  1. No.He goes to the cage and asks for a million in chips, all $1.And three burly dudes to carry em.
  2. In regards to the family "facts" article, I am reminded of a truism my father always used to say. There are 3 types of lies. Lies, Damn lies, and statistics.
  3. Look for an affiliate with BetOnBet, a pokernetwork skin. I know of a couple that can get you 30% rakeback.EDIT: ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ what he said.
  4. Probably. Unless one of your opponents has 55, in which case you're losing your whole stack/doubling them through, everybody here is drawing to 1/2 outs.
  5. Zoot rocks. I want to go back and face the peril.
  6. I love that the last couple of pages have been posts talking like he's dead or something. Farrell lives on, in our hearts, minds, and the open folding master I played with last night (open folded 10 times in 104 hands, 3 times from the BUTTON). So remember, when you're in the BB and totally miss the flop in a multi way pot, Farrell is looking down on you and screaming "FOLD!!!oneoneone!!"
  7. Going by the rule of thumb of don't play a hand if you can't get to the nuts isn't bad for beginners. Check out the omaha forums, there's some very good stuff in there.EDIT: Echoing what Turd said, welcome to the dark side
  8. Exactly. JJ73 on that flop IS the inferior hand. Nobody who has played omaha any at all bets with naked top pair or less unless they have big draws with it. And you don't want to be calling, much less raising, with basically just a runner runner draw to a really bad low.I'm leaning towards Ted Lawson taking over someone's body and misreading the board right now.
  9. Alright then, get a hooker and keep playing. At least your mind can wander to something fun
  10. I like the idea of taking a day off. Even a weekend. Take some time, hop in the car, and go somewhere for the weekend. Get a hooker or something. Do something other than poker. Poke her, even. Come back Monday and kick azz.
  11. results are meaningless. Itwas a bad , Matasou-caliber donkey play.
  12. That's the dumbest thing I have ever heard.lol me too. Before last years FT, name 1 person you had heard of before the broadcasts started, other than Harrington. Arieh? No. Raymer? no. Williams? no. Krux? Doubt it. Dean? Heck no. This show MAKES stars, it doesn't showcase them. That's what the preview events are for.
  13. I thought it was funny, I was trying to continue the joke. Ah well.
  14. Either there's something you felt that can't be defined in a hand history, or you're seeing monsters under the bed. There's nothing in there that says set to me. He raised PF, you reraised and checked to him. He probably puts you on AK or AQ that missed. If he has a set, he played it poorly, giving you a chance to make your straight draw if that's what you raised with. Can't be afraid of monsters and play NL.
  15. mere silliness. Ignore him.Fold the turn. No, seriously. Your journey continues, young snapper. Soon your transformation to bluegill will be complete, then on to the predators. As for your question, you learn the aggression and value part of the game faster at s/h tables. Starting hand selection tends to be better honed at full tables. It sounds like you are learning, and progressing. Just don't expect 500BB runs every time.
  16. Toe was bad. (OESFD and 3rd nut FD)sawadicap was okayish, still bad.The Killer was massively bad.Yours was as bad as anybody. If you thought you were good, why no raise? Once it came back to you after the last all in, I think you had odds. Did you think your opponent would check the turn if he boated up? Just not sure you played this right.
  17. You're right, but still the little comment as he's rolling out his chips was inane and out of line. Brutal.
  18. Reraising and folding to an all in is crazy talk. If you reraise from 900 to say 1800 (which is a little small) you're only leaving yourself with 1500+ chips. You're totally committing yourself right there. I do agree cold calling here might not be the best play, but it leaves us room to get away if we see a bad flop. As it was, it worked out.
  19. Nobody can have 88, our hero has one in the hole. They're drawing to runner runner quads. You might try a min raise here. Keeps people in, while building the pot. And maybe somebody pots it over the top of you, then you're in great shape.
