  1. These are pretty good IMO. In the East, I know the SE is not the strongest division but I'd like to see Washington do more than sustain a hot streak like they did last season before awarding them the division. Their defense still frightens me and I'm not a big fan of their (lack of) depth. I, like many others, think Atlanta is the worst team in hockey. In the West, I'm also not a big believer in Edmonton finishing in the top 8 but I like their offseason moves health permitting. I'm still a bit concerned about giving Chicago anything above a 7 but on paper I can't really argue against them
  2. Depends on work really. I think I'm getting moved to a new group at the corp. soon so I'm not sure what they have in store for me in terms of work volume though I imagine it's significantly greater than my current position. I was hoping to play a 1k sat and maybe another prelim if possible but I'm really not sure yet....and what have you done with the underscored version of Poppy?
  3. Just got back 3:30am. LOL. Long ass day.Finished 12th in the HOSE. Field in the mid 80's or so. Top 8 got moneys (sigh). When my table broke and we got down to 2 tables left, instead of drawing the table with Allen Kessler and a bunch of donks, I of course get to play shorthanded stud on the bubble with Chris Reslock and John Cernuto as well as a younger player who was very adept. Gross. I pretty much stayed out of their way and let them beat on each other unless I had a good steal situation. I picked on the other 3 players mostly as they weren't playing back as much. I busted in one of
  4. My buddy always make those same jokes every year at the Toronto show...for example:"Hey look, I love when Bobby Orr wore that style jersey" (name on back 90's style, etc)Never gets old.
  5. Good luck. I noticed the prelim events haven't had too much action but maybe that is Borgata related. I'm hoping for a decent turnout Friday.
  6. This is where we will prolly reside eventually. Somewhere between Bridgewater and Branchburg give or take. Thank you all for your thoughts. We both live within walking distance to work so I only use my car to go to Atlantic City otherwise it sits in the carhole. Since we have no thoughts of starting a family (the world doesn't need more of me), we will be looking for something like a small but reasonably upper scale townhouse for instance.
  7. Because I'm bored...These are my 10 favorite Wii games I've owned. Please suggest Wii games I didn't list that you feel I should have because I obviously haven't played them in that case. I did not include and VC or Wiiware games.1. Super Mario Galaxy2. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess3. Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition4. Mario Kart Wii5. Zack and Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure6. Super Smash Bros. Brawl7. Wii Sports8. Madden NFL '079. Lego Indiana Jones10. Trauma Center: Second Opinion
  8. Will be seeing them at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park next week. Been about 10 years or so since I last saw them and the grey/white hair with the Horatio Sanz body still freaks me out. Anyways, ummm setlists have looked decent from what I've seen. Will report when I return for those interested.
  9. At 31, I will be buying my first home next year (after my impending doom....err wedding) and the current buying market is supermodel-esque. What's the outlook for next year in terms of home buying? More of the same?
  10. I found this funny.....value folds FTWAnyway, Sunday comes around and I registered for the $1k prelim. It got 201 players, we started with 10k, 40 minute levels. I got aces my second hand, no action. The first big hand I played was against an asian maniac. He opened to $600 at 75/150 and I called on the button with 76ss, the big blind called too. The flop came 9-5-6 with 2 clubs giving me middle pair and a gutshot. Stacks were $10.5kish effective. He bet $800 after BB checked, I tanked and called. Turn was a red Q, he bet $1100 and I tank-called again. River was a red 4, he bet $2200, I made i
  11. Closest i ever got was he was leaving the men's room at Borgata and we side stepped each other. Greatness.
  12. I would, no doubt. Her and Antonius obv.<3 Tilly's voice.
  13. IMO Gibson and Koufax are the 2 best postseason starters ever.
  14. Rough. Myself and another will be there on Friday. I'll be playing the HOSE. He'll be playing cash. I'm assuming I'll be joining him after I brick A-2-3-4-K-Q-J in Stud 8 which will invariably happen at least once.
  15. I need to win the HOSE event now to make up for missing my soon to be brother in law's bachelor party in NYC. Has to have it on the 19th obv. ghey. Could prolly do both but prolly won't feel like it, I'll prolly just play ring if I bust early. gg.
  16. I will only participate if this contest is also sanctioned by the godofflagfootball as well
  17. I've seen him too. I saw him play against Tavares in Petes land last time I was up in the Ontario area. He outplayed everyone on either roster. He scored a goal and won the shootout with a goal. He was physical, he could skate, he was incredible. That being said rarely does a defenseman fresh out of the draft, without any professional experience, dominate offensively in his rookie season. 55 pts would put him in the upper echelon of d-man scoring. I love the kid, I think he will be awesome and he was certainly my favorite prospect in the last entry draft.
  18. It's prolly a bit early to call any <= 25 yr old a HOFer but I doubt Mike Richards is going anywhere for awhiles.
  19. Galaga is one of my better games. I'm aiming for a 1M+ score on an original dedicated cabinet sometime in the near future. Hopefully at Funspot. That would get me just outside the Top 25 all-time. As it is my best would currently be 30th on twin galaxies which just isn't as sexy.
