akishore econ tim absolute allinbluff35 wroto (idiotbocs) smash suited up jaysonweber fryer ranae nikki marion just blaze iveyfan elkang steve7stud -
I say Full Tilt's structure is as good as any other site. Also, I only play there, so I voted for Full Tilt.

How big are the tournaments?

Eh. If the table is fairly typical, there isn't a lot of checkraising going on, so their checks on the river probably mean weakness. If that's the case you should go ahead and bet. However, if you have seen some checkraising or some above-average play from either of these two, then check the river and see what's up, it's possible they were both on the spade draw. I would probably bet the river, because they will call with hands that you have beat, and only raise with hands that you can't beat. If they have the straight, then they will raise and you will know it. If they don't have the straight, but have a hand like A-rag, they will call.
-
That's why I asked him if they were super loose and aggressive or super loose and passive. If they were aggressive then go ahead and play. But a lot of players will just check/call until they hit their hand and then bet. They are the easiest to read. So, you need a read on the player before you can decide. All three options can be argued without a read. But with a good read, there is only one choice.Hey Matt, do me a favor and post the results of the hand. I'm pretty interested.

No. Definitely don't fold the turn. You were getting 12:1 on your nut flush draw and an inside royal flush draw. If you make the flush it is almost certainly good, and if you make the royal, well, I guess you could settle for a straight flush.
