buzzwords and jargon at home games.i'm sick of hearing **** like, "there's a lot of positive equity in this tournament," or "i limped suited connectors in late position for value."we know you read a book on hold'ed tournaments. we don't need the glossary recited back to us in a $20 sit n go.

that's ridiculous. cosmo had no pair and no draw on the second one. he had 10d-4d. looks like some awful poker, or some dumping.

me too. very interested in #19.

no way.the large size of the photo was what made it so over the top funny.then again, i don't spend a ton of time on these forums, so it was always novel and funny everytime i happened across it.

Can Someone Back Me In The Wsop Main?
DB10-2 replied to Seattleallstar's topic in General Poker Forum
i want to stake teresa:The past week I have been kind of in the dumps about poker. I was out in 6th place on League. The WSOP Fantasy Pool has been a downward rollercoaster ride and I have not even felt like playing any poker online. However, by Friday, my attitude dramatically changed and I can thank Daniel Negreanu and Layne Flack. The first thing that happened was Tuesday night. I went to League and on the way there I was thinking it would be great if my friend Leslie joined me for a drink. She lives close to the bar we play our game and this way she could finally see Mr. Sexy Brit guy. Lesl -

that makes a ton of sense, because they don't have too many poker tourneys in nebraska.

har.Phil Hellmuth calls from under the gun and Elio Cabrera limps from the small blind. Juha Helppi checks his option and the flop comes KheartQdiamond9heart. Cabrera checks and Helppi bets $45,000. Hellmuth raises to $145,000 and Cabrera moves all in for $280,000 total. Helppi folds and Hellmuth makes the call. Cabrera turns over Jspade10diamond for the nut straight. Hellmuth shows Kdiamond5diamond and is behind. However, the turn is the 2diamond and the river is the 7diamond. Hellmuth makes runner runner flush to eliminated Cabrera.

i've been saying this around L.A. for the past few months, and nobody here agrees with me. i still think it's true, though. even if some totally random donk wins this year's main event, which is virtually guaranteed, i just don't think there are going to be that many more people willing to lose $25-$10,000 learning poker. i started about a year and a half ago and am lucky to be mathematically inclined, observant, and good at reading people. i've made a few grand playing predominantly home games since i started, and already i've seen a downturn in the number of new people who want to start or c

it's hard to imagine that happening throughout a day and a half of a HORSE tourney, but stranger things have happened.

i know scott personally and i think his sense of humor and/or mode of talking about certain topics can rub people the wrong way. i personally think he's a funny guy who's more knowledgeable than he may even let on. he's worthwhile just for his "mike 'the mime' matasow" video segment on cardplayer.com, also.
