  1. Sorry, computer illiterate and not sure how to hand history & converter..10/.25 NL (6 max) on AbsoluteHero - $27Villain A - $9.50 (typical low-limit donk as far as I can tell)Villain B - $60 (solid, tight aggressive)Pre FlopFour callers. Hero picks up AA in the big blind. Raise to .75. Villains A & B call from middle position.Flop - 9d, 10h, 6c ($2.60)Hero bets $2. Villain A goes all-in for $6.75 more. Villain B calls. Hero???In hindsight, I probably should have raised a dollar or more Pre-Flop with all the limpers, but what do you guys think about the play on the flop?

  2. For reasons that would take way too long to explain, I can no longer use Neteller. So, has anyone found epassporte to be a reasonable alternative? What are people's experience with epassporte? Is it easy to deposit/withdraw from, etc? Also, why do most poker sites not deal with PayPal? Or am I just blind? I would be open to checking them out as well.

  3. which is why I like to fire turns.. in order to deter people from calling flop and therefore making it easier to pick up small pots.
When employing this stratagy, do you generally bet the flop to build the pot knowing that you'll bet the turn also?Or, do you find that checking the flop, then betting the turn works more effectively?
  4. And just for the record:Against jason's wife, I had her down to like 3 big blinds, and came back to get AA two hands in a row with me having very playable hands each time, yadda yadda.  Against Jen, I think I was trying to run her over ( did I seriously try to run over JENNIFER HARMAN? ), so she was getting in extra bets when she had it cause she knew I would bet / raise etc.  She was also running lucky though.  The last hand we both had flushes and hers was bigger etc.  I think in one game anybody can win, but I know for a fact if we played 100 games she'd still smoke me at least 60-40, so Im not that dissapointed.about the rock paper scisors.. i was mad no one else brought their "gamble" with them.  at least, as much as I would have liked.  We did play HORSE for $5 a shot in daniels backyard ( was there even any grass in his yard? :D ) and I kept getting gayed...id make my shot and EVERYONE would make theirs after me, or someone would make one, everyone would make it but me etc.  Oh well, sock down $5 for horse, and then getting $5 back when I won teh rock paper scisors, -$20 playing Jen, $-100 ( profit... chris lash put up the $100 on me and jason's wife's game ) for her getting lucky , and +$750 for... well I can't say it because it might be incriminating :lol:Anyways it was a weekend of GREAT fun... I'd definatley play Jen different now that i've played her.  I wouldn't lay down, but I think id relax a little bit.  Its hard to run over a good player, and even harder to run over a good player whos running well... but I'll sock that one up to luck and a some stupidity on my part... but next time Jen... you better watch it :club:  I got it all figured out how I'll beat you :):D:)... I hope :D
I think this needs to be moved to the Bad Beat forum. :)
  5. Yes, to the question about being deepstacked and looking for another place to put your money in: you still move in here.If you're looking for a better place to put your money in, you'll probably be looking for a long time (i.e.- getting bluffed out a lot).

  6. Thanks for all the advice... so if 200 is too little to sit down at a 1-2 NLHE table then how much IS enough? As a matter of fact it will be my first cash game.. played mostly 6-7-8 people tournys and made a censored of money from them.
You said the max is $300? Buy-in for that.As said above, you want to maximize your good hand's profit, and have people covered so you can force them to make a decision for all of their chips.
  7. go get a bank loan and go play with doyle in the big game.just bring your A game
This has gotta be one of the dumbest things i have ever heard in my life..........
Ummm....I thought it was pretty obvious that he was being sarcastic. I also thought it was pretty funny. To the OP: use the search function and find one of the 3 billion threads on bankroll management, that seems to be your main problem. Stepping up before you're ready to withstain the variance swings.
  8. Went camping when I was still in school and we lost a 40 gallon pot. We had to cook our chili in a microwave at a local 7-11Never could find that pot.. its black and has a handle. if you come across it anywhere, let me know
effing hilarious :club: Oh and mine was a $700 pot at $2-5 NL, but I donked it up so I dont wanna share it.
  9. It's pretty much impossible to answer your problem with no stats. (i.e.- # of online hands played, hourly rate at the casinos, etc...)If you are a good player like you say, you will eventually beat low stakes online. You may just be in a run of variance or a downswing or something. You cannot take anything from just a few hundred or a few thousand hands.Give much less credit to players and maybe post some hand histories in the Stratagy forum here.

  10. He also made this pointless proposition:I have a proposition bet for anyone interested: You pick who you believe are the 10 best players in the world, and I'll give you even money that none of them makes the final table of the main event by the time the 2012 London Olympics conclude. If anyone takes him up on this they should never be allowed to have money again.

  11. I'll keep an open mind on this as I'm no expert in poker theory.I do concede that I forgot to take the size of the pot into consideration, but (and I am clearly showing my newb status here) why then is it correct to try and isolate/limit the field pre-flop in limit and NL with premium hands?  Why not let everyone call, if you are so intent on playing calling stations?  Why even raise pre-flop at all except in early position to build a pot?I know there's something that I don't grasp here, and I have a feeling that you're right but please explain this to me.
You want to limit the field to give your hand a better chance of holding up.There is less variance involved.Though the variance is greater if you're playing loose/weak players all the time, that doesn't make it unprofitable for solid players.
Gotcha....sortaSo you should play extra tight in these loose games and build a pot with your big hands?Or loosen up your starting hand requirements and try to see cheap flops with suited connectors?Or a mix?
