  1. what's that saying? arguing on the internet is like the special olympics: even if you win, you're still retarded.
  2. the juice is pretty bad at the bike.$100 + $25, or $200 + $30 for example. i think that's pretty high.
  3. that runs you $2500US or more in L.A. ugly.
  4. DUH.ask him to run it twice. if he says yes, call. if no, fold. :Dbtw, where do you play O8, navy?
  5. soft NL games are most likely during weekend late afternoon and evening hours at bigger resorts. i was at mandalay bay saturday where some lawyers from san diego and orange county were basically giving money away in a $200NL game. i was wandering around trying to find a place to watch some college ball near the sports book when i saw this game and had to sit in.at one point i was in a big pot with one of the guys i was talking about and had a very good read on the hand. after he bet me almost all in on the turn, i told him, "you have a 7 and an irrelevant card in your hand, and if i'm right, y
  6. in other news, the real reason the republicans did this is because they were probably getting a lot of lobbying pressure from the B&M casino industry--corporations and indian tribes alike. online gambling directly cuts into the B&M industry's action, so the industry seemingly bought enough republicans to shut it down.this isn't about protecting people from losing their money gambling. it's about making sure that the people who lose their money gambling do it in a place and manner such that the casino industry can profit and those profits can be taxed by the US government.obviously, the
  7. NO, NO, NO.your congressman's office used software to scan your email for keywords such as online gambling, poker, and internet, and sent you a stock canned response based on what the software thought you were probably writing to your congressman about. the problem is that the canned response was not updated prior to today's events.no joke.how's that feel?
  8. with that knowledge in mind, i guess i see where it's downright impossible to build the perfect team. i'm also guessing that most of the GMs in this league are too savvy to take on salary guys who are aging and won't produce.i've read where some hockey people think tkachuk will have a resurgence this year, playing on a slightly better blues team with guerin and weight. i'd feel better about those predictions if it were 1998 instead of 2006, but what can you do?good luck.
  9. the normal american isn't very educated these days, apparently. i just got back from vegas and if the people visiting there from all over the US were any indicator, we're a pretty embarrassing, stupid, (did i mention obese?) bunch.america needs to get its **** together.
  10. 1. you are still ridiculously overpaying for tkachuk. is there any way to move him for a comparable, yet cheaper, player or a huge prospect? his best years are clearly behind him, and i think he is too slow for the "new" NHL.2. brent seabrook at $1.50 is currently your best defensive bargain. 3. you should be playing stephen weiss right now. what does jokinen have to do with it? can you only play one guy per NHL team?4. you're getting a sick deal on jokinen.5. your goaltending is also sick for the price.6. i don't know how your league works stats-wise, but why do you keep adam foote at almost
  11. i must be missing something. why is it a bad play to fold your hand and let someone else bubble out? doesn't lazy otter go broke on this hand? therre are also a few other short stacks who will have to eat a blind soon. also, the guy with 640 was going to die by ante on the next hand.the only way it's stupid is if he gets the seat if they're both eliminated because he started the hand with more chips. but then again, if he goes out and the guy with 640 wins the hand, he's the bubble boy, right?
  12. his site is http://www.fstln.com --i think you can view his play at http://www.fstln.com/pokerhands or something along those lines.another really interesting thing about tuff_fish i've noticed is a classic compulsive gambler symptom: he never refers to his losses as money. he says he's "spewing chips" and can "lose four buy ins," but he never talks about how he's actually losing real money.the guy plays like that and loses not only because he's a bad player---which, clearly, he is--but also because the highs and lows of losing probably basically feel the same to him. he yells when he wins, he
  13. has anyone ever actually clarified what that thing on his nose is? maybe we could partner with NWP and 2+2 and take up a collection so he can get it sawed off.
  14. i still think we need "i tellya, i really get tired of people calling me. i really do!."
  15. or, more to the point, if you're going to play 5h4h, raise preflop and make sure ollie has a real hand if he's in the pot.
  16. for me, it's simple: if i want to win, i need to bust 11,999 people, many but not all of whom will be complete donks like our friend with QJs. the ME is a neverending odyssey of bad plays and people pushing coinflips over and over and over. if you're a good player, to win the ME you have to get lucky a few times and not get unlucky many more times.this situation is a bit better than a coin flip. hopefully i won't get unlucky.again: i need to bust 11,999 people to win. i have a 3:2 edge to bust my first one right now. i'im taking it. i call.
  17. as a lawyer myself, i'd like to know on what basis gold's lawyer claims leyser isn't entitled to anything "as a matter of law." i think leyser's got a pretty decent claim.i also agree there was no need for this to ever go to the courts. as they say, at the end of the day a gambler is only worth his word.
  18. seriously, on $50/wk you gotta start low. play the lowest microlimit FTP has and, if you think you're good enough to have a positive expectation, $5 SNGs. once you build up enough, enter some of the smaller buyin MTTs and look to make a bigger score. the way you're going now is guaranteed failure if your goal is making money as opposed to sometimes having fun and sometimes hating dusting off $50 every week.
  19. def. not about the mobney. just trying to do something fun for the community. i know it'd be a pain in the ***.
  20. i think they'd look about like this, only in black.
  21. i found a web site that will allow me to order a visor embroidered with "JOPKE" for $20 or so. i was just going to get one but noticed that it's $14 each if i get 12 made. the price goes down from there as you buy more.i'm going to order at least 1 black cloth visor in this style with either white or red embroidered block lettering of the word JOPKE in all caps. if you want to go in with me in this order and get one or more for yourselves, drop me a PM containing your email address by the end of tomorrow pacific time. between shipping and tax, it might cost each person more than $14, but i pro
  22. until you get rid of that foolish looking sig, you will never satellite into any main events. take it from one who knows:
  23. this is such classic straight-up internet forum buggery. you guys are such uptight tools. look at the subject of this thread.
