Very very interesting question here.Well, I am a Christian that regularly attends a Presbyterian church, and I love it and believe in it in every way possible. While I would never stake anybody, it is my personal belief that if I had to I wouldn't base my decision on religion. I'd like flip a coin or something, some other reason to base that decision. Killing based on religion is too Stalin/Hitlerish for me. But I guess if I absolutely had to base my choice on religion, I'd stake the Buddhist.

I think what I lot of people don't understand is that most of it is not about "if you do this you'll get into heaven" or "if you don't do this you'll go to hell". It's mainly about how to live a better life and be a better person, and I think that anything that preaches good life skills and kindness is a great thing in itself.

Great post Daniel. I've just recently started going to church every Sunday (and most Thursdays) and this is really a great lesson to me. However I think there's a big difference between pride and self confidence. Pride is being cocky and arrogant, self confidence is having enough faith in yourself to accomplish great feats. Which act you commit is up to you.

Now try convincing your parents about that!

Ivan, you've presented some very hefty evidence for your theory. I like that.See, you're entitled to your opinion but so are all of these other people. They (like myself) may believe in God and Jesus and all of that religious stuff and they are entitled to their own opinion. However when it comes down to insulting people and thinking less of them on a topic that truly NOBODY can prove or disprove, that's a little bit unfair to everyone. Great evidence, good argument, just lose the sarcastic insulting factor to it.

24 Years ago today a legend of music, songwriting and of the fight for peace and equality died. He wrote hundreds of songs and although I unfortunately was not alive to see him play, he is still a huge idol of mine. John Lennon died on this day 24 years ago, and he will never be forgotten."When i was a Beatle i thought we were the best f***ing group in the goddamn world, and believeing that is what made us what we were." - John Lennon.
